Great work jesse and really enjoyed watching. Love that trick with the kapton tape , taping the sandwich together to stop it separating. Definitely going to be using that from now on. Great watch Jesse as always.
This reminds me of the good old days JC Tools have never worked right always have to wait for software updates to fix their stuff .. by the way you forgot to cover up the IMEI 1:05:11
It seems like a very difficult task. Your skills are amazing. I have a question. I'm using an 11 pro max 256g. If I installed the 11 pro max 512g NAND flash normally, would it be possible to complete the task with just the flash function of 3utools? Is there no need for a difficult task using v1s pro? thanks!!
I just bought JC V1S Pro. Thanks for inspiration in many ways :) I have alreay success with some iPhone 7 memory upgrade, and some X/Xs 64GB swap for training :D BGA 315 is challenge. I need to be sure in really safe nand desoldering process.
Hello bro I have the same problem in 14 pro max , so I have use cnc to get the 128gb off when I have put the 512gb nand from 14 pro max doner board but problem no take software I have change another nand same thing I have to format nand with v1spro or not ?
There is also possibility that you didn’t install the nand properly first time. Or the nand was corrupted. Will see in the future if it is as you said. Good job done 👍
Yes, I thought it was maybe bad install or bad NAND. But the fact the programmer read what it's bound to, that's what makes me believe it's just not compatible. I had this issue with the 12 series as well. I guess time will tell
@@VCCBoardRepairs I'm curious about this. I am most interested in whether the problem is directly in the NAND model or it is about which phone the NAND was formatted in first. I think that if formatting to a truly factory state worked, it would work. If it even possible by HW. There can be some restricted area for formatting.
Yeah V1S Pro definitely needs a few more updates. You can’t format NANDS AT ALL when connected to online mode via PC software. You can’t connect a device for READ PHONE feature either in JCRepair software (with dongle cable connected to the side of V1S Pro). BTW love the video ❤.
I wonder is upgrading a phone to more than possible could be a thing Or Maybe taking a NAND from a chinese variant phone, eg Redmi Note 12 Turbo , and puting it inside a global variant phone eg Poco F5 This way you get maxed out storage and best connectivity
usually it only takes about 1hr. and sometimes, people buy phones with lower storage & don't realize it's not enough space. so some would prefer to just upgrade the storage than trying to sell their existing phone then deal with buying another one with bigger storage, which can possibly have other problems or non-original parts, etc. there are some scenarios where an upgrade makes sense, which I discuss in the video as well

for upgrading storage or replacing Nand on 14 serries are no need to reard and write datas on it/ is it directly replace nand?
@JC: time: 49:20, on maiboard second pad (counting from left) is BLACK, that was a problem
There's no pad there. Check ZXW 😅

Glad you enjoyed it
Hi sir please give the buying link for the gloves you using
Hello friend, how does the memory IC work without transferring the old IC information?
SYSCFG data is in CPU now since the iPhone 12. So no need to program anymore
@@VCCBoardRepairs Thank you very much for the valuable information and the most wonderful work
Is it possible to use the i2c p14 pro programmer instead of the jc v1s pro with bga 315 module
Yes. But you don't need a programmer at all for this job. Just replace it
Programmer is only to read capacity right now
This reminds me of the good old days JC Tools have never worked right always have to wait for software updates to fix their stuff .. by the way you forgot to cover up the IMEI 1:05:11
Thanks for letting everyone know 😅
@VCC Board Repairs - Jesse Cruz You're welcome jesse have a good one 👍
Wow man thank you, we need more videos like that, specially for 1 TB because it is bigger
Appreciate it! Thank you so much
Hi! Thanks you for your share. I’d like to know how can you enter the DFU mode? My 3utools not connect to my iphone.
Use power and vol down key
You put 256GB Hynix replacing the 128GB Kioxia/Toshiba NAND, but 1:05:14 says it's 256GB Toshiba?
Did you watch the full video?
@@VCCBoardRepairs To be honest, I was skipping a lot :D
Then you missed the part where I explained why I used a different NAND 😅
@@VCCBoardRepairs Well I'm gonna watch it again :D
Is this device better than the P14?
I think so. I had a few NAND not work with i2C P14 that worked on JC V1S Pro

No you need to program it
I try to iphone13, is this also success? With 3u tools. If you have a experience. Please share ^^ thanks
Hey Jesse just out of interest does the international version pick up 5g in the US?
Yes it does

Great to hear!
my iphone 12 pro max ios 17.4 shows ay a108 tool phone tab but shows not connected when i hit read in repair tab ...any ideas
Disconnect and reconnect phone
I have a question. What if I buy a higher capacity NAND and try to use it after programming the chip? Will it work?
for 12 and newer, it has to be a NAND specifically for the model you're working. Cant' really mix and match
Which fume extractor do you use?
DIY setup. I have it linked on my site
Www.vccboardrepairs.com/gear
I see 8 parts on your website for fume extracting. Do you need all 8 parts for it to work?
can the donor board be iCloud locked ?
Yes
Does wifi work after this ?
Yes

It should work. Otherwise you have damaged nand or bad install
Helloo Brother,is it only iPhone 14 series not must to program??
12 and newer does not need programmer
Thanks brother stay blessed
These resistors are clone resistors bcz 1 tb nand is much bigger in size so if you want to put 1 tb nand you can remove these resistors
Ok great

I haven't needed to use it much, but good to know all the limitation you mentioned!
Why the hell did they even release an unfinished product ? This is so not cool to pay full price for your tool and get half assed features
@@ceejay_gaming9636 Being a device that connects via Wifi I’m sure new updates will be pushed out constantly.
Many thanks for you ❤️

Nice one🎉

Thank you boss
How many will spend time to perform this teardown? better buy 256gb iphone than taking this risk

The phone support up to 1 TB, with all hard work to do, i will go for 1 TB instead
Find me a 1TB NAND at a good price 😅
I wanted to do.
Thank bro
