Cadburys Milk Tray chocolates was launched in 1915 and has subsequently enjoyed its place in the heart of its customers. It has been supported by arguably the most famous advertising character in British TV history, the Milk Tray Man, featured on TV from 1967. The advertising strapline 'All because the lady loves' remains an iconic cultural reference for the British public.
Man dressed in black stands at the top of a cliff and dives into the sea. He avoids a shark and boards a boat. He opens his briefcase and leaves Milk Tray on a bed. Before he dives back into the sea he places a large knife between his teeth.

Gary Myers (born 22 July 1941 at Wiluna, Western Australia) is a model and actor, best known as the original "Milk Tray Man" in the long-running television advertising campaign for the Cadbury chocolates that ran from 1968 until 1984. His other notable role was that of Captain Lew Waterman in Gerry Anderson's cult TV series, UFO.

Was the briefcase waterproof then? Of course not. All that sea water would ruin that cadbury chocolate

Can't beat the old ads, much better than the crappy ads we get now. Can't beat the originl Cadburys Milk Tray, the ones we get now are rubbish, nearly evetthing is a 'truffle', I thought a truffle was a type of fungi. I miss the turkish delight, strawberry creme, nougat, coconut ice, hazelnut caramel, etc the ones you could look at and know what was in them by the shape.
