Blake's multi-Blake vids are just awesome, regardless of actual point of them. But this time I can't admire enough work of whoever was editing that stuff - top marks for all of you, in front of and behind the camera!

I went back from full sus to hardtail and I enjoy it a lot. Sometimes it’s not the question which bike is more comfortable but which bike is more fun. On most trails around my area you just go down as fast as you can on a full sus while it’s more challenging on a hardtail and therefore more fun.
@@1978jabbo in my opinion it is a fantastic bike capable o almost everything. Its ecxallent for technical trails or easy to medium downhilltracks. Its definitely not as smooth and comfortable as a fullsus but for me its way more fun to ride. I love to ride things on a hardtail that everyone else just uses fullsus.
That's really cool that you went back to a hardtail for more of a challenge! Full suspension bikes can be a little boring sometimes when you love the feeling of wrestling a bike down a trail.
I ride both. I have a very nice full sus and hard tail. Both are set up for trail riding. I ride both of them every week. I love both and I love the differences. The hardtail makes me feel very connected to the trail and allows me to work that part of my riding. Full sus is for the rougher trails. I love how well a modern full sus climbs the technical stuff. I love challenging climbs and I do them on both bikes, but a modern full sus climbs amazing. Also having two bikes for me is essential. I ride a lot and want to always have a back up bike. Also the hardtail is a great workout bike.
@@Hello_there_obi a modern full sis tracks the ground and has more traction. I can climb trails on my 32 lb trail bike I could never climb on my 27lb hard tail. I ride a lot of single diamond trails in Northern California and the climbing parts are rock gardens. Full sus is superior. I climb well on both bikes because I weigh 180lbs and slim and strong. But in the chunky climbs full sus is superior.
You learn how to ride a mountain bike properly on a hardtail. You will be a faster rider on a full suspension if you start off on a hardtail. Also hardtails are so much fun. Even better when you take one to a downhill track and keep up or over take the big rigs!!
Great vid! First bike I would go with a good hardtail bike. Later, when you are good at finding lines and you are starting to ride bike parks and rock gardens, then get a second bike with full suspension. If you ride all the time, your body will appreciate the full suspension. Then you will have two bikes, which is important because you always want a spare bike so that you never miss a day of riding.
I’ve ridden a HT most of my life but I’ll be going full suspension on the next one. Back isn’t always happy on the HT and I’d prefer not to have back surgery earlier I’m life.
Awesome video. Full suspension is probably the way to go these days but expense, weight and my age of 50 now really makes me question this. This video really sums it up nicely and is very well done. I'm not 20 30 or even 40 anymore and unfortunately should not be going balls out anymore.
Heck and even going balls out in your 20s, 30s or 40s is not a good idea either. Beating up your body in your youth makes old age life even hard than it has to be.
Nah. What are you saving yourself for? I'm 50 and ride just as dumb as I did when I when I was 15. Keep doing it for as long as you can pedal, then get an Ebike and keep doing it!@@iwontreplybacklol7481
I have both 160 travel carbon fibre fs and a 140 slack steel hardtail. Love them both. Legs get tired quicker on ht as they are working as suspension. Also, less maintenance with the hardtail! 🤙
I have both full sus and hardtail, love them both and use them on different occasions and having the peace of mind of having a back up in any case necessary is nice to me! You legit can’t go wrong with either.

I prefer hardtail for street and park. I love my full squish for XC and DH. My competition trials bicycle is fully ridged. My trials motorcycle suspension is basically beefed up DH suspension and those skills transfer over to the DH bikes.
My first time to watch this channel, I spend more time to figure out if they are the same person or two different persons than on the bike. If they are the same person, it's a truly amazing camera work.
A great video guys! I love when Blake talks to him self. The Spanish Blake is also hilarious 😂. But most of all I like that Blake is always incapable to decide which is better
@@humanspider958 the power transfer from your legs to the wheel has no suspension soaking up your watts, the lack of suspension keeps the geo of the bike stable, simple to maintain, lighter. Lighter, easier to maneuver and fast. I have the ProCal with the isospeed decoupler which prevents the back-end from getting loose on fast, rocky descents.
Blake is entertaining. And this really shows the strengths and weaknesses of both. So it depends what qualities you value. Myself, I quite like have an excuse for going a bit slower downhill!
Hard tail and ridged forks. Every sus fork I've ridden or owned was frozen on one side and felt super dangerous. Every soft tail wobbles and rattles. The effort to peddle a full sus is also higher, due to gravitational forces. Bikes to me are like knives. A swiss folding style looks kinda neat, but will never compete to the full one piece blade. More moving parts, more chance of failures.
I just started watching you guys but I just love already your videos, for me, both are good but I think hardtail is all I need for my preferences, I have an afisport m2 29 inch tires, on white version, it's an Romanian brand
Most riders hate uphills anyway. They'd rather make them even less enjoyable and have more fun on the downhills.
