      Thanks. The ones you are seeing are from Aztec. Horrible pricing right now unfortunately. Alabama is totally fine just shop carefully, looks for good ratings, and plan way in advance. For bulk.... it's great but wow it can take a while several months sometimes

    Yo Wade what’s up big guy? Hope you’re continuing to live your best life 🤟🏾. Hey I have a question for you. U recommend the thermal shipping label maker and I happened to have already purchased a similar one. They’re not “use ready” out the box and require a program or app to run. Is there a particular software that you recommend or use to run the label maker?

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  Рік тому +1

      Hey! Thanks! Not really sure what you mean. It should connect like any printer and you just print your labels to that printer. I'm not really aware of any thermal label printers that require an app.

    Thank you for these great suggestions! So, I have a question for you if you've tried them - I love the look of the teal pouring pitcher, but the last pouring pitcher I bought from a larger, more boujee candle making supply store, the pitcher started to chip the coating after a few months. I'd think it was just me, but it happened to someone I gifted one to - has this been anyone's experience? Also, one suggestion I always make as a nurse candlemaker is trauma shears for wick trimming on cotton wicks. I've never had a cleaner cut! Happy making and thanks for the video!

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  Рік тому

      Great advice on the trimmers. As far as the chipping. I've never had that happen personally but I could definitely see it being possible

    Hi wade what is the difference between your premier wick and the Cd wick also the Eco wicks?

    • @BlackTieBarn
      @BlackTieBarn  Рік тому

      They all have the place for sure. But biggest difference are:
      Cd and eco both have paper threads woven in and a different type of cotton braiding. Premier is cotton core through and through. No paper. They don't lean near as bad as htp and cd do if wicked properly. But depends a lot on wax too. Softer waxes cause more leaning then others.
      Premiers have a small bend curl to help with efficient burning but not so much the fall over like htp or cd often does.
      But by far the best part for me is the incremental sizing. It's nearly impossible NOT to find the right size whereas others it feels like a big jump between sizes.
      And premiers are manufactured in u.s. in new jersey specifically if your curious.
      Hope that helps

    A few years ago a friend showed me how she makes her soy candles and then suggested a kit. I fell in love and then she gave me the resources she used. I am now getting brave and trying different waxes. Started with 444 frosting is making me nuts so a few months ago switched to 464 because supposedly less wet spots and frosting but I didn’t find that so got a small batch of coconut soy, not sure I like it so in a few days I will be venturing into your territory of 6006 - I love colors so looking forward to testing that wax. ❤
