I'm a simple man. I see a Mage Knight title, I click add to cart. One of the only games that I'm always hyped to revisit the rule videos for refreshers. I hope during production, the card/token color and sizes are standardized to be similar to Ultimate Edition.
Super excited for this! Mage Knight is a long time favorite of mine and I actually never imagined it would get another expansion this far into its life.
And actually the fan made campaign,The Betrayal,does it in a great way. Your score at the end of a mission is like currency. You can spend your score to buy crystals,a couple of cards,maybe a unit or even an artifact. Then you start the next mission with a few extra power ups so to speak. You'll never have enough points to get everything you want do you have to choose from mission to mission. If you keep a certain card or artifact you can even keep them at a reduced score cost. It gives you a great feeling of progress between missions. It's a fantastic way to play and even works with the Kahn expansion for Star Trek Frontiers. Now there's a game I would love to see a new expansion for.
Same with me - more artifacts, spells, advanced action cards, units, enemies would refresh the game across the board!! Hope the end up deciding expanding this part with this unique opportunity!
Perfect timing! I have had MK since 2015 but avoided it after trying to learn how to play due to the vast amount of rules. Last year I was thinking of selling my copy and decided to give it one more go. Somehow this time around It clicked. I had to download some PDFs to streamline the rules and watch some videos to refresh my memory, but I fell for the game and finally understood why Solo players rave about Mage Knight. I bought up all the expansions, upgraded the minis and purchased the new 5 cards so I am playing with the ultimate version in the original box (perhaps I should have just sold the original and bought the Ultimate version). I even 3D printed a box organizer for it all. SO ya this is a day one pre-order for me.
That is great news indeed! Now we only have to hope that Wizkids doesn't give us a product with warped tiles,misaligned tokens and/or mismatching card backs and tokens. :)

32:20 i disagree Paul. I think Lost Legions really took Mage Knight from at 9 to a 10. Every other expansion after that wasn't necessary, but I would never play base MK without LL.
That’s what they get for releasing an Ultimate edition! Now they will need Platinum edition and leave future gamers wondering which is more complete, Platinum or Ultimate? But oh it will be so worth it!!! Excited!
Great reveal. I've too many games, and haven't played beyond the base of MKUE (although it is definitely one of the best games), so wasn't planning on picking this up. However, it has certainly piqued my interest and whetted my appetite! So maybe. Sounds very interesting.

I still play Mage Knight every weekend. Its the only solo game I never get tired of. Hopefully this expansion adds a lot to the solo aspect.

The tezla rulebook has variant options that can be played with any scenario to kickstart your starting position and reduce game rounds
