One as others have pointed out you shoved maliketh in an arena designed for melania the whole fight so some of maliketh's moves couldn't be used, if possible try using both arenas, would make the fights more interesting surely. Second melania got both of her phases but maliketh only got his second phase. I think it may have played out differently if he got his beast phase as well as his maliketh phase since malenia got both of hers. Again awesome video.
@@damiennewton3098 I mean I see that and agree with you at least for the most part. Though beat clergyman is fast as heck and has a bunch of knockdown moves. Melania being a normal human sized person suffers from the plague of being able to be stun locked which beast may even be able to do. I also noticed during the fights that when melania went second stage she gained some health, she didn't keep the health she had prior to transforming. If the same logic applied to beast/maliketh and he had space enough to move around like he's programmed to do, It may be a closer battle that previously thought. Only way to truly know is for a follow up video with these things in mind. I think the main reason we didn't see this is because the mod they are using (or created) only allows for a "summon" of the boss so the bosses with "cutscene transitions" can't see their second phase. So maliketh being the summon wouldn't change from beast because he's "the summon" and melania was the actual boss in game allowing for the second phase. I've seen a few people do things like this but the only one's to see phase two as the "summon" are people like radagon or margit who don't have a cutscene between phases. People like margot, godfrey, etc. don't see phase 2 as the "summon". I could be wrong though. I didn't make or use the mod so I'm not sure. Still would be cool though.

1:53 ah yes malenia's most powerful move. Random chunk of health generation. Also both of them winning twice just shows that is fight is really all luck even if maliketh is not in his stage. @@Moon_Sushie I don't think his attacks have 100 percent chance of applying, I've been hit by his attacks plenty of times without having the debuff apply from it. It's either that he only causes it with certain moves, or it has a hidden buildup like stagger-- but either way, debuffs like that can only be reapplied after they wear off; it's the same reason you can run through poison water when you are afflicted with poison without increasing the dmg it does.
Thats a glitch associated with the destined death, if you use the summon Black Knife Tische then the same thing will happen to the bosses. They regain a quarter of health of the destined death if they aren't hit with anything when the effects wears off
@@oliversaunders2967 there's a reason why Maliketh's 2nd phase isn't a full health bar like Malenia's. imagine Maliketh will have another set of HP in his 2nd phase, most people would be stuck at Crumbling Farum Azula.

Even though this was at Malekith's disadvantage since he was in Melanias arena and couldn't use his full moveset this fits pretty nicely in lore where it says that every other demigod feared Malekith because of destined death and how Malenia is one of the strongest demigods
Move set? Yeah climbing on pillars like a scared cat while that nonsense destined death effect. Atleast melenia has to hit as hard as she can for the max lifesteal. Melenia is the best. Only because she don’t use magic ALL THE TIME like others, pillers or barriers as advantage. She fights face to face.
I also think that tripling their HP was a mistake. It Made malenia stay alive for longer and as consequence, Maliketh stayed more time under scarlet rot (which deals % based damage). With normal health pools, I suspect Maliketh would kill Malenia before Scarlet rot has a significant impact most of the times. It also gave enough time for Malenia to survive Maliketh's debuff and recover hp after the debuff was off. Also, by giving both of them x3 more health, Malenia received +32k bonus HP (58k if you consider both phases!) While Maliketh received only +20k HP. Thats a huge advantage for Malenia

You could say the same about Malenia’s waterfall but I swear Maliketh was better at jumping and looking at the fight he only needs to do the 3 projectile version once to almost win.
Malenia generally only uses her dance after losing the first quarter of her health and then at the last quarter in first phase. In second phase she barely uses it even once, as well as her projection attack move. Basically every move that she uses that gives people malding fits only happens like 3 times and they still Aren’t capable of handling it🤷♂️

Second melania got both of her phases but maliketh only got his second phase. I think it may have played out differently if he got his beast phase as well as his maliketh phase since malenia got both of hers. Again awesome video.
If he used beast clergyman Melania would own him it wouldn’t even be close but I do agree about the arena
@@damiennewton3098 still tho
his first phase won't stand a chance and would also make Malikath second phase start at half hp

Sometimes it obvious if one boss is better than the other but from so many videos I've watched between these two usually one or the other gets completely destroyed. @@bunklypeppz that kinda sucks since he was still hitting her 😕
@@Moon_Sushie I don't think his attacks have 100 percent chance of applying, I've been hit by his attacks plenty of times without having the debuff apply from it. With normal health pools, I suspect Maliketh would kill Malenia before Scarlet rot has a significant impact most of the times. It also gave enough time for Malenia to survive Maliketh's debuff and recover hp after the debuff was off.

Malenia generally only uses her dance after losing the first quarter of her health and then at the last quarter in first phase. Malenia is destined to become goddess, with same power level as Marika.
There is no competition between Maliketh and Rot-Goddess Malenia.
I had a hell of a time with Maliketh, took me less than 1/3 of the attempts of him to kill melania
The fact that Maliketh is one of if not the only boss and main boss that can dodge is insane
I wonder if the battle would've been completely one-sided if they fought in Maliketh's arena. But the demigods were right to fear Maliketh.
I want to see Maliketh vs Radahn, because he wasn't afraid I want of death and even threw a festival for it. But I want to know if even the strongest demi-god feared destined death.
Everyone feared him
@@hugo-pg5tv I know, but Radahn's case is just interesting.
Nah, don't think the arena would have done anything at all
If he had the arena half of his health would have been his first phase... which would have gotten flattened by Malenia
@@indigoblue2378 it would there is a video of him clapping her 3 out of 5 with his first phase and her being in 2nd phase with her phase 1 hp added
@@indigoblue2378 Not really, Wasek already did that video, Maliketh in his arena vs Malenia starting at phase 2 with a health buff so she had both phases' hp, Maliketh won 3 out of 5 rounds.
I don’t find it fair that he is already in second phase! But still great vid and I subbed! Also, this needs a retake at both places!
His first phase is way too weak. So we buff him by allowing him to be full power all the time.
In the first fight when she has no HP left she got instant heal for no reason. It is cheated to win.
Even in the final match, first phase again, she got a sudden big heal at 7:05
The DOT damage of maliketh in some fight doesnt kill her in her first phase either. Biggest example is 7:15. So she get to heal back and he has to land more hit on her
Edit: so the apparently the HP debuff runs out so she get HP back. But still why doesn't she die to any of the DOT in phase 1 despite getting hit half a second ago. If you watch closely, the DOT literally stopped by the moment she had no HP left while the debuff still there.
that's just his debuff on her health wearing off
@@ochozincko9195 7:15 is a clear example. She just got a full combo hit, the effect was still on her and she didn't die until he land the next hit
And in the final fight too which was bs
@@KKKuma DMG literally stopped. She had less than 600 hp and she only regained hp because max health reduction ran out. Maliketh lost. Accept it. He would lose even harder with normal healthbars+with his actual first phase
It's not cheating. The thing is that Destined Death reduces max HP. Once the effect wears off, the HP that was reduced bounces back, making it seem like Malenia healed. You can see the same thing happen if you use Black Knife Tiche against bosses, with their HP seeming to randomly bounce up throughout the fight (it's just Destined Death wearing off).
4:10 it’s so satisfying to See Malenia dodge Malikeths Attacks
Maliketh was Marika's half-brother and there was no demigod who didn't fear him.
Fuck, we finally found a boss that can beat Malenia! And he's not half as broken as she is!
Thats Maliketh baby, the death of teh demigods.
It's so infuriating to see Malenia get wrecked just to heal herself for half her hp with 2 attacks. The total damage dealt would be interesting. I have nothing but despise for Malenia.
Aha same. I feel nothing but contempt for her
I hate her so much, not because of her difficulty, but because i just hate that character, the only thing i like about her is her helmet, even the rest of her set is not interesting to me.
She really didn’t doesn’t even heal that much but keep malding I guess. Don’t know how you’re gonna say her healing is the problem when malikeths ability literally did like over 40 thousand damage.
@@arryn786 Why do you get so defensive over people's criticism of a FICTIONAL character and her design in a VIDEO GAME?
Everyone hates her
bruh how is this a fair comparison, this vid would be worth reuploading with some of the suggestions ppl left
My boy got cheated out of that first win too. Basically had to kill her twice in phase 1
So you have no clue what Maliketh does
Destined Death has a debuff that'll give you back some percentage of lost health.
@@scarlettanguyen2182 When does this happen???
Regardless of Destined Death wearing off or not, Malenia still needs to take an additional 2-3 hits to initiate phase 2 despite having her health pool depleted which is pretty BS.
@@eldensouls9847 You clearly don't in this case... they mean the first round dumdum
This was awesome, these two really needed to beat the shit outta each other. Would've been nice to see Malenia try to behave against Maliketh in his arena if possible. She always cheeses other bosses in Goddess of Rot from with the Rot Shade attack. None of the AI can do anything to her just floating there and they take a ton of damage from the shades and then Malenia herself. Maliketh has so much more potential against her and other bosses being able to traverse properly. I would also like to see the Beast Clergyman from against Malenia's first form then Goddess of Rot vs Black Blade if it gets there.
Here is a video of Malenia without lifesteal vs bosses and she still beats Maliketh in his own arena.

"Malenia. What good is thou siphoning, in the face of Destined Death?"
If this was in Malikaths arena, Malenia would get absolutely buckled. Jumping onto those dumb pillars is a huge part of how he maneuvers.
That last skill she did does so much damage my god
Scarlet Rot
The healing vs destined death dot is pretty interesting to see, but why is malenias scarlet rot dot on maliketh so broken?.. The scarlet rot damage on maliketh is the same as if it was inflicted on a player.
Should’ve used Maliketh’s arena, he wasn’t able to use his pillar moves here
He beats every boss then lol
@@shazamcawdwell3426 He still beats every boss. He only lost the first round because of bugged healing. He won the second and third rounds so I don't know why there was a fourth round.
@@stancurran7265 That's not bugged healing. Is Maliketh's Destined Death effect wearing off. And btw, damage on DD is bugged on Maliketh's part. It overstacks and end up dealing thousands of damage per second for no reason.
Yeah. He didn't use his preferred moveset; 4 Aerial Death Slashes + Spin Dive Slash which deals the most DPS out of his combos.
His pillars are his crutch to use his Leap abilities.
Though to be fair Malenia didn't spam her Watefowl Dance lmao.
It's honestly pretty balanced.
- Malenia's grab doesn't work on him, and that's one of her highest damaging/healing attacks
- her cooldown after Aeonia is long enough for him to dps her mad with his air slashes or his flurries, which have enough range to prevent him from being rotted too quickly
They both don't have their kit advantages they'd usually have over the player. The pillars might make it too skewed in Maliketh's favour
anyone else noticed how malenia survived round 1 like 2 or 3 times even tho her hp shouldve been at 0?
Do Elden beast vs astel. Both very big
Or Morgott vs mohg
Big elden beast. BEEG BEEG BEEG
I feel like Round 2 was the most lore-accurate portrayal of what a straight-up fight between them would most likely be like. A mutual KO.
