Jay is so dope! Theres 2feet incoming by this Tuesday! My favorite glades are Beaver Pond, Valhalla and Tibuktu....just the perfect amount of steepness to be spicy when its deep without being absolutely life-threatening
For your first time skiing through terrain like that you did super well, it's all about constant practice in there and lapping that terrain! Keep at it, great video!
i grew up in Montgomery vt at the base of jay peak and m gym class in the winter was a 2 hr ski lesson in group and the rest of the day do what you want. If you want a challenge its the green beret
at the top of the peak there is a hikers shelter stay in there over night and get fresh new snow for your first run you will love it take the vermonter to lower quoi
Hope you can visit Vail! Fun biking and snow trails. 😎🤙 [5:24] Almost had it! [6:35] Gotta seek out the Pow on trails like this, IMO Blue Glades are fun for sure! Thanks for sharing your runs with the world!
the blue glades at jay are mostly just blue glades... staircase and everglade, the face, green beret... those are steep. but if you haven't been, go through the green ones! they are perfectly built trails, nice steady pitch with a cat track winding thru so you can practice spotting and sticking lines one, two, three turns at a time... then hit the blues!!
@@GoodTrailswell, YOU don't need the green glades, nice work on everglade! pretty damn good for three years in. bonaventure glade is another good one. mostly open and blueish except for a couple spots. i only ever went to tremblsnt in the summer but its definitely not as steep! if you get a chance to ski smugglers notch or burke, they're both great too. lots of fun, nice trees. vuck fail!!!
@@GoodTrailsseriously, great run on everglade. its your first time on terrain like that?? and in challenging snow?? at least it was a little soft though- still better than total hardpack. you're doing all the right things, sidestepping over rocks, hitting the trees feet first! good feet-on-boards control... like you know how to hockey stop
I agree, Jay is my new favourite East coast resort, and my two days late Feb were the MOST CHALLENGED I’ve ever been skiing!!! Most of the 2 foot storm’s powder was gone in the trees, but enough patches remained in some glades, esp Timbuktu and North Glade (Video on my channel). We ended our trip with Green Beret, hardest run of my life lol😅
@GoodTrails I did the Masif for the first time this year, and it was TOTALLY worth it. Your trip to Jay Peak looks like fun, and it's on my list for next year.
Good vid man, I’ve skiing jay for 13 years now it’s alway interesting to see someone else’s opinion on it.

Nice! I hope we get some of that snow up in Quebec! It’s raining at the moment…
@@GoodTrails yeah my home mountain is Tremblant and its been a rough season

Not quite my first time in trees… but absolutely the hardest skiing I have done! I can’t wait to go back next year and hopefully on a powder day!
@@GoodTrails Mountain looks legit for east coast skiing, stoked about the terrain you showed here!

In 1986 I was skiing buzzed and broke my foot green beret !!!
Oh man that sucks!
as a teen i was a snow bord instructor there
great video just hit jay peak this past Tuesday. tram was closed but still an amazing day at jaypeak
I hear they are getting another 30 - 40 cm this week!

I’d love to get out west for sure! I will probably need a few more trips to Jay before I head out west!

Great stuff - looking forward to more mtb content as well. Just purchased a Norco Sight as my first full squish. Coming off a Trek Roscoe.
Nice dude! My second bike is a trek roscoe

That’s awesome! I can’t wait to go back and try green beret! I will have to watch your vid to get the beta
@@GoodTrails when did you go? I was there the 20-21 of Feb
Sweet! Valhalla Glades FTW!
if you can do black at jay you can go anywhere
Ever skiied in Sainte-Anne and/or Massif du Sud ? Wondering how that compares to some of the stuff I've thrown myself into.
I have not been to either of those places. But, I can say it’s way more difficult than Tremblant by a long shot

how steep would you say this is in degrees?
That’s a good question but I do not know!
The face chutes are up to 45 degrees at their maximum.
This place looks awesome! I want to go! ⛷️
You should! I’m pretty sure the snow is good right now!
