    Never in my life have I ever thought I'd say I'd own any V6 model (besides a Buick GNX, T-type or Grand National) but I'm crazy about these 2011 and up 3.7 liter V6 models. They are just badass!!! They even sound amazing and that's so hard out of a V6 lol.

      They are amazing Ford had it right with this engine, so light and powerful and sound as good as the V8 with the right exhaust set up, i know as i've driven both.

    i just bought the 2017 v6 Ford 3.7 mustang in Ruby red...I as well was laughed at because it was known as the little engine that could...well I'm tuning up the engine an taking some necessary steps to turn this red little devil into the engine that did... honestly I'm just happy to be apart of the Ford family, this specific year and style of mustang won me over, as for my color combo was the complete icing on the cake. This video just motivated me to keep at it...thanks for the much needed upload.

      I almost bought a new 18 just to get that Ruby Red🤤 I think that’s the best color code ford has “created” in a long time. I’m currently in a J7 magnetic metal and have been thinking about wrapping it some crazy color.

    Amazing car and sound! Damn right about 30 mpg! That's what I love about the 3.7. Hauls ass and doesn't burn too much gas!

      Kris Lenning then I must be driving mine wrong, only 16mpg whoops. (I rarely do highway, that's why). The ecoboost and GT both require premium while this is regular. I typically fill my tank for around $30 which is great!

    • @saif03paul
      @saif03paul 5 років тому +2

      Lightning premium gas gives the v6 a little bit more horsepower, which is also a nice option to have.

      @@saif03paul Thank you i hate it when folks don't know diddly about the 3.7 V6 i had a 2014 Mustang CVS 3.7 prem/pony/PP and it required the use of premium only as i only ran 93 octane+ along with RP high octane booster so it raised it 3 digits =somewhere between 103/5 octane level A/F ratio ranged between 13.9-14.7 depending on the season and humidity as i live in SC at sea level, car ran the hardest and best during the winter months and i regret getting rid of the car and miss it something awful, i now drive a 2019.5 Mustang GT 5.0 6 sp. prem/PP1 shadow blk/blk with blk painted roof nice strong V8 but still something about that 3.7 that was equally as fast as this car

      @@TheLightningSt0rm What are you talking about Premium 3.7 V6 's along with the 3.7 PP required the use of premium unleaded i ran my 2014 Mustang CVS 3.7 prem/PP on 93+ octane pump gas along with RP+12=103/5 octane rating car flew like it was supercharged on a daily basis. I now drive a 2019.5 Mustang GT 5.0 6 sp. prem/PP1 and to me that 3.7 was equally fast as this GT.

    • @TheLightningSt0rm
      @TheLightningSt0rm 4 роки тому

      Myke Johnson The 2017 V6 I had ran on 87, as ford called for. Which the S550 V6 was base model only and came with no options. Hell, even the 15-17 GT’s call for 87 but just suggest 93. I now have a 2017 GT and I’m tuned for 93 so I can’t go back. However, the 3.7 is dog shit slow even FBO it’s only 300whp. My 5.0 felt worlds faster (stock!) than any cyclone. If your 5.0 feels similar speed to an NA V6 you are not flooring there car.

    Best sounding 3.7 ever. Damn it's nice. I picked my 2015 up for only 18k, with 21k miles. I have long tube dreams. Already have Outlaw axle backs, nice tone. But my plan is BBK long tubes, x pipe, dual Magnapacks resonators then the axle back. Love how refined it sounds with the resonators but I know the long tubes will sound violent at cold start can't wait!!!!

    Great presentation on the 3.7 S550. This honest review is timeless and can imagine that it will inspire future transactions of the 3.7 S550 for years to come of this three model year offering. They are a great deal now but I can see even more so 5 years from now. These maybe the best deal on the market for those with limited funds for a first car.

    I also have a bad ass v6. It has no badges. Everyone has thought it's a v8 because of the sound and look. Never had anyone riding with me say it's slow or sounds bad. The key is just don't tell em it's a v6 until they drool over it first. Then tell them and watch their face lol. Ps the new camera rs sounds awesome at high revs too worth the stock active exhaust

  • @system87music

    Super nice ride!!! For all the people that hate on 4 cylinder and V6 Mustangs...just chill out and move on! It always cracks me up that someone is so insecure about "insert whatever" that they feel the need to look down on non-V8 Mustangs. Those same people will never question a flat 6 911 or twin turbo 6 cylinder BMW or Audi...it's just dumb and screams "yesterday" or old man mindset. I've owned all kinds of cars (Mustangs to Miatas to 240Zs to...you get the idea). Just enjoy the drive and have fun...head out to the track, drag strip, AX, TT or whatever. And for the haters, move on! Again, that's one sweet ride!!!

    Your car sounds really good. Not good for a v6, just all by itself, no qualifiers, just damn... it sounds good. I drive a 2015 GT with a Stainless Works H-pipe cat-back, Roush intake, BBK throttle body, Lund Tune, all the BMR rear suspension stuff, I just put a Pedders coilover kit on it, and a bunch of other little things I can't recall just now. I'm only mentioning my car here to give you some perspective on my point of view, I'm a V8 guy. I've got to say you've done good here with your ride. Much respect for your Cyclone. Anyone who talks smack about your ride is jealous. Now after watching this video I want one. (I had a 3.8 and I liked that car too, of course it wasn't in the same league as the 3.7)

    I have a 2015 V6 and love it. I've done a few mods on it and it's surprisingly faster than people think. When I would race V8 cars and win they wouldn't believe I have a V6. So I ended up buying the 3.7 emblems to put on my fenders to let everyone know. Nothing funnier than the looks on the faces of the V8 guys after I outrun them.

    I've been in the market for a 6cyl. Don't want the 4 because if my assumption is correct, the engine is high-strung and near it's limit. Plus I want SOME natural low end grunt. These pony cars look like a pretty good GT platform to build upon.

Brent said it best in the video... Father of 3, married, had 5.0 mustangs... he always wanted a fast V6... Why exactly this channel started. I wanted to make an underdog car like the 3.7 as fast as i could without addind forced induction. Some people like the car for what it is .. don't be afraid to represent that.

It's all outside Roush without the mods on the engine. Sure I would like to do a few things to the engine....im a tinkerer....but I am fully satisfied with the pickup and speed of the car. yes the 3.7 v6 is fast the only thing i don't like about that engine is the internal water pump the only way to know its bad is when you get water in the oil not to mention the cost to fix it around $3000 at a shop. thats why i sold mine at 80.000 miles

    • @SexyFord

      The 3.7 in the mustang has the external water pump not the internal one. The 3.5 and 3.7 have the internal pump in different Lincoln and Ford models but not the mustang. Hope you didn’t sell your mustang solely for this reason because that isn’t true …

    I think it's interesting that the best sounding exhaust I've heard for this car on UA-cam is mostly made up of "cheap" "knockoff" exhaust parts. All these people spending stupid amounts of money for name brand doing it wrong...

    How hard is it to put short headers on yourself. Do you have to be under the car to do it or can it be done from up top?
