This was enormous fun! Such a clever adaptation, witty script, great actors & wonderful use of the Bernard Herrmann music. Thanks so much for uploading, it was a real treat! 🎉
This was very good - hugely engaging and entertaining and the plot races as a pace that Buchan would have approved of! The use of Bernard Hermann's music was particularly effective. Recommended for a cosy afternoon entertainment
I agree, it’s great fun. Clever amusing plot, well acted, voices are well cast. It deserves to be better known by the thousands if not millions of people who have seen The 39 Steps films in particular the Hitchcock version. The play also works as a commentary on the place of The 39 Steps in popular culture and literature!
Seems just like yesterday that I heard it one Saturday afternoon... You might also like a play called 'Radio Daze', from 2004. It's not as light and humorous as this one but it plays a sort of Hitchcockian game the way this one does...

Why the music at the beginning? Unnecessary & spoils the production

According to the credits, the music is from the Hitchcock films Vertigo and North by Northwest
