- In this video, I take a Pro-Point 24" X 36" welding table from Princess Auto and modify it for easy storage when not in use.
Thank you do Princess Auto for sponsoring this video and sending me this table.

About Simple Little Life:
This channel has sort of turned (inadvertently) into a knife making channel. But the original idea behind what we wanted it to be is this description below:
Videos on our journey to homesteading. With a recent purchase of a little piece of the Alberta prairie, we're looking to sell our nice suburban home in search of a more meaningful life beyond chasing the "American dream" working for some big company and making someone else rich. It's not about the money, it's about getting the most value from the work I do to improving the life of my family.
Some preparedness, DIY, building quality things with your hands, guns, gear, and outdoor exploration.

It passes the ‘sit’ test which is all that matters. Awesome build. I use my welding table all the time. This makes it easy to have one that is compact and storable. Also, I like how you found the angle of your dangle. 😁
The angle of dangle is proportionate to the heat of the meat 😎🤣
Thanks Brian! 👍
Another incredible project Jeremy! Really great “engineering” coming up with a way to take a stock item and remake it to fit your specific needs. Awesome.
Thanks buddy 👍
The audio on this video was outstanding!
Thank you!
Clever! Living in Florida, I completely took for granted that I can just park outside the garage all year to use it as a shop.
Really nice job! For added safety you could add a hole for a removable pin where each leg meets the top. Super great video thanks subbed
Turned out amazing. Now I'm going to try something similar.
"that was way more work than I thought it would be", Said by everyone whoever made anything lol. Nice job, I'm about to take on something very similar so it was good to see some of your ideas.
haha I was saying the exact same thing to myself. I think it's watching these projects on youtube. A several day piece gets compressed down into 15min so part of me thinks, oh, this shouldn't take long!
Use shoulder bolts for your location pins.
looks good, only thing I would change is to move the leg pivot up a bit so that the leg bottoms are as wide as the table top. Of course, you built it and I didn't... so your way wins anyway.
I’m just about to build something like this and your idea Len it’s pretty good.
I believe I’ll move the pívot a little bit up and see how works.
Thanks for the comment.
Sehr gute Idee, platzsparend und praktisch zugleich 👍
Awesome table ! I would love to have one like it !! They should pay you big money for your new design and put it on the market !!!
Great idea, Jeremy. I initially rejected that same table because I don't have the space for it. I may need to reassess that decision now.
What was the name of the supplier of your welding table? Thank you for this video
It turned out nice.
Thank you👍
Awesome Job
Beauty, when I have leveling feet or rollers I get them dialed in where I use them in the shop then take a spray can with white paint and just shoot a quick spot on the floor and feet at the same time. Makes it easy to get the machine in the same spot easily.
Great build !
Nice work !!!
You just give me the inspiration to do mine !!!
Thanks:
Thanks so much! I use mine a lot since doing this and it’s holding up really nicely👍
Did you consider attaching one side of the leg assembly to the table on a hinged joint? I figure it would be more convenient if the whole thing stays together when folded up, like those wooden tv dinner tables my parents had in the 90's.
I thought about it but then the legs would be in the outside of the support frame and would require a bunch of extra brackets and tabs. Also, moving it around would be significantly heavier. For the times I have to use this I want it to be as small as possible and easy to setup. I think with the legs attached it would have been less of both.
Good working
Don’t forget to add som hook it useful for widening tools ⚒️
Jeremy, would it be too heavy or would it work if you run a piece of round bar or pipe thru one set of legs and thru one side of the table frame where it was one piece that could fold up and down?
For that I would have to have the legs on the outside of the support frame and then to would require extra tabs or brackets for the legs to lock into. It would also be significantly heavier. It certainly would have worked and I thought about it but figured I’d try this first. 👍
What size are the holes in the top of the table ?
I think it’s time for another shop tour .
Great work !!!.
What's the chemical product used for cleaning up the table surface in the minute 7:20 ???
Thanks u !!!
0:28 Was that a 🐱 freezing it's butt off??? Lol
No, they have a little house where they stay and even though it's way warmer in there, they always are roaming around during the day. Crazy cats 🤪👍
I think that was a boot brush on the porch
"this ikea shelf is the flattest thing in my shop just now" and uses it to weld on...
Stands next to new welding table...... 🤔
....I also needed that idea shelf to weld the welding table top onto the frame. Makes sense for me to use one setup for the whole build instead of changing this up and moving tools around.....🤔
Wonder if you could get a shop with a water jet or laser table to cut a top off for a lil less money. 320$ for just a not even 3/16” table top is a bit steap!
I know Certiflat sells the 24”x36”x3/16” with bracing 249$ US. Shipping would kill tho!
Yeah it isn’t cheap. I bought this one when it was on sale though. I think it was 35% off with free shipping. A little better for sure.
Uhhhhh. Did you say -32? I got an idea for you. You probably already do this. You could store your cryo liquid nitrogen canister outside! It would probably last much longer in that balmy -32 than it would in the stifling +20 in your garage there.
What diameter of holes are in the table?
Standard 5/8” on 2” centers.
