I highly recommend the 1978 film to those who haven't seen it. Terrific cast, great music (by Nino Rota), and no CGI! The sequel, Evil Under The Sun, was also very good. The later ones in that series are skippable.

IMHO it's better. The detail of Hercules Poirot with his night routine, moustache and hair net always cracks me up. Not disrespect to Mr. Branagh.

These remakes of Agatha Christie movies by Kenneth Branagh have been so disappointing.
The CGI trains and boats feel nothing like the real things used in the 1970s films. Even the lighting looks bad because it's done in front of green screens.

Perfect, it's all fake, with this weak and lifeless CGI

The casting was spot on in the original version. And no horrible CGI too. All in all the superior version by a long way

The version of 78 is 1000 times better, the 2022 is all so false, plastic, bland, not a river of truth is, everything is CGI, not to mention the actors who are very weak

Why would you want to wait 1 year, 2 months and 11 days after your Pinocchio comparison to make the next video?

Because making side-by-sides for UA-cam is one of the lowest priority things in my life. I get around to it when I want to.

Boy does this show how fake looking and fake in truth new movies are compared to actual sets and places. This video just rams down the throat and eyes how cheap the new films look, even though they cost more than ever to make. Now that's irony.
