Thanks also to @J.Roach-Evans for informing me on the proper ID tag on the shell at 3:59. This shell is an "Atlantic Razor Clam", not a "Purplish Tagelus".
Plum Island is definitely on my bucket list!!. Those moons snails are so beautiful. I watch Jamie hunting it weekly😉. Looks like a beautiful place to visit🥰. Amazing video as always.
nice to see Plum Island get a nice treatment! it is a great shelling spot. Some ID corrections the colorful clam at 4:00 (and again around 7:10) is Siliqua costata (ribbed pod) and not purplish tagelus (i.e. not Tagelus divsus). the Astarte at 8:48 is a chestnut astarte (castanea), not waved astarte (i.e. not undata). You mentioned soft shell clam in your video, but soft shell clams are very rare on the ocean beach at Plum island. I'm not sure but I think the shell you are calling soft shell clam is the arctic wedge clam (Mesodesma arctatum), a very iconic shell found in large numbers on the north end of Plum Island, two of these are clearly visible at 2:35 (one has a big drill hole in it).
WOW! What a beautiful place for sea-shelling! I can’t believe that there could be so many seashells in MA!!! Thank you for showing us around. Now I am looking forward to make it a special trip to visit this place on our next trip to New England.
Hey! I didn't delete that comment. Perhaps YT screened it? I can only speak for myself, but I focus on quality of content vs. a focus on quantity. Plan your episodes in advance. Love what you do, and have fun!
@@solaceinshelling6552 oh ok, then that’s really weird. When I commented it I saw it went through and then when I came back the next day it’s just gone so I thought it got deleted because I didn’t know it could glitch out like that. Anyway, thanks!

Had to quit. Your filming is awful. Sorry but I’d really like to watch but it literally is giving me a headache. You usually do so much better😢
Thanks for the feedback friend. Some of these clips were from a few years ago before I had a gimbal. Thanks for watching!
