Colorado Senator Tom Sullivan. I brought up that very fact with Rocky Mountain Gun Organization that he is breaking the law. The charge is contempt of Court.
Completely NOT unconstitutional. Well, that can be your stance. Which I assume also means you want to eliminate Class 3 and allow anyone to buy and own anything. Otherwise, it is just additional regulation on top of existing regulation trying to slow a national epidemic of gun violence.

As a lifelong Colorado resident, I would really like to remind these politicians that the most iconic mass shooting in history, Columbine, happened during an assault weapons ban.
They just don’t want the guns look at the UK they are banning knives They want us totally unarmed because that is the easiest way to control a populous.
Not to mention that one of the deadliest mass murders was Virginia Tech which was carried out with pistols. Not only that, why is it when the government takes away the peoples firearms, tens or hundreds of millions of people die real quickly.
As a former Colorado resident, I'd like to remind everyone that top TWO mass shootings in the state were perpetrated by the government (Ludlow, Sand Creek) and happened without "assault weapons" or detachable magazines.
Yep, right smack dab in the middle of it! Additionally, the ban was allowed to expire because the government's own reports found the ban did (unsurprisingly), absolutely nothing to curb "gun crime" or mass shootings. Been pointing this out for years.
Are you serious? Colt Official Police. S&W Model 10 and 13. Ruger Security-Six. The push away from revolvers was liberal nonsense to "demilitarize" the police and force them away from such powerful firearms towards bog standard 9mm semi-automatics.
reminds me of red dead online when i was in defensive mode drinking whiskey at the saloon and a player walked in and started shooing me in the back with a bow and arrows and then the people in the bar freaked out and started shooting back at the player and he had to flee the bar. a armed society actually is a polite society from my experience.
@Colion Noir needs to know this: This vid showed I'd already watched 1-2 minutes of it in my feed when I just opened the app for the first time in 4 hours+. Why would youtube do that? I'm the only one who uses my account, it's a premium account.. I've never, ever seen that happen before. Now, why would UA-cam purposely do that? I can think of a few reasons, not one is good.
Legal gun owners can't even stop themselves from going through TSA with loaded guns or not drinking while armed, so obviously they don't give a shit about the law.
sadly, armed population willingly give up arms. the 800K german army could disarm the three million guns from the french population. it was not a gun issue, just like the shootings are not a gun issue. similarly the jungle speaks vietnamese with or without guns.
Terrible normie argument, it's dumb thinking like this why this country is fucked up and so divided. 99 percent of people who are anti-gun want nothing like this, they just are completely ignorant of guns so they take the same dumb line of thinking and believe that banning all guns is the answer.
@@jeffbachmann7161 nope, both proves that people willing to fight fought. the access of weapons was not a factor in either of those. resistance needs people willing to die, not weapons. we can easily find many case, where people armed with stones was ready to fight tanks, and many other, where people with tanks surrendered before people without one. weapons slightly increase the success, but even that is not a requirement.
It’s not the gun that’s dangerous. It’s the person carrying that gun and law abiding citizens are not dangerous and I’m well aware of the rules and banning magazine fed guns is not gonna stop criminals
It will.. because the only lives the anti-gun folk talk about are the mass shootings. As long as you don't have mass shootings are far as they're concerned there isn't crime caused by firearms. Nobody (they) don't care about a home invasion, robbery, or murder of a person or two.. that doesn't make national news but happens everywhere around the country daily.
This ain't going to stop shit, and they all know it. They're just pushing people to build more ghost guns and this is going to hurt the American economy and government more than it will hurt the criminals. American government banning guns and magazines are dumber that 5th grader
Only liberals would make unjust laws to punish people that don't break laws in the first place. In that light, you find a lot of laws and policies and bylaws do just that. Punish good people for not doing anything wrong and in fact impedes a lot of these peoples lives. Yet liberals will fight any laws that are tough or not, against unjust criminals that attack good people. A lot of it 'because feelings' is ridiculous.
Why do you think the government schools have been so intent of dumbing down generations of students - easier to raise compliant tax cattle than fight against people who KNOW their rights.
The people are the only thing that keeps rights from being infringed on. Otherwise, it's just words. Only way to win is bring up lawsuits against politicians for violating civil and constitutional rights. Or hold them to "shall not be infringed" if push comes to shove.
I love Colorado! But damn our politicians are so stupid here. You can thank California transplants for all this crap. Luckily my job lets me live in another state and commute to work… oh well. Colorado is fucked.
Speaking of stupid smokers, police arrest dozens of people a year carrying while under the influence of marijuana. So yea, pot smokers are pretty damn stupid.
We only have low class criminals, those stay within their little scope of crimes and are easily dealt with. Governments around the world stamped out mafias and real oppositions a short time ago, so now the only threat to their rule is the average citizens
"Using personal tragedy to morally bully people into surrendering their Rights is f***ed up. It’s manipulative and disgusting…” Amen to that, brother! Thank you for stating it.
Does anyone know what the word "infringe" means??? I'm 20 and I know, but these 70 years olds who have lived their entires lives in congress have no idea
That's why there should be an age limit on when you can be a politician and limit how many there are and their pay. The amount of money they get from your taxes could support four families minimum.
@josh.miller We have accepted sooo many infringements on our right to bear arms. The 2nd amendment was the temporary privilege of owning a sub-class of small arms when I was born, 40 years ago. What difference is one more infringement, when compared to the thousands of others already allowed?
half of them look like they watched the declaration of independence being documented for the countries first document of independence from the people they became inspired by with the anti gun policies
Incorrect. The guy lived at 17th and Paris. Which is basically colfax and Peoria st in Aurora. The next big street south is 6th Ave then Alemeda which is roughly when the theater sits. It's at exposition and sable. It would be the closest big non 100 year old theater to him.
That isn't to argue that it isn't the reason he went there nor is it to argue that most shooters pick places that are gun free specifically for that reason. It's only to state fact that that theater was about 4 minutes from him.
I am a 4th generation native Coloradan. I live in the exact neighborhood where my grandfather deployed for WWII. Three times I deployed to Iraq from Colorado Springs. I am absolutely embarrassed and disgusted with what Colorado has become.
Thank you for your service. Sometimes it makes you wonder why the younger generation is deciding not to join our military anymore. I have always wondered if its because they realize everyone who has sacrificed everything for their country comes back and sees how the men in suits have destroyed what the soldiers vowed to protect. All the while the men in suits live in nice homes and the soldiers come back to no job or support for their ultimate sacrifice. The country deteriorates for the ones who fight and care while the ones who only care about themselves are enriched and making policies.
It's the entire west.... same cultural ideology has slept the regions. Weak minded, low ability to forecast consequences have taken positions of power everywhere, and they refuse to accept their policies are responsible for lots of these issues, they double down. Civilians keep voting them in.
The answer to this question? The sound you are currently hearing is crickets. They ARE destroying your 1st Amendment now also. Big government is listening, seeing everything you do on line, texting, and DMs, phone calls, you name it. It never stops. Tyrants never rest.
The one guy that lost his son thinks that allowing guns is because people don't care about life. He should be ashamed of himself. I would like to see him explain to someone who had to defend themselves against an attack why they should be disarmed and told to just stand there and die. I would like to see him explain to a woman who defended herself from being assaulted why she should have been disarmed and just accepted being assaulted. I would like to see him explain to a father or mother why they should be disarmed while their son or daughter is assaulted or killed in front of them. What happened to his son was tragic. What he wants to force on others is inexcusable.he deals with his grief by advocating for others to be hurt and others take advantage of that to push for control at the cost of peoples safety.
Yep, I hate to be the one that has to say it, but... if that guy's son, or anyone else in that theater, had a firearm and were able to defend themselves, maybe he'd still be alive 🤷♂ I'd bet if that were the case, he'd be saying "this bill is stupid because my son was saved by a civilian with a firearm" but because nobody was there to defend his son, this is the outcome that happened, and he's choosing to take the most backwards and destructive stance possible as a result. I understand that he's hurt and grieving, but all him advocating for these restrictive bills does is increase the number of potential victims. More and more people who can't defend themselves... It's like he WANTS more innocents to die, so they feel the pain that he felt or something.
I would like to see him explain to someone who had to defend themselves against an attack why they should be disarmed - The average number of shots in a self-defence incidence is 2 (two). Clearly, you don't need a detachable, high-capacity magazine for self-defence.
@@RomanShein1978 Average ≠ Every situation. I grew up and continue to live in Colorado. This state has changed so much in the past years. It really sped up after the legalization of weed I think.
Held accountable...by WHOM, exactly? The COURTS do not serve the people...the legislatures clearly do not...and even the best-intentioned chief executive is only ONE MAN, beset on every side by traitors who serve the same treasonous anti-American agenda as the authors of this bill: whose work will be undone as soon as they are replaced in the office. Face it: if the PEOPLE THEMSELVES are unwilling to STAND IN FORCE and DEMAND that accounting, there. WILL. BE. NONE. THAT was the purpose of January 6th; to provide the object lesson: to TEACH the American peasants that they DARE not rise up and speak out. To SHOW them, very publicly, what the CONSEQUENCES would be for any who give in to that impulse.
Sadly the state did an end run around that with the state level firearms license that just went into effect 9 days ago. One of the biggest reasons for that was so that the state could do random inspections of gun stores to crack down on the >15 round mags because only Denver and Boulder county sheriffs were actually enforcing that stupid law.
All police officers should refuse to enforce these unconstitutional laws, otherwise they are in fact violating their oath to the Constitution. Following orders is not a valid excuse.
Agreed, but what Colin said is accurate, they know it will take years going through our court systems to get to SCOTUS to be overturned. These liberal run states will continue doing this until SCOTUS rules to STOP ALL of these anti constitutional laws. SCOTUS must rule that ANY ban on ANY semi-automatic guns and ANY type of magazine is unconstitutional, period. There are cases before the court right now that may do just that. The question is, will states like CA, CO, MA, NY, IL actually adhere to these rulings. It seems many states simply want to ignore our constitution and SCOTUS.
I'm sure if we put up signs around the legislatures to INDICATE that, the problem would simply go away overnight. Oh, wait...criminals don't OBEY laws.
In Britain, they locked people up for social media posts They even locked up a lady who was praying “in her head” On the sidewalk outside an abortion clinic The UK is a liberal schiffhole
Well, in Europe it is usually not legal to protect yourself with a gun anyway. It's almost always considered excessive force. There are rare exemptions. From Finnish supreme court case law: 1) a 80-year old person was justified to defend himself with a handgun against three home-invading robbers after they had already hit him; 2) A man was justified to shoot with a shotgun a single shot at the attackers shoulder, when the attacker was cutting a hole in his apartment door with chainsaw. At least using more than one magazine of rounds in a defensive encounter would almost surely be considered excessive here.
yeah, but its like here in au... they simultaneously took the cane from schools, made spanking a crime, and imported new residents. never had issues when there was five rifles stacked in the corner of the living room and ammo scattered in random drawers or boxes... but now theyre banned, surprise surprise. the ones that want to use them the wrong way dont worry about licenses, or safes, or rules. the whole demographic of the country changed as well. the morals and attitudes. still, i dont see why you need more than a single shot. old bolt/lever worked fine for the use a gun should be put to... do you _really_ need ten shots? really? lol, mate got bashed over the head with a rifle the other day... fell out of the safe whilst dragging family photos out for the missus...

Tren De Aragua have guns with detachable magazines, and they have been causing all kinds of trouble in Colorado, but yet the citizens are not allowed to defend themselves.
GREAT STUFF! THANK YOU! Keep it coming man. It is incredibly disheartening to me how willing the citizens of this GREAT country are to just lay down and give up all the rights that were bought with immeasurable cost. I am so overwhelmed with all the noise. In your opinion, where does as responsible citizen donate to ensure that the lobbyists and powers trying to disarm the citizens do no accomplish the goal?
My cousin was in the Aurora theater. When I asked her about guns, she said “if just ONE of us had anything to shoot back with it would have been over. We could have stopped it.” No one had their gun because theaters are “gun free” zones, aka shooting galleries. Gun reduce crime when average people are allowed to actually keep and bear their arms.
@@Erick_Bloodaxe you know the idea behind gun bans is to choke the supply and demand out right, making it effectively harder to find those kind of weapons? Also thus making it effectively more expensive to buy those weapons if you somehow manage to get your hands on one? Do you know how to think? Because I don’t think you do.
@mid-nite_drive-thru Oh but they do. Why else would they be trying so gard to disarm us? Because they fear the repercussions if they try anything more drastic while we are armed.

@@rushthezeppelinthey definitely don't. A lot of it is due to circumstances like their jobs. I live in VA, and I worked for the US Naval Research Laboratory for most of my career. I had to drive through MD and into a Naval base in DC to go to work. My VA and Utah CCPs were pretty much useless. I could easily see myself going to prison for accidentally leaving my handgun in the glove compartment, and getting caught while entering the base. A lot of my friends in VA with permits have the same problem. I don't work there anymore, so I carry everywhere I go. But, I try not to go into DC or MD unless I have to.
@@DDDYLN I have a similar problem, except I'm only travelling within VA. My office is on Navy property about three miles from my home, and there's a big sign at the parking lot entrance noting that Federal law forbids firearms past that point. People with CCLs should be able to carry in "gun free" zones, that's the whole point of a CCL. I notice that the criminals still get to carry in "gun free" zones, and cops, and the body guards for "very important people". I also notice that all these people advocating for "gun control" never know how a gun ACTUALLY functions and almost none of them have ever fired one.

Many federal employees would be in federal prison if they didn't work for the government; if the average citizen gets caught printing a few thousand to pay their bills they get fined for counterfeiting and can spend 20 years in prison, meanwhile the government prints trillions of dollars every year to pay for its bills as 'quantitative easing'.
The ironic part is the people who are typically anti-gun are also to some extent anti-police. The police suck and are incompetent. No, you can't own firearms to protect yourselves.. that's why we have police. And around and around we go.
It is sad that somebody lost her child or a loved one in a mass shooting, if they had been armed and carrying a pistol, they could neutralize the threat and saved other people, but no these grieving parents so to speak, is nothing but a F’ing joke, it is their way of lashing out and punishing everybody else because they’re still pissed off and they want to get revenge in place of closure, my word these parents grow the F ‘up.

Just stop, we need to get off ours and do something, that is the reason why so many laws get passed, because the pro-gun side doesn't push hard enough.
We need term limits!! AND a law that prosecutes any elected official that creates or sponsors any bill that violates American's Constitutionally protected Rights, with a jail term of at least 20 years!
Agreed. I’ve said the same thing myself. Only thing with the term limits, it only helps if the people voting learn from their mistakes. In fact, in places like California, it might become worse.
That and even if we did, will the voters learn from their mistakes or make it worse? I don’t have faith in that. I escaped California, where they had a chance to repeal a gas tax placed on them against the California Constitution and they voted it back in.
Who said that the constitution is a finished document? Without the amendments it would be much worse in the US. And who knows what additional amendments may be needed in time. But if you outlaw any democratic changes to the constitution you may find yourself in a very tough spot.
Damn right brother. Watching this wearing my 2A shirt. You’re preaching to the choir. We need people like you running for office in more states. My home state of Tennessee has its problems like any other state. But I’m damn thankful that’s where I was born and raised and raised my family.
@DarthPerc My point is that making a law didn't stop anything. Only the people who chose to obey the law will & those, like criminals, won't. It's not about, for the most part, protecting people it's about controlling them & taking away their right.
@@DarthPerc Good Lord, OF COURSE ITS SATIRE! - We ALREADY have laws against MURDER....So why are they trying to make guns illegal? - TO DISARM THE CITIZENS!
Also. I read through the bill. The “pistols” they are referring to are “gas operated” pistols to go after ar pistols. You can still commit crimes in denver as long as it’s a glizzy with a switch. Oh. And less than 15 rounds. Actually I don’t think the mayor cares if you’re committing crimes anymore so I don’t understand the point of the bill?
As a Colorado resident, thank you for shining the spotlight on this. Please keep it on, and continue to update on SB 25-003. We need to quickly get the entire country to fight this alongside us. I know voting in this state is depressing and feels futile, but there is still plenty of fight left in some of our residents even if we are outnumbered and up against a rogue state government. Right now, this state needs any reinforcements it can get.
This is going to trash a lot of businesses, thousands of people will lose their jobs. Revenue, taxes, etc. They already ran out Magpul years ago taking jobs with it. I just hope enough gun stores don't comply, especially Mel (Dragonman), it's a blatantly unconstitutional law and no one should comply.
What is needed is a bill where politicians that present bills like this, that are unconstitutional, they are immediately cast out of Congress, and banned from ever holding public office, or working for ANY branch of government, federal, state, county, or city.
Trying to play the morality card, while simultaneously attempting to remove the ability for innocent people to defend themselves and others, is pure evil. For the 9000th time, criminals DON'T CARE about laws!!
There needs to be repercussions for lawmakers that pass laws that have already been ruled unconstitutional. Between Heller and Bruin, the SCOTUS has already ruled that these types of gun bans are illegal.
I don't set foot in any state that prohibits my right to self-preservation. I have turned down trips to California, Massachusetts, D.C., Colorado, and New York over the past several years.
It's almost like we accepted infringements on the 2nd amendment, and it'll never stop. We need to move past gun rights, and return the right to bear arms.

Our state has had too many liberal transplants from California. They all move to Denver, Boulder, Aspen etc. Like you said our votes in southern Colorado always seemingly don’t matter because of the large liberal population in Northern Colorado. It makes it almost impossible for the republican legislature to oppose bills like this as they don’t have enough sway or votes to stop them. Colorado used to be one of the best states to live in for gun laws. These days it is now becoming one of the worst.

As a lifelong Colorado resident, I would really like to remind these politicians that the most iconic mass shooting in history, Columbine, happened during an assault weapons ban.
Yep
So.. cops going to start carrying revolvers now?
Of course not. Their bodyguards will be exempt.
Are you serious? Colt Official Police. S&W Model 10 and 13. Ruger Security-Six. The push away from revolvers was liberal nonsense to "demilitarize" the police and force them away from such powerful firearms towards bog standard 9mm semi-automatics.

Legal gun owners can't even stop themselves from going through TSA with loaded guns or not drinking while armed, so obviously they don't give a shit about the law.
Why gun control?
Because armed people will NOT willingly load themselves into railroad boxcars.
sadly, armed population willingly give up arms. the 800K german army could disarm the three million guns from the french population. it was not a gun issue, just like the shootings are not a gun issue. similarly the jungle speaks vietnamese with or without guns.
I wouldnt' be too sure of that anymore. Look how many willing lined up for the jabs?
Terrible normie argument, it's dumb thinking like this why this country is fucked up and so divided. 99 percent of people who are anti-gun want nothing like this, they just are completely ignorant of guns so they take the same dumb line of thinking and believe that banning all guns is the answer.

They will once if/when this law passes because it will be instantly challenged in court
No..WE the PEOPLE need to get off ours.
...and so what? They have no enforcement power except the firearms and votes of we the people...and hopefully the executive branches of the various levels of government.
Just stop, we need to get off ours and do something, that is the reason why so many laws get passed, because the pro-gun side doesn't push hard enough.
No, we need to get off ours and let our voices be heard.
ban TRUCKS, Ban the armed men that protect politicians. Oh, wait 🤦🏾♂️🤣😂
We need term limits!! AND a law that prosecutes any elected official that creates or sponsors any bill that violates American's Constitutionally protected Rights, with a jail term of at least 20 years!
All politicians should have their constitutional rights revoked until they leave office
The problem with term limits is the ppl who would have to vote to get the bill passed has a vested interest in NOT letting term limits come to be.
That's how we got rid of drunk driving & use of illegal drugs. We made laws & poof no more problems.
I hope this is satire. 13,000 people died from drunk driving in 2024 alone. and close to 100K from drug abuse.
Right! They should make murder illegal.... wait...
@@DarthPercyes it's satire
I hate Colorado. When I moved here we were not a blue state.
Well what are YOU doing to stop this? If not why complain
Yeah I always wanted to move back. Now I'm looking at Arizona or Utah.
I feel the same. I live here now, and these politicians are too much.
Time to move
It goes against everything that’s American … 🇺🇸 🦅
Right ON! Keep this great commentary coming! Great JOB!
I’m in the springs, this is fucked. After letting millions including criminals into the state
Same here. EPSD won't enforce it, fortunately.
Exactly
ever seen that episode of rick and morty the purge? basically this now.
Legal weed ruined Colorado. All the dang hippies moved there.
I'd sign that
I would go further than that but YT has already slapped several zuccs on me.
Shall not be infringed.
That isn't going to save shit. 🙄
It's not intended to
I don't set foot in any state that prohibits my right to self-preservation. I have turned down trips to California, Massachusetts, D.C., Colorado, and New York over the past several years.
It's almost like we accepted infringements on the 2nd amendment, and it'll never stop.
We need to move past gun rights, and return the right to bear arms.
It will not stop until it *IS* stopped. And waiting for someone ELSE to come along and stop it WILL NOT WORK. You KNOW this.
Then what is the plan?
We all got to stop it.
I will be voting against this as loud as I can and anyone that is attached to it.
You won't get to vote on it. The politicians will vote on it. You don't get a say.
Guys, now is the time to not comply and to instead protest.
As a New Yorker , I chose featureless for my ar-15 .
Because I valued a removable mag over fixed .
Clearing a jam is important . More important than a flashlight or any other attachment
I'll stick to my constitutional rights. Shall Not Be Infringed. Simple!
Which were written when people were using muskets
@VeeTwoPointOh why aren't you using parchment and a quill, then?
@ that’s related to guns again how? I’ll wait if you need time :)
@VeeTwoPointOh you're the one that brought up a weapon used when it was signed. A backhanded gotcha moment. I just led with your ignorant response. Need some time for a retort?
@ it’s true. They wrote that amendment long before the weapons of today were conceived. You’re just pissy because I’m right. Trying to use whataboutisms is sad
Say it with me... "I WILL NOT COMPLY".
Molon Labe
I shall not comply!
I will not comply!
Amen
Add never to that.
Disarming the citizens made crime rates have record highs. auto theft and sexual assault being the main two. -Canadians.
Not getting better any time soon
You were 💯 right, you called it.
So does that apply to the criminals too...
No. They are "grandfathered in".
No
M1 Garand and S&W 500 revolvers have entered the chat.
They can ban it but it was ban before and we still had shootings I don't know what this will prove
Alabama here!
Do not comply.
Coloradan here.
Trust me, I won't.
Arkansan here .

Texas is with you all.
Just say the word.

WTF. How can they COMPLETELY ignore Supreme Court precedent and the Constitution. They should be removed from office.
I believe this is what we call an insurrection against the constitution. They call out their own crimes on others. Projection.
They don't care. And they won't be removed because the commies that elected them want to "feel safe"
Too many anti-gun judges ruling what they feel like in my opinion, the Constitution no longer matters, it's what the judges seem to feel like ruling.
The judges are not going by the Constitution, they are ruling by what they feel like, they need to be removed from those positions.
There's no enforcement, if there was, most democraps would be in prison, and a couple under it.
Shall Not Be Infringed
I live here in Jefferson county Co. One of the state senators that introduced this bill is Jessie Daniels (D). This bill was introduced straight into a senate committee, that way they bypassed the state house. This kind of lawfare should be illegal. They push these B.S. bills to make it look like they are doing something and then the very taxpayers they are supposed to represent have to spend our tax money in court to fight them. Please call the Colorado reps and senators and make your voices heard. This used to be a great state with a rugged pioneering history, now it's turning into one of the worst liberal shitholes in the country. We try to vote this crap out , but the major blue cities like Denver and Boulder just overturn our votes. P.S.( G.O.A. and other 2A advocate groups, it wouldn't hurt you to look into this unconstitutional bill and give us a little help over here. We here in Colorado are members and contributors to your organizations too.)
I'm from Colorado a state that is light on crime. A 53 year old man driving recklessly running thru a red light, kills a 13 year old boy on his way to school and receives the max sentence ( 1 year in jail and $1,000 fine for this misdemeanor of driving reckless resulting in death, not vehicular homicide. Another senseless killing with a vehicle, yet here we are again trying to take away our guns....
