This has always been one of my favorites from your immense repertoire. It profoundly says so much and taught me some new chords. I like your Lowden! Thanks, John!
John, do you use a floor monitor or in-ear system as a monitor. I have a Peavey Mixer Amp that goes to a big ol PA speaker. But many places that I play, the crowd noise is louder than the speaker. I'm looking for a cheap way to use in ear monitor. Suggestion? Thanks. kg
One of the most beautiful heart wrenching songs in the world. Love you John

I have my dad's old Navy blanket. I didn't know him - he passed when I was an infant, but I think of him when I hear you sing this song.
This always been one of my favorite tunes you've written. Brilliant tune and wonderful performance.

I think of John as a story telling philosopher with a guitar.
You can’t write like this and not have a beautiful heart. I’m looking forward to show in NH.
Here’s to your father. ❤️🇺🇸❤️
Thank you. My dad is a Marine veteran.
Magnetically and tragically beautiful 💜🎶🙏🏻
If I could pick, it would be like this.

My uncle was a Marine in the late 60's. I wrote a song for him, finally, after he passed. Thanks for this, John.
Did you ever record it? Even on a basic tape recorder? Love to hear it.

USMC. 1968-1974. IST MARDIV.
Few can turn a phrase as poignantly and often as humerously as John Gorka. Seen you play a few times. When ya coming to Austin next?
WE SHOULD COMPARE MARINE STORIES.!!
Why do you delete my comments Mr. workout? Are you with the Italians?
Man, John Gorka, Your choice of such very dissonant and unbalanced chords is unsettling, but I'm sure that's your point of the song.
