I am doing some spring cleaning and decided to change out my area carpets (I store the spring/summer carpets under our bed). I wanted to clean one of the carpets so I referred to UA-cam and long and behold I too spent way too much time watching these videos. But the best part of this video is reading the comments left but my fellow brethren. I laughed and laughed. Thanks people. Is this a great country or what?
Thanks so much for showing me how to clean my rug at home. I went out and bought all the supplies in this video, and rented a warehouse space for the weekend and it only cost about $6000! I didn't know where to find a Jehovah Witness to clean it for me but I think I did OK.
Is it weird i wouldn’t mind taking a side job cleaning rugs? Just so i can be the one to use the rake looking tool to brush off the access water. Because that part looks satisfying asf 😩😩
Great vid. I just cleaned our wool rug nearly the same way. Soaking and squeegee several times is really 90% of the finish work. Wool rugs absorb so much dirt you have to soak press out all the build-up of grime. It's actually quite gross how much dirt comes out. Then drying...what a pain. More squeezy and hitting it with strong fans is necessary. I like how you guys use turbo fans to run air underneath. That's a much better process that flipping the rug over. Even mildly damp wool rugs are very heavy and hard to turn.
What type of shampoo/conditioner do you use on your wool rugs. Regular cleaners seem to be quite alkaline, in having a tough time finding the proper acidic cleaner?
@@raybois is it a rubber squeegee? Like a floor squeegee? None of the hardware stores here have anything but rubber or foam ones which do not glide well on the rugs like that. I live in the US not sure where you live. But have been trying to find one all over and can’t. I can import a protima one from Poland but that’s gonna cost me over $200 and I can’t do that. I may have to try and make one out of wood I think. I don’t know. So frustrating. I just want a good squeegee for my videos.
Dan, Haha! I *really* wanted to find out *how* to clean my rug..... But I've got to go back to the "do it yourself" with the water hose/pressure washer vids..... I don't have *any* of this equipment......... I wonder what type of solution he cleaned that rug with, and he didn't say. I still enjoyed watching!
Nice! Ill just rent a giant warehouse... create a water draining pool big enough to fit my carpet... get a hose long enough to reach said pool... get a giant squeegee...then just clean my junk to my hearts content. Buy a new rug. Thanks for the "proper way" video.
Stephen Woods The filter is inbourne in the bag and as an industrial vacuum it’s significantly stronger than the heap cyclone commercially available vacuums
I was really wondering *how* on earth he was keeping his shoes dry with those booties on.... aren't *all* booties *PAPER* booties? I was thinking that he needed REAL *boots* on ~~ Ya know, like *plastic* rain boots.......

This is UA-cam/The Internet... not a country
Finn,
Are you *sure* about that?
Haha
This is like my 20th rug cleaning video I’ve watched. What has my life become
Tlingit1990 L. OMG< I was just thinking the same thing. It’s Saturday night and I’m watching crap like this.
Tlingit1990 L.
Where ever this life is taking you, we probably meet there.
By the sound of your YT handle you should be out land getting ready for winter cousin! Not watching YT. Haha.
It's very satisfying to watch.
Tlingit1990 L. You are not alone...
It's the extra details like the shoe coverings during the excess water removal that really impress me about your process. Keep up the great work.
It's been a week and i still dont kno how i ended up looking at rug cleaning videos. Any support groups out there for people addicted to these videos?
I wish I can clean my rug like that
Sumeera Mohamed I wish I could afford a wool rug like that! Lol
These videos are so addicting, it has now become a habit that I watch this atleast 4 to 5 times a day while chewing ice.
Morgan Watson they're oddly relaxing
I scratch my tongue with my teeth. I feel less weird now lol
i do the exact same thing 😱
@@kendrashaw164 when i first saw your comment i read "i scratch my tongue with my feet" i cant nsndjd

Mormon.
@@sharksport01, I am a Mormon and I am cleaning my own.
Amazing! What a thorough and complete cleaning. I would definitely take my rugs to your place if I lived there!

Big sqeegy
weird cuz it doesn't look anything but pure frustration to me
You can practice on my husband's back.
Thank you so much for showing how a rug is “properly” cleaned!

What bristle type attachment on rotary scrubber should I use on the rug? It won't damage the pile?
My carpet has jute cloth layer stiched at base and its made of wool, will washing thoroughly as you show not spoil my carpet
Step 19. Take clean rug home and roll all over it.
What kind of preconditioning products you use in total for cleaning rugs?
I seen alot of rug washing vids so far the Russian lobousky guy is winning all videos
wow, there are so many steps! I had no idea.
Nice vid. Thanks. Caveat being dragging the buffer cord through the water. Even though the unit might be protected, that was a bad move. Cheers.
Holy crap 😆
Now how in the hell am i supposed to do that in my living room!!!! 😭
how do you keep the colors from running?
Never new how much went in to cleaning one of these Turkish carpets!!
What's the estimated cost for such a cleaning?
With or without the music?
@@sharksport01 no music, I'm on a budget
@@robertcoggin3366 That's great! LOLOLOL!!
How do yo drain the water out of the pool?
Watching this was weirdly relaxing.

What if you don't have all this equipment to clean your rug, how do you clean it at home?
What products do you use to clean the rug?
Is it incorrect to use a roller brush machine, such as the bissell big green?
Where did you get that squeegee? To scrape the water off the rug?
Large hardware stores all have them...

I don't mind your approach a centifuge would be easier than the rug claw an extraction but in the end it's all the same approach

where is the before and after at the end?
How much did you charge for this
Great if you have a "wash pit".
Was this area rug 100% wool? would anything change in the cleaning process if it was shag wool with much longer fibers? TIA
also was that a traditional rubber floor squeegee you used to remove excess water? or is there a special attachment?
What is the measurement of the carpet
that's a beautiful rug.
How much does it cost to have a 4x6 wool rug washed like this?
I priced my 8x10 and it was like $600, so that's my excuse for watching the video
Great job.
I find those videos interesting to watch.
não pode secar no ´sol , ou aí não faz sol?
someone said not to use a vacuum brush on wool rugs, damage to the pile.
The Fringe ?
Hello, all materials carpet can be washed? And you how to dry it?
Okay, I guess this where you insert an ad for a professional cleaner!
Wow. Great process. What do you charge per square foot in 2019? Is your procedure standard in the industry?
It is with real professional cleaners. If they clean it at your house, you're just getting a top/light cleaning.
You had me until you stepped into a shallow pool of water with a 12 amp rug buffing machine
why the hell is he doing this in half a suit ?
RED BEARD lmfao
RED BEARD there’s nothing wrong with being classy....
How much do you charge for this cleaning? Maybe worth buying a wool "area rug" (cracking up from SNL area rug routine...)

Thanks for the "proper way" video.
Exactly why I don’t permit shoes in my house with my nice wool rug from Iran.
Step 17: contingent upos passing step 16
What does that mean? 🤔
Satisfying video!
Hallo. Why is it important to wrap it in craft paper, and not store it in plastic cylindrical bag?
Who else wants to see what they're hiding behind the portable partitions?
Are the Jehovah Witness cleaning rugs now?
lmfao
Mormons
High school science teachers.
nothing wrong with good honest work...
You just had to go there, dintcha? 😹
step one put rug in car, step two take it to a pro and get a pro to do it . step three wait. step four pay and get back rug. 5 put it back on floor.
I thought wool carpets can't really be wet like that.
The trick is to dry them out fast, hence the fans. The chemicals they use inhibit mildew.
Awesome
Is that Elder Cunningham from the Book of Mormon? Lol good work either way.
I give up the idea of cleaning carpet by myself after watching this video.
peter griffin got his act together
The only time you should put water on an expensive oriental rug is if you hate the person who owns it.
good job
Why am I enjoying watching this? and tapping in time to the repetitive music..get a life!
A rather old fashioned vacuum with no hepa filter.
Stephen Woods The filter is inbourne in the bag and as an industrial vacuum it’s significantly stronger than the heap cyclone commercially available vacuums
White socks??
Hola
Is he dressed for the video or thats how to dress to clean carpets
They should've had the actual worker do this for the video, not the salesman
Obviously tha salesman was a cleaner before he got promoted...
fringe is still dirty and yellow
I just learned that some fringes come tea stained and so will not be bright white or just white.
I'm responding after 10 months ..... what does that tell you?
