I've found that pivots work in the sense that they reduce fatigue and resensitize one to training. However, I do think a traditional deload is slightly better in terms of giving connective tissue a break since the lifter is not pushing hard on unfamiliar exercises while already fatigued. Do you think that injury risk is lower when using traditional deloads or do you feel that a properly programmed pivot block is as good?
I experienced with my athletes that during/after a pivot block fatigue wasn't really dropped or maybe a little bit. Instead, they experienced huge doms through the excersice variations. Do you noticed something similar?
@@BrazosValleyBarbell what would you do, if you dropped Volume by 1/2 to 2/3 and Fatigue is still high or rather DOMs are still high? Expand the Pivot by 1 more week?
No deadlifts but squat jerks and overhead squats, front squats back squats. I have to take a lil time off rock climbing rn even tho I was getting novice gains from it bc my shoulders will be beat otherwise. It’s all about my wrists and shoulders but I can always backsquat for paused beltless triples
This is easy the best powerliftingchannel on UA-cam.
Perfect info bro.. day 1 for me on my first experience on a pivot block..awesome guidance between deloads vs pivot
What about volume and intensity? Is it similar to a deload week?

So basically the pivot week is just an opposite of competition stuff. To get a new stimulus, though pivot week would only be applied in off season?
Brazos Valley Barbell thanks for clarifying love the videos man!!
So basically u do what I do for my entire training block from now to March

are you using ES by RTS? big fan
He’s coached directly by Mike T lol
@@KennethBoneth lol :)
Deload = off drug
pivot = changing ester.
Unrelated but How's your injury man? And do you think that you pushed a little hard some variations you're unfamiliar with (like split squats)?
@@BrazosValleyBarbell yes maybe it's just a coincidence. I hope you'll get soon well man and come back stronger!
I fucking hate any kind of single leg exercises
