Been really impressed with Derby this season, they pushed us all the way and forced us to play the way we did. Their fans gave been cheerful, respectful and fair. A great club, and I'm happy they're joining us in the Championship next season
Certainly gave you a run for your money and at your place and a draw was a fair enough result. Our players were classed as a bunch of old fogey's but maybe experience does matter and not just with women. Lol. Looking forward to next season and maybe we will both get chance to play our arch enemies?
Im honestly so happy right now, the amount of shit our clubs been through the past few years has been so painful, but finally we have something to believe in again, all credit must go to David Clowes and Paul Warne, they've been incredible
Derby fan, really appreciated your content this season, interesting and clear analysis, feel like you're due big things in the future 🙌 Will be rooting for Oxford in the play offs, but so incredibly glad we're not involved 😂
The Dessiah, local Cowley boy comes good. Think Pompie and Derby deserve their promotions and now it’s anybodies for the final place. Lincoln had an amazing run in but just fell short, good luck to all COYY!
You’ve done well and deserved to reach the play-offs. However, Posh will be wanting to avenge that 5-0 defeat away. We beat Oxford 3-0 at home, so Oxford don’t qualify as our bogey team (yet). These play-off games are exciting and entertaining. Hope we will have learnt from those heavy Oxford and Sheffield Wednesday defeats. Posh’s game against Bolton had something of the flavour of a play-off game. If the Posh V Oxford games are as good as the Posh V Bolton game was, then we’re in for a delicious feast of football.
Will be tough hope Wednesday stay up only need a point now I go to a few games bro inlaw is a Wednesday fan it was good the gamed against Oxford we watched together.
Hi mate, another outstanding video as Always, I've been telling you for weeks mate, that Oxford would be in the play-offs, well done. My prediction now is Bolton v Oxford at Wembley. Come on you super white men. Keep up the Brilliant work you're doing mate
I have a feeling that Oxford will win the playoffs. They are in good form and scoring plenty of goals. Also, the bookies and the smart money will be on the Bolton, Peterborough and Barnsley. Besides, nobody outside of Oxford will give them a prayer:
So pleased for you Jack. Really hoped we'd beat Lincoln and that you'd make the playoffs. Would love to see Oxforn in The Championship next season, purely for your coverage alone👏👏👏👏
As a Watford fan I'm really excited about the playoffs. I went to the Sunderland game I want a new team like Oxford to go up. Unlucky Huddersfield & Birmingham 🤭
Thanks Jack for great content. I’m just disappointed I found you so late in the season. Hope you win the playoffs, and follow us and bring this podcast to the Championship 👀
It was said a few time yesterday, we didn't do it the easy way, but it was the Oxford way. To say it's been a rollercoaster season would be putting it mildly. Highs like wins over Derby and Barnsley away from home back to back, battering Peterborough 5-0, the late wins over Charlton Cambridge and Cheltenham, the goal scoring of Greg Leigh, Reuben's masterclass away to Leyton Orient, Oisin's long range belter at The Valley and Harris' late flurry of goals. At the same time some of the lows have been horrid, getting smashed 5-0 by Bolton on Sky, outclassed 3-0 by Peterborough away, dropping points late to Port Vale Reading Northampton twice and a few others, seeing one of our best performances of the season end in a loss as a result of a defensive mistake at Fratton Park, throwing away a 2-0 lead at home to Derby. Fair to say this club is gonna shorten the lives of a few of us. The match yesterday was odd, start of the game Exeter's high press was forcing us to make rash decisions and give up possession from which they had chances, but we saw out that tough spell and Sparky's work rate again pays off and through one on one at this point is the season he's not gonna miss. Second is a brilliant ball to the left flank, Murph takes on his man and causes another League 1 defender nightmares. When Cam steps up to take a pen, the outcomes is pretty much certain and he maintains his 100% conversion rate from the spot. Ciaron had two very good chances in the first half but one was very well saved and the other just wide. Second half started the way the first did, Exeter's press causing us issues. Owen loses his man and Ciaron is slow to react for Ali's goal and at that point the nerves really set in. They had a number of good chances to equalise, but we saw the game out fairly professionally, which is not something that could be said of this side throughout the season, every player putting their bodies on the line to make sure we put ourselves in the place if results went our way. We even saw a bit of the "dark arts" which is not something typically done by Oxford sides. At the start of the day I was hoping for 6th and wishing there was a massive goal swing so Derby would finish 3rd, but we were lucky those around us dropped points. While it's by no means an easy tie, if we'd drawn Bolton I'd've given up now as over the 4 halves of football we've played against them this season, we looked ok for 1 of them. Peterborough will be tough and no doubt they'll be wanting to get a bit of revenge for the most recent encounter. At the start of the season playoffs was the goal, during the first 3 months we got a bit carried away after a good start and began aiming for automatics. We're where we aimed to be and while undoubtedly Oxford are probably the least likely to go up, we've shown against 2 of the other 3 sides that we can pull a performance out to get a result. If it's Bolton in the final though, we'll get smashed again. Not saying I told you so to those that questioned him, but since his appointment and through the tough runs this season, I've said stick with Des, trust the process and believe. I could see what he was trying to do with this side and the patience has paid off. The fan base for the most part is behind him and the players, the atmosphere away has always been pretty good but at Grenoble Road has been so much better recently thanks to the work we as a supporters group have been doing behind the scenes and the club feels to be much closer to singing from the same sheet than it has the last few seasons. Regardless of which league we're in next season, there needs to be some tough decisions made for the squad; -Do we look to keep Jamie Cumming who's been inconsistent or look to sign a new #1?, -Do those who've featured sporadically have a future at the club like Oisin Smyth, Stephan Negru and Jordan Thorniley?, -Murph has said he'd like to say but are we able to tie Joe Bennett, Josh Murphy and Marcus McGuane down to new deals? -Would it be possible to extend Fin Stevens' loan or do we look for a new right back to compete with Sam Long? I also think we need to decide whether Billy Bodin and James Henry can continue to feature?, imo either of the two is great as an experienced head to bring on and see out games or help us through tough situations but not both. -With Kyle Edwards seemingly gonna be kept around until at least the summer after the first major injury of his career, is there a place still for Marcus Browne? It seems he's suffered the same unfortunate fate as Alex Gorrin did, a major injury which came as he was in good form has negatively impacted his Oxford career. After going off at Barnsley, suffering a further set back against Grimsby and making his full return in mid March, he's featured in every game but seems to me to have lost a bit of pace and lacking a bit of confidence in himself when taking on his man. Des has shown with Murphy that he's willing to work with a player in a similar situation so maybe there's a path for Browne to get back to his old self, but with that role so pivotal to De's system would he want to risk another lengthy period out while there's so much competition for that place. -Do we enter the market for another striker, or following a decent loan at Barnet does Gatlin O'Donkor have a place alongside Harris and a Will Goodwin who also seemingly can't stay fit. Lots to be looked at this summer for Des and his staff, Ed Waldron, the rest of the hierarchy and the fans of the club.
Really? Paul Warne charismatic? He looks like a bum that they pulled in off the street, and sets his team up for 0-0 every game. I really don't get this Derby love-in.
Who are you Brad Pitt? Would not mind his salary, bum off the street or not. Far more charismatic and articulate than most and always respectful of the opposition, pissed off Bolton fan by any chance?
Sets up for 0-0 every game ? Totally wrong there Captain. Paul Warne just broke records for The Rams this season ie. most away league wins in a campaign; most points in a single season; matched Derby's all time record for wins in a campaign; finished the season with a win rate of 9 out of 11 and that is the best closing out run 23/24 for any of the teams in League 1; best goal difference in the League (better than Portsmouth). Paul Warne said early on in the season that Derby needed to average 2 points a game to go up and he achieved exactly that - and you choose to insult the way he looks ? Brilliant analysis there Captain...( ! )

John mousinho done Oxford an almighty favour
And Barnsley if Lincoln had won Barnsley’s last min slip up would of costed them play offs
PUP from Victoria, Canada. Good luck to Oxford in the playoffs.
Derby fan, really appreciated your content this season, interesting and clear analysis, feel like you're due big things in the future 🙌
Will be rooting for Oxford in the play offs, but so incredibly glad we're not involved 😂
Derby fan with mates in Peterborough, I just hope I get to ask if the time is 5 past Peterborough again to them.
Jack you love Pompey almost as much as Oxford!
It goes both ways 💙

I have to admit i wasnt that sure he was the man for the job but warne proved he has the experience needed
Great season of content btw Jack,..top stuff
Thank you and goodnight 🎉🎉
Gravity does not lie!!!
Those who get promoted after 46 games totally deserve it!
And those who get relegated deserve it too!
Science and nature
I predicted at start of the season pompey derby top 2 and Oxford win the play offs from a wednesday fan
We’ll be playing you next season - Posh fan
Will be tough hope Wednesday stay up only need a point now I go to a few games bro inlaw is a Wednesday fan it was good the gamed against Oxford we watched together.
Got crystal balls by any chance? Lol.

Happy for Portsmouth and Oxford, will be happier if Oxford get promoted via playoff's.
Onto Saturday 👀
What a 24 hours
In fairness, it was help your team, or that grumble guts Lincoln fan who has moaned about pompey all year? So it was a no brainer ... I did chuckle
Sometimes I wonder if Jake even likes football
Smile

Really hope Oxford win the play offs from a Pompey fan
Wycombe 1 Charlton 0 seemed to be missed out . The Blues rose from the dead some time in January and face next season with confidence.
We are going up say we are going up!! Come on you Rams!!
Im not nervous for our play off game... YET. Im still rrvelling in the fact we made them
One relieved Ram here 😅
The mighty Rams deserved this, so much heartbreak recently we fans really needed a party. COYR!!

I really don't get this Derby love-in.
Paul warne is a top manager with a great football brain. What he looks like is irrelevant
Who are you Brad Pitt? Would not mind his salary, bum off the street or not. Far more charismatic and articulate than most and always respectful of the opposition, pissed off Bolton fan by any chance?
Check the league table, best goal difference and keeper got the golden glove, how can that be playing for nil nil all the time?

errm….we had a goal difference of +41. Best in the league pal. Better re-think that ridiculous comment.
