    @martincongahead, Ive had this piece stuck in my head for about the last week or so. Actually a couple days I was at my day job and the only thing I was really looking forward to was this version of this piece. Just wanted to send my thanks to you for that. What a great space and recording. You sir, are the man.

    Great performance, great acoustic around the walls in the room, where was this music recorded ? i think its a house room with the acoustic upgrade specification or is it a home studio recording room ? :)

    A lot of good drummers show off by having 10+ piece kits. I love how Mark is a minimalist in that respect and lets his hands/feet do the talking instead.

    That's Wurlitzer not Rhodes. It's probably model 206A without speaker cabinet or beige-tan version of 208A.

    Can anyone tell me what hats Mark is using? Also what sticks he's playing with?

  • @tombo1086
    @tombo1086 13 років тому

    @Easleytee I would agree with you that Mark and Ari play in a somewhat similar manner, but Bob's concept and Mark's are entirely different, and it seems like a stretch to compare the two. In my opinion, Mark is much more angular and concise, where as Bob is more flowing. Granted, my exposure to Bob is somewhat limited. If you know of any recordings/videos of Bob playing more like Mark is in this video, I'd actually really like to hear them. Post the links if you wouldn't mind.

      it's a 4/4 with weird syncopations and accents on the count of 3 in the second bar, that's what makes it sound differently
