You forgot quite a bit of history. The names have changed over time. I also believe Israel was established before the name Palestine came about. If I remember correctly, I believe it was called Canaan. It is a very complicated history from what I've researched. My guess is there are many decent people on both sides that just want to live in peace, and then there's the A**holes that keep stirring things up. It's very sad. A bedouin commander that I knew from the IDF still refuses to identity as Palestinian.

If I remember correctly, I believe it was called Canaan. It is a very complicated history from what I've researched.
