    Nice insight, looking forward to see what people are gonna make with such a matured machine.

      Thanks Geekoid! You can view some of our customer stories at re3d.org/applications/. What would you print?

    I'm curious why you do not use a different hot end say the E3D or the Slice products? Thanks!

    • @re3Dprinting
      @re3Dprinting  3 роки тому

      Thanks for the great question! We use the E3D V6 heat sink, but we manufacture our standard and mondo heater blocks in-house. This allows us to make a hot end design that is optimized for our extruder and trolley systems, all at a cheaper cost.

      @@re3Dprinting that’s interesting. Most of the machines on my little farm sport the Bondtech extruders. I’m always leery of no name brands and I’m curious what the specs are for yours? Thank you.

      @@WhereNerdyisCool We use NEMA 17 geared stepper motor that interfaces with an extruder body that we design and manufacture in house as well. It is a direct drive extruder. Which specifications are you looking for? Those related to printing performance, or those more along the lines of the design?

    I want one badly. Great explanation of the product. I wish I had the funds to get one of these.

      We would love for you to have one! What would you print with it? Perhaps you could write a grant to get the funds.

      Interesting I didn't know grant's were available. I enjoy printing and making prosthetics for dogs, and anything with gears lol. Alot of the time I'm limited by the size of the 2 printers I own to accommodate larger prints. I will have to look up the grant process, I don't charge anyone for the dog prosthetics, so a grant would be super helpful to expand my capabilities.

    High quality rollers straight from an ender 3....
    Up scaling a voron would be a better option

      Thank you for the feedback! The v-groove wheel technology was able to keep our technology affordable and understandable for our community of makers and modders, so that was the reason for choosing them the many years ago we released GB3+ Keep a look out for our new printer that will have linear rails!

    Amazing Machine, but why these Inches? I thought that the american Engineers use Metric System like the scientist..... But go forward, that is very interesting.

      Thanks for the comment Markus! We use a combination of the two actually, just depends on what we are making

      El precio parece adecuado comparandolo con una compañia de Argentina TRIDEO3D con impresoras similares. Gigabot parece mas robusta en su construccion comparandolas.

    Affordable? Compared to what? A battleship? I don't think the guy stressed the "industrial" part quite enough. This machine is supposed to be able to work 24/7/365 for at least a decade (with maintenance of wearable parts) with no decline in print quality, and if it's truly able to do that, the price is actually pretty low. If it's not though, it's overpriced. You only buy this if your cheaper printers can't do what this one can and you have enough work so it will actually print 24/7. If not, there are options that are, you know, actually affordable.

    • @re3Dprinting
      @re3Dprinting  3 роки тому +4

      Thank you for the analysis and feedback! You're right, as an industrial machine, it is a workhorse, printing days on end time after time. There are consumables and necessary maintenance. Compared to other printers of similar volume and structure, this printer is quite affordable. Thank you again for your insights!

    $10,000 printer that doesn't even use linear rails instead the same BS rubber rollers on $300.00 machines. SAD.

    • @re3Dprinting
      @re3Dprinting  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Foxfried, thanks for the comment! When Gigabot 3+ launched in 2016, the vgroove wheels still worked great for our application, and they helped us keep the cost of the printer for our intended market. Now that we've had time to design our new printers and the economy of scale have made the rails more affordable, our GB4 printer coming out later this year will have them which we're super excited about! Thanks again for the feedback
