Love this song from day one. We got lots of rain this past month, but I live for that Canadian prairie sunrise any day of the year. An Albertan who loves this truth.
I'm not even a country fan but this is actually pretty good. It says on wiki it's just country but this has to be country-rock. The guitars are fairly heavy and rocky.
@LifesSoSweet Ahh, that makes more sense. Michael Rosen dropped by our Lindsay Twin Drive in, and spoke as though it was our drive in, reminiscing about being involved in making the video
Wesley May ... apparently they tour together but in the past decade they’ve each devoted time to solo interests. I think eventually they’ll come back together for another album, like The Mavericks do - Malo and others in that group over the past ten years have done amazing solo work but they’ve also come back together.
Prairie Oyster World tired, bone weary Can't stand another day of rain Go shout your troubles to the mountains But the mountains echo back, it's the same old shame Crying give me a sign, give me a sign However rough the road, however dark the skies Your frozen soul will melt like April ice When a shot of gold hits your eyes Canadian Sunrise Canadian Sunrise Fields smoking, dust choking When's it going to rain again You had big dreams, now they've all gone flat Blown away to nothing by the prairie wind Crying give me a sign, give me a sign However rough the road, however dark the skies Your frozen soul will melt like April ice When a shot of gold hits your eyes Canadian Sunrise Canadian Sunrise Between a rock and the raging sea Running 'til you're ragged and tossed Searching for something you think you'll never find Then you find out it was never lost Crying give me a sign, give me a sign However rough the road, however dark the skies Your frozen soul will melt like April ice When a shot of gold hits your eyes Canadian Sunrise Canadian Sunrise Source: LyricFind

This is my favorite song of all time.
Just saw Russell deCarle in Ancaster, Ontario. Still a great voice. July 7/19. Great concert.
I like the first few bars of Canadian Sunset played at the beginning
I remember watching Janice Zolf on A Channel interview the group about the making of this video at the "famous" Mustang drive in in London Ontario!
Happy Canada Day !!!
I worked on this video it was fun I was 16 at that time

This is 90s style country.
Most folk don’t like the 90s style. They call it “twangy”. Probably my favourite era for country music.
Thumbs up if the sight of Randy Bachman jumping makes you smile
I wish this song is on Spotify.
Thanks for posting this!
Mustang Drive In Port Hope, Ontario
Why is this song not on Spotify?? Trying to play it for my dads celebration of life . Where can I find it besides UA-cam??

Prairie Oyster
World tired, bone weary
Can't stand another day of rain
Go shout your troubles to the mountains
But the mountains echo back, it's the same old shame
Crying give me a sign, give me a sign
However rough the road, however dark the skies
Your frozen soul will melt like April ice
When a shot of gold hits your eyes
Canadian Sunrise
Canadian Sunrise
Fields smoking, dust choking
When's it going to rain again
You had big dreams, now they've all gone flat
Blown away to nothing by the prairie wind
Crying give me a sign, give me a sign
However rough the road, however dark the skies
Your frozen soul will melt like April ice
When a shot of gold hits your eyes
Canadian Sunrise
Canadian Sunrise
Between a rock and the raging sea
Running 'til you're ragged and tossed
Searching for something you think you'll never find
Then you find out it was never lost
Crying give me a sign, give me a sign
However rough the road, however dark the skies
Your frozen soul will melt like April ice
When a shot of gold hits your eyes

❤️❤️
who old guy playing intermesion is it Ronnie Hawkins
Randy Bachman from B.T.O. and Guess Who.
How fast does this thing go anyway
👍👍🍻
I'm so used to seeing the new Randy Bachman... all skinny and wearing pink shirts and stuff. This is kind of weird to see now.
Back in the day we used to jokingly refer to BTO as the Thousand Pound Wall of Denim.
@MrTrentIt was made popular by Andy Williams in 1956
Wasnt there a rock song that has the same beat as this ?
Yay guelph!
What ever happen to this band?
Please help
