Thank you for sharing, this was fantastic as usual! I particularly loved that '52 Tele, the goldtop LP, and the TV Jnr. Excited for part two! Cheers from Canada.
I watched as much of the video as I could at lunch, I’m going to watch it again after work. I have no vintage guitars but I do have several custom shop guitars and by far my favorite is my 62 Tele reissue. I hope to someday get a chance to play a black guard. Great video guys thank you!
Great video guys.. and what a wonderful collection of guitars. That red strat..WoW ! On another note, i love all the banter and innuendos...keep it coming! I was brought up on a diet of Carry on films and 70's tv :-) look forward to part two.
Really cool video Btw Strats got the 3 bolts neck from ‘72 Mustang competition colours started in 67 : candy apple red / cream strips - burgundy blue ( crazy name ) / light blue stripes ( the one in your video) Yellow with orange stripes And a rarer white with black stripes
That blonde esquire with rosewood board is one of the most gorgeous guitars ever built imo! There is real genius in the simplicity of that axe. Please keep these videos coming. They are my favourite playlist of the Guitar Show. Cheers
Nice Fender Stratocasters Roman your Sarat is the Same Colour As Gary Moore's 1961 Fender Stratocaster. I own a 2019 Mexican made Fender Stratocaster in Kingfisher colour I bought in a small Guitar Shop Called A Strings in pontypridd in the South Wales. Valleys.
15:30 bullet truss rod on that olympic white strat, plus three bolt neck. Probably a ‘71 - ‘74 (assuming staggered pole piece pickups) ‘69 and ‘70 would have four bolt neck and no bullet truss rod. Great vid tho and even greater guitars 🤘
I have a couple player grade 65's....one Lseries and one a bit bigger headstock and a 72 Love them but wanted to say I just picked up a CS 56 re-ish 6 lbs 12oz hard tail super faded shell pink and have to tell you it's really really nice Very happy with it
Slaboard….Brazilian rosewood…on a faded almost salmon pink…fiesta red pre cbs Stratocaster ….doesn’t get much better than that….the 64.L series..veneer board also wow…those 2 strats…strat bliss!!….butterscotch tele…esquire…fender heaven🎸🤙🏻
I only need to hear Ramon play heavy metal to believe he can adeptly and masterfully play literally ANY style. 17:37 watch this and tell me he isn’t the best guitarist on UA-cam. Possibly in all of Britain? Watch Bob light up with joy watching the master at work.
As usual a great show. About Nick Huber, he is in Rodgau Germany and I believe he had Paul Reed Smith as a mentor (kind of). Looking forward to part 2 (and more)
Interesting, that might explain why I’m not mad about them. Exquisite but rather soulless to me. I’d take a Junior over an Orca any time but each to their own 👍
I thought that Ritchie Valens just borrowed Buddy Hollies Strat. I dont think he owned one. Ritchie only owned a stratotone I believe. I’m pretty sure but I could be wrong. I know Johnny Winter mostly used the neck pickup through music man amps with the treble on 10 & bass on Zero.
Nice vid guys. Should call “uncasing” when I see unboxing I think coming out of a shipping brown box. Maybe a Brit vs US thing? I saw a lot of brown Gibson cases up there. I surely like the fenders but the gibsons are where it’s at for me. There’s gotta be a few semi hollows in there
Always regretted changing my '52 re-issue wiring from the original. Never the same guitar afterwards. Even lost that reverb "click" from the amp when switching pick-ups like you hear on Buchanan's solos (the warning before gettin your ears scorched). My advice, leave alone, it was done for a purpose. Steve Howe routed out his original 52 to accommodate a humbucker, regretted it like hell of course (without fully admitting it).
@@iannicholls7476 With his cash Keith R can do what he like, but then Keith R is not, or ever will be a guitarist's guitarist like Buchanan, as you should know and even Keith would admit. I stand by by belief. Leave the lipstick pick alone, don't meddle with Leo's perfection. Anyway, get Thinline Tele if you want a humbucker, awsome guitars in their own right.
Glad the chappers and the captain nonsense was dispensed with soon after starting and the 2 knowledgeable guitar geeks settled into their encyclopaedic ways
Is it just me or are there like 20 different shades of fiesta red ? Did fender never lock down the exact colour or is it just one of the unstable pigments that change drastically with age ?
@@Ironworthstriking yeah this one has, which is common but there’s also a bunch of different shades altogether listed as fiesta red. Actually found a cool forum explaining why. planetbotch.blogspot.com/2014/08/fender-colour-mysteries-fiesta-red-and.html
The mustang bass was made because bill wyman needed short scale. Also, the guy on the right needs to talk less, and stop interrupting the guy who actually knows stuff. Great show. Guitar history is fascinating

Hanging out with Bob and Ramon discussing/playing iconic guitars. What's not to like? :)

The fact that they’re not my guitars!!!
Great vid, the only problem with your vintage guitar vids is they aren’t long enough! Can’t wait for part 2. Cheers guys. 👍🏻❤️

Thanks. I must admit to knowing less about ‘later” guitars. It was my least favourite on the day, quite a round and very glossy poly neck.
Just saw these guys for the first time. Love the guitar choices and the banter,. had to subscribe !
Many thanks indeed Jeff
That was great more please 🤞🏻👍👍
Part two very soon…
Both are amazing players. Although they introduced a bunch of very fine guitars, but still the sound is all in the fingers.

Little bit of Tuck Andress moves going on there Ramon Good stuff 👍

The big Topper😎🤣
Surprised you think the 63-64 strats have small necks, they are some of the biggest necks in my mind for 60's strats.
You had my attention at nice gear.

So boys Hendrix played rosewood predominately till 68 and then switched to maple and the larger headstock
Thanks David
