I've gone with Tomato as the overnight is 4.7p per kwh between 00:00 and 06:00. There's a slightly more expensive period between 09:30 and 11:30 and 22:00 and 24:00 where it's 12p per kwh. Otherwise 22p/kwh.
@@AllElectricHouse Sorry, no I don't. Roof isn't suitable. I believe Tomato will install a solar/battery system if you sign up a contract for 10 years and pay £80 a month.
@sargfowler9603 yeah I already have the solar installed but wondering what export price they pay as to tempt me away from octopus it needs to be 15p/kWh or more
Home solar and / or battery and / or export does change things. Hard to beat IOG for anyone that regularly has to charge for over 7 hours (50kWh or more) and can shift some house use into the cheaper period.
@@ski_tron2446 I have a very modest 3.8k of panels and over the year have a net zero cost for electricity for the house and 6k miles of driving, I may be able to improve on that but it's hardly worth the effort. The only thing that may get me to change is if they reduce the export rate from the current 15p/kWh
There's an app trick you can do and get the cheaper rate for the entire day, regardless if your car is charging (must be connected). This only works if you've setup with charger integration, won't work with car API.
@@Tree0fL1fe with car api it’s still possible to trigger many extra hours at the low rate. It’s about timing when you plug in, the ready by time and how much charge you need. I’m told plugging in during the morning and setting a ready time of early next day will often trigger daytime hours at the low rate.

Thanks for sharing. Lower pricing than EON, EDF, BG and others.
Do you have any solar? I'm interested to know what export rates they have on offer.

It's getting a bit competitive but I'll be sticking with IO Go as it's a bit of a perlarve to change the export
