@@ChristopherGray00 Sorry. Seeing cats “grooming” looks the same to me as a bath minus actual water.
I’ve seen toddler children resistant to being bathed which usually ends up with water everywhere and could imagine such when Kiki was trying to get away from being groomed.
It also made it’s way into my thoughts from a scene in Disney’s 1994 The Lion King involving such.
I’ll try to remember the more appropriate term groom in future posts.
I would be surprised if she didn´t bite ^.^ Is normal cat play, dude their skin is very very strong. Thats why you never should play with a little cat by offering your fingers, because when they are small you can handle but not when them grow up
@@analiviaminsk1171 I play with my cat with my hands since she baby. Cat learn how to bite without hurting others. She know the limit and didn't hurt me at all (ok, some cut sometime with her claw but its happen only if i forgot to trim them).

In keinem Katzenfilm habe ich so ein exzessives Waschen einer Mutter gesehen. Merkt der Besitzer nicht das Mimi seit der Geburt gestört ist.
@@MonikaIrene Dokładnie mówię to samo. Mam takie same odczucia i uwagi. Uważam, że Mimi w ogóle nie powinna zostać matką. Przerażający jest brak reakcji właściciela. Nic z tym nie robi. To samo mówiłam. Na żadnym kocim filmie nie widziałam takiego zachowania. Ale ten film przekroczył już wszelkie granice. Właściciel nie powinien był dopuścić w ogóle do rozmnażania się tych kotów, a zrobił to chyba celowo. Straszne.

A tu nic🙁 Nic nie rozumie ani z zachowania Mimi, ani Kiki. Jeszcze na siłę trzymał ją zbyt długo uwięzioną w pudle, gdzie nie mogła schować się przed matką. Am I the only one who thinks Mimi is being too rough? I watched a mother cat and her kittens from the 2nd day of their birth and never saw such aggressive cleaning and holding them so tight. I adopted 2 of the kittens.
Holding her tight is part of immobilizing prey and second can be discipline. Mimi knows what she is teaching her. We see it from a human prospective. She loves her baby and knows what she is doing.She is a great 1st time mom. She is young herself. Kiki is so cute and feisty now.
@@patreese4616 I agree. I think all is natural. Kiki is maturing slowly and becoming more independent. She has to learn to bite to eat solid food, but then this becomes part of the natural weaning process because teeth can hurt! Mimi will give her a gentle nip to warn Kiki off feeding from her.
I think people are too worried about Mimi's washing. It looks a bit ferocious, but Kiki has not learned to wash herself yet. In the cat world Mimi.would be preparing for another litter and she would be gently pushing Kiki away. Kiki.will soon be independent, but still.has to learn from her mother yet.
I agree with you, I have had many cats and kittens, and I do think Mimi is quite aggressive, probably due to the fact that her other kittens in the litter didn't survive, and now she is obsessively grooming Kiki, if she had a full litter of 4-6 kittens she would not have had the time or the inclination to smother one kitten.
Uważam tak jak ty. Ja też nie widziałam, żeby gdziekolwiek jakaś kocia matka tak traktowała swoje dziecko, z taką agresją. Nie wiem czy tylko to, że straciła kocięta jest tego przyczyną. Ona chyba w ogóle nie nadaje się na matkę. W czasie porodu zachowywała się tak, jakby nie wiedziała co się z nią dzieje. Chodziła po całym pokoju. Nawet nie wiedziała co ma robić, gdy Kiki się już urodziła. Myślę, że tamte kocięta nie przeżyły przez to dziwne zachowanie matki. Kiki się udało, bo chyba była najsilniejsza. No ale teraz matka ją chce zamęczyć. Masz rację to lizanie jest agresywne i obsesyjne. Trwa już prawie 2 miesiące. A biedna Kiki nie miała jak uciec i obronić się, bo była na siłę trzymana z matką w pudle, z którego nie mogła sama wyjść gdy chciała. Odziedziczyła po ojcu krótkie nogi. To w ogóle jest okrucieństwo hodować takie koty.Ludzka wygoda, a cierpienie dla kota. Ile osób mówiło temu właścicielowi, żeby umożliwił Kiki swobodne wychodzenie. Skończyła 2 miesiące, a poruszała się jak 3 tygodniowy kociak🙁Już niedługo będzie miała 3, a ma problemy z poruszaniem się. To wina właściciela, który niczego nie dostrzega, a wiele osób widzi, że coś tu jest nie tak. Niestety zachowanie Mimi nie jest normalne i ona niczego Kiki nie uczy, chyba tylko agresji.

Nie tylko czasami. Na większości filmów widać tą agresję w postaci obsesyjnego atakowania językiem. A przy tym jeszcze dziecko przytrzymuje siłą. Nie tylko tu. Nie widziałam tak zachowującej się kociej mamy, tak agresywnej i niedelikatnej. Tragiczne, że większość bierze to za miłość i uważa za normalne. Ci ludzie nic nie wiedzą o kotach, na czele z tym właścicielem.
@@lianstaben8174 I think it's because normally a cat mom has a litter. She wouldn't be able to give that much attention to one kitten. For example she grooms/licks Kiki incessantly. You can see Kiki being smothered by her at times. She wouldn't have that energy with a full litter. 🤷🏽♀️

We have 2 male kittens that were abandoned by their mother on our porch. They were less than a week old, so we took them in and bottle raised them. Their names are Mikey and Grayson. They are about a month younger than KiKi now. 🙂 Still working on introducing them to my other 2 cats. It's going 🤔 slowly. My cats are not amused! Lol

A co dopiero długonoga wielka kocica i krótkonogie małe i nieporadne kociątko. Już dawno powinno być na stałym pokarmie i odseparowane od znerwicowanej, zestresowanej matki.

@@melianna999 Nie wszyscy. Mnie też ciężko oglądać te filmy i męczarnie Kiki. Przeraża ludzka głupota i radość z cierpienia. Najgorsze, że te idiotyczne roześmiane komentarze utwierdzają właściciela ignoranta w tym, że wszystko jest w porządku, a on wspaniale dba o koty🙁 W ogóle nie powinien ich mieć, a Kiki powinna być mu odebrana, zanim stanie jej się krzywda. Najlepiej gdyby adoptował ją ktoś z innego kraju,bo nie wiem czy w Japonii dostrzegają jakiś problem. Wydaje się, że nie. U innych ludzi, znających się na kotach miałaby szanse na normalny rozwój i szczęśliwe kocie dzieciństwo.

You know Kiki’s teeth got to hurt her.
There comes a time for a lot of us people when we reach that breaking point and we say, "No more!" Kiki is beyond that point. And, Mimi is getting tired of a child that won't let her groom her. That made me feel uncomfortable watching that at times.
Kittens are tougher than you think and Mimi won't hurt her. Kiki has to learn to wash herself, then Mimi will stop.

@@Landis_Grant Ja również się zgadzam z tym komentarzem i podzielam twoje obawy. Rodzeństwo Kiki zmarło przy porodzie. Uważam, że Mimi w ogóle nie powinna zostać matką,bo się do tego nie nadaje, co widać na wszystkich filmach od narodzin. A to co się dzieje między nią a Kiki wyraźnie pokazuje, że powinna być jak najszybciej wysterylizowana. Byłoby to dla jej dobra.
Od dawna czuję się nieswojo obserwując jak Mimi traktuje biedną Kiki. Brak właściwych reakcji właściciela na to tylko pogłębia smutek i irytację przy oglądaniu.

when you pet them they bite you not that it hurts I guess to them they are just
playing and get carried away but she will eventually grow out of it hopefully
but Kiki is learning and she has Mama Mimi the best mother in the world
looking after her, a great father too Coco is around somewhere and a good
human family giving her a place to live and grow up in.

Good for Kiki! She’s so adorable 💜💜. Unfortunately her tactic doesn’t seem to be working well so far… The more she bites the more she gets bathed… LOL! Or mama gives her a bite back but it’s a necessary part of her development both her teeth and to learn how to defend her self. Super cute! 💜💜

Ona nie liże ale wręcz szarpie tego kociaka🙁i tak już od paru miesięcy. Obawiam się czy zdoła jej wyrosnąć normalne futerko. Ta kocia matka jest chora psychicznie.
Mommy is teaching her an important skill " bite inhibition" Most times if there are siblings, the siblings during play will squeak or meow to show it's being bitten too hard by its brother or sister.Because kiki doesn't have siblings, her mom has to teach her this skill.
Also kiki's mom will get her in a head lock and put her mouth on her neck sometimes,during play or bathing to show the kitten that Mom is dominant

This behavior is painful to watch..Mimi isn't acting like a loving mother,she is obsessed with continual bathing and forcing this small baby ,who hasn't any ability to stop this licking...I love seeing this baby exploring and becoming independent,Watching her mother hold her hostage while licking her so forclily is distrubing.

Maybe it is because Kiki is the only surviving kitten from the birth ever think about it that way.
It's quite natural. Watching my first cat with her kitten I was worried, but I realised that this is how mother cats discipline and care for their babies. Kittens are tough little cookies!
Mimi is concerned that Kiki has not yet started washing herself. It takes time!
Kiki will become more independent and Mimi will become a little more aggressive- a bit like human teenagers and their parents. In the natural world, Mimi would be preparing for another batch of kittens and wanting Kiki to be ready to fend for herself.
@@marythurlow9132 in human terms I think Mimi is what is described as a ''helicopter" parent, it would be nice to see Kiki be able to pursue independence without so much hovering and intervention from her mother.

Może u normalnej kotki to co piszesz miałoby zastosowanie. Ale zachowanie Mimi nie jest NORMALNE, odkąd została matką. A może już wcześniej miała jakieś problemy. Najpierw trzeba zająć się jej stresem, poznać przyczynę i pomóc jej. Na pewno powinna być oddzielona od Kiki. Właściciel już dawno popełnił jakiś błąd i zamiast to naprawić, to problem się pogłębia.
