- This song is the background music that plays during the Heaven dungeon in Persona 4.
As I was researching the lyrics of this amazing song, I never realized how connected the lyrics are to Nanako. You can feel Nanako's loneliness when you're listening to the song and it makes me want to give that little cutie a hug and give her all the love she needs :(

Like the wise sage Kanji once said:

The game really felt different when she stopped being there to tell you "Welcome home" .
Just got to that part a few days ago... it really made me sad when no one was at home to greet you anymore and the music was suddenly different. (Depressing kind of different)

To think, these words and emotions all coming from Nanako.
Heaven was beautiful, but she didn’t have to go through all of that.
She already endured so much with the loss of her loved one.
And the fact that she still has a joyful smile greeting the protagonist every day when he comes home… gosh she is so strong.
To be fair, Narukami was probably one of the few people who gave her that strength.
Actually I think the song just like the Heaven area is from Namatame's heart.
The investigation team only assumes Nanako created this place because of their assumptions about Namatame being evil, however he believed that it was peaceful inside the TV, and when people started calling him the murderer he became defensive in his mind and said it was even a paradise inside the TV, the comments about "the words that hurt my soul" and "removing doubt from my mind" I think refer to his denial and the belief he was saving people, and the lines "Those long days passing by from that door" is a reference to the kidnappings themselves, grabbing the victims when they answer their door, and the fact that "Like late summer they slowly fade away" is a reference to the Summer of this year when he was active, not just any old Summer.
I think the only connection to Nanako that the world has is a coincidence that is meant to subvert your expectations, so that the investigation team don't have to grapple with the fact that Namatame's heart created this imagery.

Nanako is the best persona character ever
She’s an impressive character for sure, kids like her in gaming are so rare, she feels real to the point you feel like scolding Dojima.

Persona has some great characters(many not that great too) but Nanako is up there for sure.
I always wished she come back older as a playable charachter in a future persona game, it would be so cool
When I reached this point of the game, my dog was taking her last breaths. Whenever I listen to this I feel desolated. Then, something I noticed after playing P3: The Answer, the day we got stuck is 3/31... That was the day she passed away. These games hit me so hard...
I mean no ill will, but I think your dog has ties to the Persona games somehow… If you ever find yourself playing the Persona games again, I hope that you’ll find yourself cherishing though wonderful moments you had with her, and that even when times seems to slow through your hurt, you can find solace in the fact you gave her a truly remarkable life… ❤

heaven stage are definitely manifestation of both nanako and namatame ego. the lyrics however are 100% for nanako. Junes music really lift her spirit up from losing her mother early

It really hurts me a bit when the lyrics talk about "Still music keeps on turning me from the words that hurt my soul" and "Those long days passing by from that door" are probably talking about how her mom played piano, how the Junes tune distracts her a bit from her loneliness and how she has to wait for her dad all alone while he is working

Idk why I wanted to rescue everyone on the first day, just felt more urgent
Genuinely makes me imagine a very detailed comic of Yu Narukami having that exact outburst at The Investigation Team after getting like 75% of the way through Heaven and exhausting most of their resources, then the team helps him calm down before tbey dive back in to finish the job.
@@FantasyLord2205 i was way too overlevelled by the time Nanako's arc hit and saved her in a day, skipping a lot of floors' chest. I was like 70+ with the squad. Grinded Naoto's lair a bit too much due to the hype music haha
After hearing the first time it in the game i found kinda boring but after a while this song just grew on me and became one of my favorites... The lyrics are just beautiful, thanks Minako!
I geniunely think this song, while being absolutely beautiful, is not a good dungeon theme. It has a very slow pace while the general dungeon design in P4 doesn't let you to explore without encountering a shadow for more than 30/35 seconds. That way the song is always cut at a bad time and hearing it once again from the beginning rapidly becomes very annoying.

I played persona 4 on xbox series s, it really hits me hard the nanako history, every time that nanako is avaiable i try to play with her, i can feel the loneliness that she feel, to get lose a family i can understand who she feel a little, i tink she is one of most developed character of persona 4.

This song always makes me cry
It's sad once you listen to the lyrics and realize that this song is about Nanako's trauma and loneliness from losing her mom.
It also applies to namatame just less so as heaven in its entirety is both nanakos and namatames creation however the game does imply that heaven was mostly created from namatame (nanako with her mother and namatame thought that he was saving people from dying)
