Followed along with you thru this whole ordeal. Crazy last few days. Glad to hear that you are good. Have family that are south of you. They got hit harder.
At the time I Said that part we weren't supposed to get hit by anything but the bands. I was also trying to keep things light and positive. Definitely wasn't expecting the eye to pass over me
Yep, they have a tendency of catching us off guard. I was watching radar and saw wind gusts of 200+ as the leading eyewall was creeping toward you. It has flooded a lot of central Florida more than I have seen EVER. I’ve been here since 1985 and the amount of water it left behind even after slowing to a cat one by the time it made it here is truly amazing. Continue to stay safe out there as we clean up.
Glad you are fine. Got to use your power box build when big winds left me without power for 3 days. But you never say where you are in florida! The storm was "about 50 miles north" of just about everyone in the state of florida.
Hey man I’m glad you made it through, things could have been much worse all the way around. I got pretty worried there for a little, had water come 3/4 of the way up my driveway in less than 2 minutes when we started to get the back half of the storm. Got my heart pumping pretty fast I’ll admit.
The back half was insane. It was stupid of me but I sat in My shed the last hour holding it down. It made it the entire storm just fine until that last hour when the wind changed. I wasn't loosing it at that time.
@@JDSOutdoors yeah gotta say some of those power lines over your way look rough, there were a bunch off Chiquita, the large cement ones that were literally snapped in half. Stay safe
@@jonasj333 oh dam. Yea I haven't gone any further than 1.5 miles from my house since Wednesday just to give emergency personal room etc. But in other news half of my neighborhood has power that just came on 30 min ago. So hopefully my house will be tomorrow
Extremely blessed. What city are you in? We were considering the Naples area, love it there, but not sure I can handle the expense on retired pay. All the best. Blessings for all.
Solid report/post brother. Well done on your preps and keeping it together. Everydays a school day. Bullet dodged though I think, go buy a lottery ticket. I know your region is pretty low lying but what are you above sea level? Sending positive vibes from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thanks for update, stay safe
Praying for all of you there in the path.🙏🙏
Gotta love the predator 3500 genny. I have two and they always start and run great.
Really glad y’all got so lucky!

The eye went over us but the surge hit the lower areas harder. I got lucky I'm high enough up
Glad you made it through our little thunderstorm ok. Thoughts and prayers going out to those less fortunate.

@@JDSOutdoors I can’t blame you but can’t suggest to do that again either 😂, we just got power back, hopefully yours is back soon if it’s not already.
@@jonasj333 yea def wasn't smart but that's my power right now lol. We won't have power for at least another week they say

We are in cape coral just north of Naples.
@@JDSOutdoors, beautiful area. Praying for all.
Glad y’all are good. Did the wind push the 150 that far or did you move it since your live videos?
The wind pushed the truck on the driveway 2' back was all.
Hang in there, things are looking up. Can you remove the straps from your shed to get more from the solar panels?
Absolutely I finally got that done yesterday and wiped them off as well

@@JDSOutdoors glad you guys are high and dry.
Now the real question is would you rather deal with a hurricane once in a while or the shitty winters of Minnesota year after year after year??
I'd take a winter over that any day
