In this video i test out the 360 degree motion Tracking Solar Powered CCTV by Anran
It has a free App, loads of controll and extra features its a pretty good Camera for the Home or office
I found it reduced at £79.99 ON Amazon from £89.99

i bought one of ebay for £70 its now all installed and working fine , i am just thinking of a way to extend it out from the wall by about 9" , don't if any one on here has done it but i am open to some tips ,
Hi, I have this issue, I assume you are installing it on a corner of the building so you want maximum coverage. My thoughts at the moment is to mount the camera at the end of a piece of wood, say 1ft long, then attach the other end of the wood onto the wall. One question I need answering if you know, the motion detection is to turn the camera on and notify you of an event, but does the camera track the person?
@@domesticalnorwich7697 , i have it mounted on the side of my house which overlooks our driveway and the camera & panel are facing south , but i have a small extension to the right of the camera so i want a bracket to bring the camera out further to get all the drive in if needed , but i have found a bracket on ebay that fits to a pole so i am going to it attach it to an aerial mast bracket , the camera does notify & record an event to my SD card but i don't think it tracks

Hello my friend! I really Loved your video!!! EVERYTHING is covered in it! Really good work! Only good video I found that does the job!!! Believe me.. I have watched many of them on YT LOL!. Based on it, I am ordering this exact camera in the Philippines. My options are limited but Anran is available. Shipping issues are a problem in the Philippines. It takes a lot of time. Anran have in country customer service and warranties are honored. plus its local in a warehouse. Even with that... I expect to wait 7 to 14 days to get it! Your video secures me in having no add'l wasted time and money! A big Thank you! I became a sub!

Thanks ! it's pretty good all round to be honest and what has impressed me most since the review is that its only needed Charging once in over 5 weeks and still counting, the battery life is incredible for average use
I just purchased 3 with solar because of the support you get. I installed 8 of another brand but there was absolutely no help so i took them down and returned.
solar are quite good now days the tech has come a long way ! yes some brands offer little support but to be honest in my experience They were ok at Anran

To be honest Im not to sure other than i believe Q3 is the updated Version so i assume it has better battery life Improved Solar panel or quality
i cant find much of difference but i havn't tested the Q1 tbf but looking at specs i dont see much difference hope that helps answer your question

Hello sir, I just bought it and bought also a year subscribtion for cloud and i can not connect it. The camera it works perfectly put when i just try to connect to the cloud it said to me that is a network problem but it is no one. I Have a 2,4 Ghz Wifi, 97%connection and it also does not work ..please sir i am trying like for 4 hours.. what should I do? I reseted the router, the app, everything
How do you zoom in with the camera
I brought G1 pro but im having a hard time on connecting it to the app on my phone. Can somebody help me?
Hi i havn't used the G1 but if you have the app installed you can either add device manually or by scanning the QR code but there is a few steps required I f your still Struggling i can write out the whole connection process for you but also check wifi is compatable as some are only 2.4 ghz not 5 G compatable and some will strugle to connect to a router if there is lots of devices connected sometimes a wifi refresh and restart can help

Thanks for your kind words and Yes but you either have to set up a Guest to either share it or if you log into your Anran account on another device with the app installed you can live View anytime Yes
Is it possible to remove SD card put it into chip reader and review on a PC say with Quicktime? Thank you and nice review!
Thankyou for the kind words and Yes mate it is ideal to do that anyway if you wanted to back up to a physical copy of footage ! the access to the SD slot can at times be restricted if the camera s possition is in a cirtain spot but you just pan tilt it in the app to access the Card in that case hope that helps answer your question
The event recoding was working well for 2 days with the SD card. Then stopped viewing the video. But still recoding the event.

I subscribed with the cloud , after subscription the camera was not able to record any events.
Any advice please
ok im not 100 % sure it sounds like somewhere the settings are sending your footage to cloud storage as the memory card may have been full also you can access all the live events without subscription to the cloud personally i recommend using the free version unless you do want to keep and refer to all the footage at some point
if you look in the messages tab there should be alerts but alerts need to be active and it can be a little annoying if you have pets settting it off all day like i do etc
it sounds like the memory card got full and the camera didnt know where you want the footage to be kept so has no back up i only SD for back up and re write after 7 days try restarting the set up process check all permissions are active and your live feed and captures should all be there for free my friend

sure you just pinch the screen outward with two fingers, like you would on a picture for eg:
you dont need to use the PTZ
if you press the full screen icon (bottom right of live view) and rotate your device it's bigger and a little easier to do.

How do you see the previous videos?. I use a SD card instead of monthly paid cloud storage. I can’t see anything from the playback and there’s no option of continuous recording. It can only record videos by turning on the smart detection and alarm prompt tone where it rings when somebody walks by but I don’t want the cctv to ring all the damn time when somebody walks by and the cctv is place on public. How to turn it on?

you can access the recorded footage from the 3 lines top left corner click messages then alarm messages all the footage should be there you don't need to pay for that you only need to pay for cloud but its not necassary
the alarm alerts are annoying i had the same issue
tbh i solved this by Turning alert notifications off and on when need be
to do this scroll right on the pan and zoom page and select audio warning where there are a couple of options i hope this helps
What does the Red/Blue Led light indicate next to the charging port? Mine flashes blue-red when a 2a charger is connected.
red means charging blue means fully charged if it flashes maybe the charger cable is to powerfull for it or it sounds like its confusing the device into thinking its fully charged before power is taken on the cable must be incompatable or inefficient for this camera bare in mind it is Solar power so it draws a long slow trickle charge from the pannel normally. depending on configuration like in my case i need to charge every now and then i just use a standard usb cable micro hope that helps

What are the benefits of adding a 128GB SD card? Does it record footage on its own? For example, that way I can view my outdoor activities over night while sleeping?

The SD card would just back up the footage and give you a physical copy incase of a crime or something important,
as for your use case im not sure this Camera would be suitable as it only Records once it has detected motion and the clips are only around 10 second s
although there is a manual record button in the app, so technically you could record while sleeping i guess but im not sure it would run through the night as storage may become an issue i hope this helps answer your question

@@REALLYRANDOMREVIEW5 acually in case of the more typical common "crime", a cloud based storage is your only hope to still have footage, least the jerks who've done crimes on my property, the first thing they do, Is find the angle my camera isn't facing or can't turn, and ripp the camera down, dismount the memory card, then break wtv they can on camera and take memory card w them or dispose of it where ever I can't find...idk maybe my neighborhood criminals are like pro or something, lol, idk, but I've spent hundreds $ and many hours trying to catch the criminals.

No sir Only for the Upgraded Cloud Storage But i just App for free and and Use a Micro USB as My Back up There is a choice to pay extra for extra features but in my opinion its Not really worth it the camera is fully opperational without extra fee s I hope that helps answer your question and i hope you Have a Great day

Thankyou i did try out the siren its quite loud but as i use the Unit indoors the siren is not required for me but its loud enough to alert someone or yourself but not so loud like a house allarm for eg

Not sure about that if im honest after looking i dont think so on the siren page it just has the volume and on off tab
What controls the alarm?
Is there a way for camera to send alert to two phones that are connected? Seems like the alert is only sent to the last phone that viewed the app.
i think there is in the settings there should an option to share with family or friend i think this is how you do it but i havn't tried personally i hope that helps some my friend have a great Day !
does anyone know how to turn off the lights? i tried all settings and when it dectetes movement if turn on the lights ....???? if it cant turn off the lights i have to send it back
It should only do that if you activate the lights via app or if it detects movement.
is there anyway you can connect direct to a huawai 2019 mobile phone without a home rouyter as ive not got a landline to have a router i use tethering a lot from mobile to desktop any details or advice would be appreciated thank you

yes mate you can Teather, point of interest though as for the model of phone i can't say for sure but i tested it on 3 devices 1 A Samsung A51 2021.

I am able to hot spot on any of those devices and also the app works just as well although a little slower on the older devices i hope that helps answer your question
I have this exact same one but it doesn't have wifi of its own, I am asked to scan a QR code on my phone using the CCTV's lens which it won't detect. I'm beyond pissed at this point
I have just purchased 2 with same problem, not happy at all, contacted the seller and now I have to waste my time in returning this rubbish.
How you zoom ,i have the same security camera, and i don't know how to do it ,,can you help a show me how to zoom.
you can pinch the screen like in a google tab if you full screen your camera tilt your phone to the side and pinch and expand your fingers on the screen it should zoom in an out if its this model I hope that helps have a great day my friend !
How do add a family member & get notifications from the security camera ?
You add family memeber in the device settings there is a Me tab at the botttom right of the app,
select the me tab
then select share
a options menu should show up asking which device you want to share with
as for notifications they are in the main settings
click live view
you should see a Cog icon appear in the top right corner
here you can adjust motion detection sensitivity alarms etc the constant allarm on max settings was too high for me it alerts you of everything even light changes turning a room light on for eg so i have mine set to motion only and have the notifications on but on silent i activate them when i go out which could be easier but not much of an issue in my experience

Just wondering do these cameras need a house wifi to connection to work? as id like to get a couple for my horse yard that has not wifi and no power on the yard
ok so this would be ok in this use case but it would require a Internet connection, to view live footage, Hotspots can also work but tbh
i would recommend something with either back up power or constant recording for that kind of thing as the Horses may set the camera off over and over and drain the battery quicker it is solar so you can get around that problem
but then you would still need to either boost wifi to reach that area or if its too far away maybe consider finding a way to get it there
It will still charge in low light all be it slower battery life is good too hope this helps answer your question
Thank you for the quick reply and its very helpfull tbh the live feed side im not to fussed about really if it can records to a memory card and doesn't require wifi to operate thats fine by me and also 1 other question does the camera track when it detects motion so if I was to walk past the camera would it follow where I went?
@@macfletcherhotmail Hi yes it can record to a mem card I believe 128 gb Micro SD It has a wide coverage and motion detection but this model doesnt auto track
you would get a notification on your device to say motion detected you then could manually get a 360 degree view
tbh i have another Anran not solar but a little cheaper and maybe more suited for your needs that has Full motion Tracking but Video won't be out for a week or so I have another budget one to do first if your not in a hurry though could be usefull
I really think there is something wrong with my camera. I cant set it up. It’s own wifi does not show up in my settings. I had previous anran cctvs and all were set up quickly.
did you try the factory reset by holding the reset button to try again if you did my apologies if your still having trouble try giving me some more detail i will try to assist you my friend

yes it can be pluged into mains for USB charging too or Solar which trickle charges it
but battery life is incredible in my testing with heavy use mine lasts months at a time without any power warnings plus it reminds you at 20 % to charge if needed but yes mains charging is my back up methood

Iv not tested the V380 if it's one of Anrans units i may try it out in future but yes this is a Fairly good Unit at this price point

Although i tested with a 2015 Samsung and a 2021 both were fine if you check you may also have a update i had one i didnt know about last month and it improved little bugs i since found

@@Hidrocalido2015 ahh Ok yes there are a few models Q1 Q2 Q3 Etc some have the Pan tilt zoom feature some have the motion Tracking not all Track automatically but still work together in the App i use the manual track for indoor and auto for outside
How far of a zoom can it do to be capable of still reading a license plate? Readable
i would say depending on distance its fine around immidiate area but at around 20 to 30 meters it may struggle to read a plate ! i have a newer version in edit now video will be up soon also Anran and 5mp with auto tracking which maybe better suited to your needs and if you have an issue with criminals stealing the Cards destroying cameras etc
a few options ... you could either go with a Hard wired nvr or dvr system and hide the storage device somewhere in the home or you could add a small cage around the camera unit as its fairly inexpensive and would prevent easy access to devices also make sure to back up any footage digitally so you do have several copys you may need to maintain the file sizes etc but its an option

My has been working intermittently. Sometimes won’t wake from being dormant sometimes won’t respond to review footage sometimes won’t turn on to view in live mode .
i havn't experienced this personally although i did get a period where the PTZ was a little choppy and not as smooth as i hoped but a Update on the app fixed that i would see if there are any updates and maybe try a complete factory reset and re connect as it should perform quite well i still use mine daily for over a year now i hope you can resolve the issue my friend
I’ve finally worked out that wifi range has been my problem 3-4 meters good working range. My other cameras of same brand have been working fine at longer ranges.
Glad you solved the Problem, Mine is in my Office and My Router is just in the next Room so thats around 4 or 5 Meters and maybe why i never had any Issues ! if your struggling with connection...
and you do mean to get the QR Code ?
you need to reset the camera by holding reset button 3 seconds this will then try to repair the connection press the promts on screen that will either direct you to the QR code or failing that there is a manual set up you could try !
if you get stuck i can try help you out further hope it helps point you in the right direction
Whats the run time of the camera when triggered on full charge?
The run time is very good once fully charged it will last approx 6 to 8 weeks depending on usage maybe longer without re charging. or the solar panel can keep it at around 80 % it still charges a little even in poor day light ! (sun prefered)
each time the motion is triggered which in my case is A Lot lol, I have it record 20 second clips if somone was under it for a minuite it would give you 3 clips Theres loads of custom settings to reduce battery life too like Spot light off in Daytime etc

Yes it comes with a USB lead aswel for manual Charging in case of low sun light and the battery life is incredible to be fair to it, better than expected.
Also Yes if it powers down it remembers all previous wifi settings etc
it basically refreshes your life feed everytime you open the app and if for some reason it does disconnect you from wifi for any reason You dont need to do the whole set up again it remembers the last connection but may ask for a password hope that helps answer your question

If your used to NVR / DVR etc then yes it isn't at that level of security
hmm, doesnt seem to kick in recording with human detection activated day and night?
Hi Mate there are quite a few sub sections and options in the menu s it can be a little tricky navigating at first im sure its just a setting that needs turning on or do you have the IR sensors on ? It should detect motion and detect movement
It doesnt live track motion but does activate recording when detected
all i can suggest is to play with all the setting if you still cant get it to work i will try and trouble shoot and help further
Hi, Can you press record and have it running for 24 hours? If so how long would the 128gb sd card last with record and 24 hours usage?
yes you can press record and leave it running im not sure on the total run time of the ssd it will vary on footage quiality 2k will use more space than 1080p for eg so i would have to test time wise but yes you can record constant if you prefer it can also be set up to auto re write so it will back up to the sd card then when full start the sd card starts again i believe iv never had any issues but i dont record 24/7 just on motion detection which also works well
How do I boost the signal it receives?
To boost the signal I think you would need a 3rd party work around for eg
If You want to place it in the field to monitor live stock but dont have wifi in the field then you would have options via hot spots etc
as farr as boosting the actual system though im not sure you can, but its pretty good already within recommended opperating Range

if you place it in a well lit area Yes it basically trickle charges and the battery life is Very good so it can stay on constant
mine lasts days like 4 or 5 days at a time off solar with a lot of motion alerts from my pets...
on solar I never need to worry about Charging but i live in the North UK in a valley type town which is always Dull and cloudy plus my placement is not ideal so I need to charge now and then but yes if you have the solar panel placed in direct sun light it should be fine my friend !

Hi i just looked into it for you and there is no shipping option to Your country unfortunately.
Maybe you coud try (Anran Direct) and order directly, The only other option i could think of would be if you have a friend in a shipping zone they could buy it for you and ship it to you i hope this gives you some options
How I can watch it from different devices at the same time
click the me tab on the bottom then swlwct share complete set up and it should allow a 2nd device to also monitor

Im not entirely sure to be honest i think the difference maybe Extended Battery Life with the newer model the Q3 maybe a better immage too but couldn't say for sure iv not tested the Q1

There are two differences, q1 is pir q3 is AI detection, and the q3 mount is for both wall and ceiling, the q1 is just wall.

How do you get the full screen?

If you look in the bottom right corner while live viewing in the app there is a square icon if you tap that it flips to full screen horizontal mode

on the aplication there is a tab (bottom right) to turn it on or off
if you mean once it has been activated via motion detection etc i think its normal but you could try
try the motion detection tab (bottom left) and there should be an option to have strobe light activated or deactivated i hope this helps solve your issue

Hi, there is a sensitivity bar and maybe that is to set low.
it can be a little confusing to navigate at first but once you have gone through a few times its not a bad user interface to be honest
One question I was always curious to have an answer for, what happens when your batteries die out? Seems to me a lot of solar powered cctv cameras have one common problem - you cannot change their batteries. Or can you on some models perhaps? They might work for say 3 years tops but it would be a pity if they cannot be changed or replaced. Thank you.
Very good question i suppose you could change the battery on anything in theory but im not sure how you would although after testing the battery life on this model i believe they have used a High quality maybe even a lithium battery
shame but nothing really these days is built with user maintainance in mind unfortunately

Some cctv cameras I have looked at on amazon might be of the battery replacement type because on the specifications of such cameras, it says batteries not included. Its a shame that such cctv cameras are not of good quality and then the good quality cameras have batteries that are inbuilt and that are probably next to impossible to access and change.

I havn't used it on Desk top personally but after a quick search In google play store on PC the Anran App is Called ARC
but it is Anran still and it says available on all your devices so i think so !
there is also an Install button so im almost sure you Can
How long is the wire?
theres Two cables that come with it a USB charger which is fairly Long and then the solar cable which is even longer i would guess around 3 meters or so plenty of length for adjustments and reach. I hope that answers Your Question i Hope You have a great Day

That’s will be great because it looks like a good camera with lots of features but I think the app keep crashing for iPhone even when it says offline still sends notifications I don’t know how 😊

I ordered 4 from Walmart, 3 of the 4 would not charge from the solar panel. Called the support line. No answer. Will get a refund
oh dear not a good outcome 3 of 4 wouldnt charge from solar is an issue maybe they were faulty or something tbh i have tested several Anran cameras now without any issue at all Customer services was also responsive last time i checked but i havnt used them in a year now maybe so i will do a updated test with customer services to make sure they are responding to customers as i would no longer recommend them if they arnt i hope you find a suitable solution my Friend
Do you know how long the wire for the solar panel is?
Hi Yes its around 2.2 meters around 8 feet approx its long enough to set the solar pannel way above the camera if you wished hope this helps you out

Im not sure i understand the question ?
Do you mean you cant Find the History ? or its not showing anything in there
the history is in messages at the top left of the app
If you refuse permissions though when setting up the app this can cause issues it can't notify you effectively and in which case maybe some missing footage etc if you need help i will try further
is the history/recording video 24 hours uninterrupted?
Hi mate unfortunately No it doesn't record 24/7 nor does it give full History 24 hours previous for eg
It only records when you tell it too in the app, or when Motion / sound is detected depending on your settings.

Yes there is an option to upgrade and pay for cloud storage but i wouldn't recommend it because you can access all the footage
home, my messages, allerts, for free
and if your not getting the allerts you need to switch on in settings, also i think you have to confirm your account and accept permissions for the allerts
an annoying thing is every time i go out to my car a siren sounds , i shall have to move the car to wash it

You can Turn the siren off in settings or customise the volume if You have a play with the app there is quite a few custom things i missed on first inspection !
