This first episode doesn't do this show justice. After a few episodes this becomes highly addictive and bingeworthy.
Then the last seasons is trash
i disagree i think the first episode is amazing
I like that this show doesn’t demonize rich kids, but doesn’t ignore the flaws that can develop because you’re rich

I hate what they did to Chuck’s character in this episode. Literally a totally different person for the rest of the show. I get it that they were trying out a concept since it was just a 2000’s pilot, but my god, they did my man dirty
Yeah, the pilot him is very different, he even talks about his mom I think. They changed him really quick, I just don't really count pilot as cannon Chuck.
I like how you were rooting for Dan to push Chuck through the glass. 😂
Kristen Bell is both the narrator of the show and the voice of the anonymous blogger, Gossip Girl. She seems to be everywhere as an all-seeing entity because she gets her information from her followers/fans who see stuff and send her pics and tips of things. So she isn't seeing things happening directly. Other people are seeing it and giving her a heads up but us the viewers hear her comment on it. I hope that helps a bit. Can't wait to see your episode 2 reaction. Hopefully you at least give the first season a chance. More things begin to happen with time. And don't worry about not liking the rich kids (or richer kids since Dan and Jenny aren't exactly poor). The premise of the show is that these rich folks are unlikable and out of touch so they act a fool and Gossip Girl outs their bad behaviour to keep them in line. She balances the scales a bit by publicly shaming them pre-cancel culture. The characters you do like are the ones who have to deal with these people.
Don't worry you never see them on a bus ever again 🤣

Veronica mars is the voice of gg 😂😂love Kristen so much. Edit yeah she’s not gg she’s just the voice lol. She’s also the voice of GG in the new remake of the show. Which is a modern, more inclusive version and I love that one too.
The bus scene in retrospect was an error. Chuck dad is a billionaire, he definitely wouldn’t be taking the bus with regular people.
Maybe they were experimenting 😂 but yeah, definitely makes no sense
Did everybody just miss when they mentioned this is the only time they’re taking the bus and it’s I can’t remember the excuse for why he couldn’t take his window that day but he doesn’t mention that he normally takes the limo and he complains about having to take the bus and that’s why he doesn’t get that Dan’s getting off the same stuff as them because it’s the usual route for Dan but they don’t usually take it
Cant bealive it! YOU JUST MADE MY DAY! This is by far one of the best tv shows ever, trust me, you will LOVE IT! Give it a few eps and you will be hooked, each season better than the last! Best 2 characters by far CHUCK & BLAIR! PLEASE do more of GG! 😍
Until the very, very end we don't find out who Gossip Girl is. It is a blog and everyone gets updates and alerts, in school, at home, even in college and their jobs! Everyone who reads GG also sends in tons of pictures, videos, and bits of overheard conversations as 'tips', that's why it seems like she's omniscient.
Jenny (little sister) was actually the little girl Cindy Lou Who from The Grinch! She's now the singer in a band called The Pretty Wreckless. She's a bit different now haha

I didn't even remember this was a pilot program show on Patreon, must've been like 2 years ago or something judging by the video!
plenty of rich people in NY will take public transportation along with poor people, and other times will take cars. its kinda interesting there but this is especially true on subway trains.
and yes everything Gossip Girl says is being published on the blog. GG is around but also gets tips from different people sending it into the blog so that's how all the information comes about.

This show gets way better as it goes. The pilot episode you’re mostly just getting to know the characters so it kind of starts off slow. But if you keep watching you won’t be disappointed. It’s one of the best shows. Also Serena’s brother is in Revenge.

Dan & his family live in Brooklyn…the poor man’s Manhattan…but much much cooler…native brooklynite here…that is why Dan’s family is pretty comfortable, but not wealthy like his classmates.
This show made me want to visit New York 😂 and the bus thing…could it possibly be a New York thing? Like I’ve seen so many a- list Celeb photos using the subway lol. Can a new Yorker confirm this ?????
