Crazy how this happened right around the corner from me here in Philly. This happened right near an Elementary school that's connected to a graveyard. These guys are getting bold and everyone needs to be ready at any time.
I grew up in West Oak Lane... And went to that Elementary School. (Rowen) 30 years ago... And the Middle School Down The Street (Wagner) and MLK High School. I lived directly across the street from the Cemetery and Elementary School. My Stomping Grounds! I'm so glad I've been a Texan for 15 years... I would hate living in a city like Philly where they make it almost impossible to defend yourself.
I live in the area too and I almost got targeted twice on my own block. Lucky for me I have situational awareness and I was able to outsmart the lowlifes and escape.
Situational awareness is key. I was a teenager at the time and found myself in a “bad part of town”. Yes, it was probably uncommon to see a white kid in that area early on Saturday morning. I’m walking up a sidewalk going one way, and a man was walking the other way on the other side of the street. I guess he thought I’d be an easy target. As we drew closer, he began to cross the street directly towards me. I saw that. My situational awareness allowed me to reach my hand to my right hip and under my totally cool flannel over shirt. His situational awareness allowed him to realize there was a gun show at the event center I was walking towards. He went back to his sidewalk. I stayed on mine and nothing else happened. I was 17, unarmed, and just going to work a booth for my friend’s Dad’s gun shop. But, we were both aware of the possibilities in that situation.
When I first got my conceal carry, I would spend over an hour a day just standing in front of my TV practicing my draw. I reached a point at the range, that from a hands up position, I could draw and fire a shot on target in just under a second. That's not my average, but I did it lol
I appreciate you showing these types of news videos. I feel that if the public actually were to see these it might make a difference for our rights. Keep up the good work.
“If guns are outlawed than only outlaws will have guns”. A saying that was prevalent back in the 70’s but I never hear it these days. We need to bring it back.

Edit: I don't believe we should have to have a license to carry. The federal government should recognize Constitutional carry in all 50 states. However, as we know this won't happen because Democrats will never vote yes for a Bill to this affect, the compromise would be a federal reciprocation Bill. Which I believe would be best handled similar to a CDL. Issued by the state, recognized by all states due to federal regulation.

Guess what our governor is trying to legalize, and what he just signed bills to ban?
If the government disarms the decent people, crime will escalate. Then the government will call in the UN to quell the anarchy. It's part of the plan.
@@Bearded923 Tucker was ok with being controlled opposition until recently and I love him way more now.

Thanks for reporting the other side of the situation. We need more people be aware of why it is important to keep our second amendment alive.

More guns equal SAFER STREETS!
1980: 160 million guns, 23,000 homicides.
2020: 400 million guns, 21,000 homicides.
Do the math, people!👍🏻🇺🇸
56 million lives were taken by tyrannical gun grabbing governments in the last century. Turkey Soviet Union China Germany Cambodia Guatemala Uganda.
would love to see the numbers of these committed by the person that legally owned the gun minus the "justified" deaths.... Bet it is small.
Do not forget the substantial increase in population of the US in that 40 years.

225 million vs. 330 million.
Homicide rate per 100,000 in 1980 was 10.2, & the rate was 6.5 in 2020- keep in mind, that 6.5 figure does account for the 'summer of love'...🙄 During the 2000's & 2010's, the rate hovered right around 5.0 per 100,000.
The one thing I learned in statistics at Purdue was never argue using stats. They can be twisted to fit one's agenda.
What can't be argued is fact. In most self defense situations, one needs a firearm or skills to defend oneself NOW. In those same situations, LE will be minutes away.
Colion! A security guard for Walgreens San Francisco acted in self defense and is not charged! This is a huge win for us!
I live in Philly. There are several situations just like this that have played out recently
Thats why we have to always stay strapped and ready if anyone tries us. I dont live up norf but south. Still protect myself and aware of my surroundings all the time
In war, nobody blames the weapon.
Bravo, good citizen.
True Hero. how many people’s lives would have been affected by the criminal continuing his life of chaos. And reaping violence on multiple victims. Amen to the armed citizen!!
Crazy how this happened right around the corner from me here in Philly. This happened right near an Elementary school that's connected to a graveyard. These guys are getting bold and everyone needs to be ready at any time.
I totally agree with you. These criminals know they won't see hard time in prison so they keep pushing their aggressiveness.
It’s a free for all in Philly. Do whatever you want there will be no punishment. The law abiding citizens will be punished.
Everyone needs to buy “Deep Sentinel”.
Stay steady and keep training!👍🏿
You should also train to get into a stance simultaneously while drawing, and also train to have simultaneously effective marksmanship and locomotion.
Well said Colin! And there lies the problem with our “so called fearless leaders”
Never heard of a politician being called a fearless leader.
SAFELY practice your draw. Dry practice. A negligent discharge before heading out can ruin your day.👍🏻
Snap caps.
Especially if it results in an accidental sex change
The overlooked part of gun safety is to learn to safely reholster your weapon.
In CA it's county by county which is even more ridiculous to say you can carry in the OC but not in LA.
Good people, GET ARMED and get trained!
Were there mass shootings back then?
I’m so grateful that I live in a 2A-friendly state. However, it’s not guaranteed that my state will always allow me to defend myself and my family in the future. VOTING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY THAT YOU HAVE. Do not waste it!!!!
Edit:
I don't believe we should have to have a license to carry.
As a commercial license holder, I completely disagree with your position....
@@yeahthatreallyhappened Very convincing! All the solid points you have made convinced me to reconsider my entire position on this topic.

Kudos for talking about situational awareness. It is perhaps the most important aspect of personal protection. If you are aware of a problem, you may be able to avoid a confrontation.
And once again, it didn't make the national Nooze.
Love it. This is the American way. Justice is served
That's the way it should go...we the people have the right to defend ourselves
Compliance doesn’t always guarantee you won’t be killed, it blows my mind the amount of people that think you should just comply with being robbed and you won’t be hurt
Yes! Practicing your draw is crucial. That first shot is the most critical. Great comments on situational awareness. Used to stress that above all else to my students.
I work armed security and when we requal we always draw from the holster and the number of people who fumble out the holster is ridiculous. They’re good shots but they spend way to long trying to draw
@07:00 yes sir! Your neighbors watch you, in houses or an apt complex. In apt complex's ppl squat in vacant apts. These ppl watch your schedule, they even smile in your face while noticing what you drive, what you wear, & if you live alone or not. Stop telling ppl how much money you make, what side you carry, or if you keep one chambered or not. The more you tell the better prepared they'll be to ambush you.
When citizens are self reliant, it limits the governments usefulness.
Too right you are!
Kimberly, usefulness in what way? You do know that the government (including the police) have no duty to protect the public, right? So having the public be self reliant is a good thing - for the public.
Exactly while the (“liberal”) government politicians want to take away all guns!
@@SargeUSMC I believe that was Kim's whole point.
Hence why government wants to tax everybody off the land

I rejoice every time I hear a story like this.
Anyone who can legally carry a gun in Philly and doesn't....is CRAZY...Its only costs $21 for your LTCF!
The funny part is that a lot of people who legally can carry still choose to carry illegally for some reason.
@@ryank29 So, in Philly your RIGHT to bear arms costs “only” $21. How much does your RIGHT to free speech cost? Or your RIGHT to freely worship? Or any other RIGHT? The ONLY cost to exercise a RIGHT is the cost of equipment as needed to do so. A RIGHT does NOT require the government’s permission in order for you to exercise that RIGHT. If it requires government permission, it is a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT.
@@ryank29 didn’t your Democratic governor up the application fees and made some bs requirements for concealed weapons permits?
Between the class and fee at the sheriffs office 540 for me and my wife. I should had done it a longgggg time ago.
@@SargeUSMC Do you need a drivers license to drive? Do you need an ID to drink at a bar? Do you need a passport to get on a plane? Are those infringing your rights as an American as well? I’m all for the 2A but the idea that a license to carry is infringing your rights is insanity. I see no issue with distinguishing between someone legally carrying for their own protection vs someone who just upped and decided to go cop a Glock with a switch off their friend’s friend’s cousin.
You are so correct and even more logical, let's agree that it should be constitutional carry nationwide and that it should not come with limitations on standard round magazines. I believe that if you want less bullets carry a revolver, i suck with a handgun and don't really like them, but they are easier to carry and conceal. Keep up the good fight and god bless

Mr. Noir, I see very few examples of this type behavior any where else, seldom a newscast on this subject so please keep locating these happenings and keep putting them out there. Thank you for what you do. The additional content also makes sense. I feel that any state with constitutional carry should grant reciprocity to the others.
When I went to Pennsylvania (where I am from) to visit there was no reperocity with my South Carolina carry permit. So I hade to go the the sheriff's office pay $20 and fill a one page form. 20 minutes later I walked out with my PA carry permit.

Totally agree practice builds body memories. Be safe new b’s, practice muscle memory with ur trigger finger before running hot, heard a guy shot himself last year by practicing his draw. He’s still alive but has problems running still. The amount of adrenaline can mess you up when in a high stressed situation such as being held up. Definitely not worth messing up yourself over lack of practice.
Good for him, glad he was aware of what was happening around him, and that he came out of it alright.
We are all missing the point. They are not looking for right or wrong. Lawful or unlawful. They are after all guns , law abiding first.
Keep speaking truth Colion.
The friend that said "I've been robbed at gun point and the reason I'm not dead is because I didn't have a gun." WRONG! He wasn't killed because the robbers allowed them to live. There are murderers that would've killed him using robbery as the excuse for the confrontation. Stop depending on receiving mercy from the merciless. Also, robbed multiple times? Work on having better situational awareness or look at ways to avoid the places that these multiple robberies take place.
It’s interesting that we have driving reciprocity which is a privilege, but no national carry reciprocity which is a right…shows Justice Thomas was right with his analysis on how this country views this right, “Second class.”
