10:26 ha ha ha......Sometimes the feedback is frustrating. I'm cursing at my launch monitor all the time 🙂 A colleague of mine bought a hack motion 4-6 weeks ago. I forget which "model" he bought, but so far he really likes it.
“F**k you too extended” haha 😂 I loved the HackMotion but this was an issue that I had also. Kept saying that I was too flexed but then when I looked at where it wanted my wrist it was basically a massive cup. I’d calibrated it a number of times but unfortunately always said the same
This is by far the best Hack Motion video I've seen, and I've probably watched every video with it in at this point haha Well done to you sir! I am this close to buying one, probably should just order it, and save the mental gymnastics.
Where’s Hans? 😂 If he went from a 12 to a 3 because of Hackmotion, I want to hear what he has to say! All kidding aside, solid review of the product. I can see Hackmotion for hip rotation coming soon!!
Haha i actually tried to get him on camera. He's super shy so no dice. Lol. Ya it'd be interesting to see what else they have coming out. Thanks for watching! Appreciate it.
WIth someone who has had previous wrist injury/pain from trying to play golf after many years I wonder if this would help monitor wrist angles etc and reduce injury longer term?
I think it should help. Alot of wrist injuries in golf stem from poor mechanics. So I think it's not a bad thing to be able to monitor proper wrist angles. I'm not a doctor tho. Haha. Hope it helps. 🍻
Hey newnine Just a couple question about this hack motion, first are you still using it, second there is a tag shot feature and I'm curious what version you need for this core, plus or pro version. Im so close to pulling the trigger on this device and would really like your advice on those questions. Thanks in advance.
Hey Zach, Ive used it a couple times as it's winter here and I actually haven't swung a club much besides sims and a couple sessions. I actually don't think I've used the tag a shot feature. Sorry. I would either DM them or ig or email them. Personally I like the plus feature cuz it has putting and you basic stats. I'm not a real technical guy so the pro version was too much data for me haha. But I can see if you are into alot of stats and data and want access to pga pros data, the pro version is right up your alley. Hope this helps somewhat.
@@NewNineGolf thanks alot for the quick reply really appreciate it 👍, I was thinking about the plus not that heavy into all that data jazz, just more about the positioning of my hands and the putting stuff seems intriguing. I have sent them a question on there website, just waiting on them for a reply. Also asked the same question on mygolfspy forum where they had testers on the device haven't heard anything there yet, that's why I drop in on your thread again. Time is ticking on this BF deal..... Thanks again and keep pumping out the content 😁.
No worries. Appreciate the support. Hope this reply soon here. Im pretty sure you can always just upgrade since it's the software. Hardware is the same.
Ya you can adjust the parameters or the range. This is a good read that might help understand it better. hackmotion.com/getting-perfect-golf-grip-video-by-coach-lockey/#:~:text=If%20you%20have%20a%20very,angle%20and%20the%20wrist%20angle.
I found it to be a great tool! To be honest I was working more on my short game than my long iron/tee ball near the end of the season so haven’t used it much since then.
This looks good but fails to address one significant issue; determining whether your wrist position is too cupped or too bowed is directly related to how strong or weak you grip the club at address, and this device seems to have no idea how it's being gripped. Thus, having these general wrist positions is helpful in some ways, but may still cause slices or hooks depending on how the club is being gripped (club path is obviously a concern too). Hopefully I'm wrong and the device addresses this, but it doesn't look like it.
So HackMotion has a full guide on the golf grip on their website. As I understand it, HackMotion sensor gives you targets based on what ever grip you are using - since not all (Tour) golfers used in their study use the same grip. This may answer your question in more detail. Hope it helps! 👊🏻 hackmotion.com/how-to-grip-golf-club/#How_to_Grip_a_Golf_Club_8211_Step-by-Step_Guide_to_Holding_a_Golf_Club
Not cupped. Most amateurs try to bow too early and too much and they take it way inside (because they're told you don't want to cup) then they cup or flip thru impact. The idea is to stay neutral and start bowing in the transition and through impact.
No it teaches you to increase or maintain that angle. They just don't want you to decrease that angle as you swing through. That's what it measures and tries to get you to improve upon. Here's a good video from them explaining it. ua-cam.com/video/n3TNF7TyQmc/v-deo.htmlsi=TDoQ84S2foYTFoH4 Hope this helps. 🍻
No kidding. I said exactly the same to my brand new hack motion today at the driving range. I'm just glad it was early morning so I was there on my own :) I found it so difficult to fix both the top and impact, and my extension figures were quite a bit worse than in this video. Glad I saw this video, so the frustration is normal.
That's exactly the point of the hack motion. It helps to check proper wrist hinge, it measures flexion and extension angles as well as ulnar and radial deviation to help find out whats "too much" or "too little"
“Fuck you ! too extended.” 😂😂😂😂😂
I like that your presentation is authentic, as opposed to other UA-camrs that have exaggerated fake personalities.
Appreciate u 👊🏻
Best part of the video 😂
You have the absolute best demonstration of this product. Bought one!

Finally. Another golfer with a sleeve. Ppl look at me funny on the courses.

Love your motorcycle drill 👏

Another great video bud. Well done 👍
Thanks John!
This is actually kinda awesome
Thank you for sharing, it’s been very helpful
I’m thinking of getting this later in the year to help in the off-season. Good review.

This seems more useful for mid/high handicapper’s with the possibility of bigger gains through improved ball striking.
Even scratch golfers can improve their ball striking. I think it’s great for all skill levels.
Did they fix the putting to make it easy to work with
I know they've updated the app a few times since the making of this video and it's been better. But tbh I haven't used the putting much.
I play with a strong grip, can you change the parameters to someone who has a strong grip at address using this gizmo?

Thanks! So it was good for 3/4 and 1/2 swings? Appreciate quick reply!
@andycarroll3 Yup it was great for those! That’s mostly what I was working on with my wedges and found immediate success.
Just wondering why so few reviews on Amazon, considering how long it's been on the market?
Can you make a video on how you grip the club?

This video would convince everyone NOT to buy this product
Interesting!
Is this subscription based?
No subscription needed. 👍
Ok...i just ordered one...
Let me know how you like it!
This is legit...at 1st I thought it was broken, but this has changed everything! Do you have a video on buying new golf shoes?
It looks like it wants you to cup at the top?? That seems counterintuitive. Am I seeing it correctly?
Not cupped. Most amateurs try to bow too early and too much and they take it way inside (because they're told you don't want to cup) then they cup or flip thru impact. The idea is to stay neutral and start bowing in the transition and through impact.
Thx. So what would the Hack Motion tell pros who are noticeably bowed at the top? Would it try to "fix" Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka?@@NewNineGolf

Practice weeks, months, dedication, practice. I don’t that much time left in my life. 😂
Too much wrist hinge can give you too much extension.

Expensive.
Cheat code indeed, mine arrived broken, and they don’t do refunds.
They should send you a new one no?
