This stretches the concept of canal time to an impossible degree. You and Jono have just been through Droitwich and Astwood locks in glorious sunshine with dew on the roses a mere three weeks after I passed the same in gloom with the Severn and Salwarpe closed due to high waters (mid-late Oct). I think a tardis must be involved. I bet Jono is the other side of Birmingham by now. And you’ve only just said goodbye! Wonderful videos. Very cheering during the November gloom.
There is always a gap between our travel and when the video of that travel is released. We have to have time to edit, etc.
Loved watching Molly run around.....she definitely look like she had a wonderful time.❤❤

Very enjoyable and you can't help smiling when you see Molly haring up and down the towpath. I don't know what the scores were, but that scoreboard's got more fiddles than an orchestra violin section.
I think we were all winners in the end ;-)

Another great vid. It warms the cockles of me heart watching my two favourite intrepid gals carousing the waterways and adopting unsuspecting nomadic boatsmen and their adorable canines. Makes magical viewing. I've even started watching Jono's channel now!

The Narrow Journey with Jono Experience has been a great series. I liked you explanation of the lock paddles, I guess that means opening the first paddle earns more points than opening second.

Wow, at 12 minutes, I see Molly at the edge above the lock I think getting a drink...… Our Molly, (Golden Retriever), did the same on the Trent & Mersey just after we collected our boat and fell in, trouble is, it was above the top gate with both paddles open filling the lock !!!! Luckily it all ended well.

The single life on a narrow boat can be lonely, although I think a lot of us also crave the peace that comes with solitude. As a balance, there is a community inter-alia, both physically and through the Internet, that enhances our journeys. There is a common spark. What folk like you, Jono, et al do is reinforce this bond and make it tangible. So, thank you. You make a difference. Hugely entertaining, informative and fun too.

As a young child I remember the locks on the Fox River in Wisconsin located near our home. It was wonderful fun watching boats passing though them during the summer months. Sadly the locks are now welded shut and they have been closed for many years. For all I know the locks could have been totally destroyed by now.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this co-series, I would dearly love to see it happen again next spring/summer on a different set of canals. Our family is going to experience our first "Narrowboat Experience", see what i did there.... next August and we are watching and learning with both of your channels. Lovely to see you all so happy but Jono 30 odd locks is no hardship, I bought a boat from Spain back Felixstowe up the river Rhone where I had to come through two locks with a hundred foot lift then up the river Saone and through the canals of France to Calais then across the Chanel and up the north sea to Felixstowe. There was a mere 273 locks all told so I hope you do the 30 odd locks in a day. Good luck and all the best to all three of you I thoroughly enjoy traveling with you.

Do you ever pause and think about how many narrow boats have traveled the same path over the couple of hundred years they have existed.
I often think about the working boats back in the day, especially when we go through areas with lots of locks or under old bridges that still have the rope marks from the horses. Or when going under tunnels!

Kudos to Jono for attempting the Tardebigge flight (which is BTW only (?!) 30 locks in total) on his own. The four of us tackled these in just a day back in Oct. '17 which was great fun but clearly a lot easier with so many of us able to go ahead to set the next lock every time. I'm curious about one thing though ladies - where are you going to get your boat blacked ??
We are counting the 6 locks between where we moored as well as the Tardebigge flight. And he’s not technically tackling it on his own...
@@TheNarrowboatExperience Ah fair enough. We stopped overnight after those first few locks so did the whole flight on one day apart from the very top lock. We were advised to moor there rather than at the very top.
I've finally remembered who Anna reminds me of! Remember Ann Aston from The Golden Shot with Bob Monkhouse? Of course that was a donkey's age ago (Yes... I'm that old!)

Minds in Australia Hearts in UK ATM My Partners mum and dad are in Lytham and dads not traveling to well so chance we are in UK within next month Funny that watching Molly play is just like Georgie about same age and just as mischievous
