I have my dad's old Navy blanket. I didn't know him - he passed when I was an infant, but I think of him when I hear you sing this song.

I was a Marine at 17 and I've been a musician a singer and a songwriter all my life as my profession. That song hit me hard. What a great piece of work.
I would call it a masterpiece.

My uncle was a Marine in the late 60's. I wrote a song for him, finally, after he passed. Thanks for this, John.

John, do you use a floor monitor or in-ear system as a monitor. I have a Peavey Mixer Amp that goes to a big ol PA speaker. But many places that I play, the crowd noise is louder than the speaker. I'm looking for a cheap way to use in ear monitor. Suggestion? Thanks. kg

Man, John Gorka, Your choice of such very dissonant and unbalanced chords is unsettling, but I'm sure that's your point of the song.
