    If i want to move to cape coral this would be the closest option for mtb correct?

    • @jackattackoutdoors9797
      @jackattackoutdoors9797  3 місяці тому

      Yes I believe it would be. If you want to drive a little further there is Alafia and Carter Road but they are quite a ways north of you.

    Hey there! I'm not sure if you're still checking comments, but I'm designing a website for a riding group that rides these trails, and I was wondering if you'd be o.k. with me using a small clip of your video? :)

      Hello, yes I do still check these comments. You can definitely use clips of this video! My only request is that you share the final product with me. I’d love to see it!

      No rattlesnakes. I did see a pretty large snake sunning itself in the trail on another ride there though.

    Jack are the trails open during raining season?

    • @jackattackoutdoors9797
      @jackattackoutdoors9797  5 років тому +1

      Rarely. I've tried to go several times but found the trails closed. You'd need a good few days to a week of dry conditions, and even then it's not certain. They do have a website you can check before you go to make sure though.

      @@jackattackoutdoors9797 I have a issue, I'm 5'11, I'm at the top of the height limit for the bike with 29s and a 17 inch frame. I was thinking about canceling my purchase and waiting for the brand Giant Talon 29er with a little larger frame. The Talon has 2 front gears and tubeless rims/tires. What do you think about my height vs a 17 inch frame?
      I'm gathering info from friends that ride and trying to get other opinions. Lol not basing my decisions on UA-cam alone.

    • @jackattackoutdoors9797
      @jackattackoutdoors9797  4 роки тому +1

      I'd hold out for the Talon. Fitment is really important and a tubeless set up makes a world of difference. At 5'10, I'm shorter than you and ride an 18" frame. Definitely better to get something you can grow into, rather than just having to buy another bike in a couple years. That's just my two cents!

    I wouldn't say there was anything really unique about the trail but it seems alright

    • @jackattackoutdoors9797
      @jackattackoutdoors9797  3 роки тому

      It's all relative. Depends on what you're used to. If you've been riding in the Midwest for example, most trails in FL will seem unique & different. What I was trying to do with this video was highlight the more unique features that stand out in this trail system (compared to most of it which is flat). Wasn't necessarily comparing it to other trail systems.

    You should put your go pro on the front of your helmet so it won’t smack trees just have to change the mount

    • @jackattackoutdoors9797
      @jackattackoutdoors9797  3 роки тому

      I've definitely thought of that! Just seems like my visor would get in the way. Plus I superglued my Gopro mount where it's at on the top of the helmet. Considering upgrading to a gimbal soon anyways though, to get that handlebar point of view. So may not be an issue in the near future.

      In Cape Coral/Ft. Myers, no. If you're willing to drive a bit, yes. Head north - you have Alafia, Balm Boyette, Carter Road, Boldly Go/Live Long & Prosper trails in Venice, all within 2 hours. North - you have Santos. Go east coast, you have Virginia Key, Markham Park, Oleta River, Amelia Earhart all within 2.5 hours. The best resources I've found to look for trails are Singletracks.com (link in this video's description) and Google/UA-cam searches for Florida MTB trails. Hope this helps you find your next ride!
