Hi !
It was quite some time since I made cutting board video.
I'm always thinking about new designs for cutting boards. And I finally had enough time to try it out.
And I can say that I'm happy with the results :-)
Material that I use for this cutting boards are My own Walnut , Slovenian maple and oak and some zebrano wood.
When I was making them I had an idea in my mind. To make something different something that anyone would like just by the look at the cutting board . And there smilly face cutting board was born :-)
For the most part I use my Walnut ( root) and it has such beautiful figured grain and for inlays I use maple.
I porportionally draw on maple end graun eyes and mouth and cut it out on bandsaw. Than I transferred the shape onto cutting board and rout out material.
Next day I sand it flush and smilly cutting board was done.

I like and love all. Kindly could you do a coffee table with off-cut and/or scrap timber pieces. I really love the idea of having random colours and shapes (checkered) and finally some EPIC patterns. You're way tooooo creative and talented. Best videos

Wow! Pretty much all of them. I particularly liked the boards with diamond patterns on them, as well as the 45 degree cut end grain, and, of course, that circular "face"! I will have to make one of them one day!

GR8 Wood, GR8 craftsmanship, and GR8 boards, and I love that built-in table saw sled - I don’t believe I’ve seen that before.
I can’t imagine how you create the designs for these boards and know that the starting layout is going to end with the finished pattern you originally thought of. It’s a mystery to me, but perhaps when I start making boards it will become somewhat apparent...I hope!

Wow. You Sir are a Master. I'm currently making four cutting boards out of Maple, Cherry and Walnut. Mine are end grain but don't hold a candle to yours. I wish I had your creativity to make those type of patterns. All of them are gorgeous. love your saw as well. That thing looks awesome. Thank you for sharing.
