What did you put on top? I asume you used puzzle glue on the seperate big pieces so you could move them in one piece on the board? Also what glue did you use underneath? I'm making Retrospect (32.000) and hope to be finished in 7 years :)
I use adhesive contact paper sheets for the back of the puzzle sections. Then i get MDF sheets from the hardware store and use PVC glue to stick the sheets to the MDF in sections. On top was a large polycarb sheet i think it was 5mm thick
@@AndreF Thanks for the reply! I finished my puzzle in September and just tore it down. Since the joint lines where pure white it was hell to find the perfect match and I was fed up with it. I didn't have any space to hang it anyway, until a month later I joined an Archery club and they have the perfect empty wall :D THey have the puzzle now, but I don't think they will ever make/finish it.

Hallo im just finishing my life puzzle and wantto install it in my clinic can u give me some tips about the wood u use to hang it on and if it holded for lond the second thing what gleu to stick it on it and how u hanged it... ? How to have an answer as your installation is one of the cleanest around
I normally use adhesive contact sheets for the back of the puzzle sections. Then i get MDF sheets from the hardware store and use PVC glue to stick the sheets to the MDF in sections. For large puzzles to fix to the wall i screw the MDF sheets into the structure timber beams in the walls first before gluing the puzzle sections on. Good luck!
We actually just completed this puzzle ourselves and intend to hang it. I'd like to find out what Andre used to cover the puzzle. We've glued it but as the puzzle comes in 10 sections, I'd like to not glue each section together as 1 giant puzzle in case we move someday. I'd like to be able to disassemble the 10 larger pieces and take it with us. I've been looking on the internet for plexiglass thinking that is what he used, but cannot find anything larger than 96" so far. We've got roughly 30 puzzles hanging in our home, this will be the largest, but just need to figure out the best way to do it. Our next and last "big" puzzle project is going to be the 18,000 piece Sistine Chapel puzzle, and I intend to mount it on our ceiling in our front room (24' ceiling). I'll hire a scissor lift or something to do that installation. If anyone has any ideas for the covering, or if Andre could respond, that would be great.
Congrats Mike. I purchased a large polycarbonate sheet that covered the whole puzzle. 4.5mm thick x 5700mm x 1570mm from a local sheeting factory in Sydney.
I’d say he custom made it and probably used a thick hard plastic sheet to cover it (the jigsaw was stuck in place with glue) (this reply is two years late I’m so sorry p)
I found the installation more satisfying to watch than the puzzle part lol
So much quicker, and to see the finished result is the best!
One of the coolest things I have seen in a while, great idea!
Yay! So beautiful. Never would have thought to put it in the floor.
I'm just stunned... this is an incredible peace of work (and it looks incredible)
Thats a nice idea.
WOW!!!!!! I love that idea. Wish i saw this before i got rid of my carpet and put floor boards down
eagerly awaiting your return puzzle man
Never thought to install it on the floor, interesting choice
Wow, this is just an amazing idea

Next is the Educa 42,000 Piece, Around the World, Puzzle
Check out the 6000 piece puzzle we did: ua-cam.com/video/JxoUzHDl4Ew/v-deo.html
А больше бывают?
Сергей Степанов, я нашёл только на 33 600 и 32 000 кусочков. Видимо ещё больше нету, пока что)
есть на 42000 www.ozon.ru/context/detail/id/145139950/
Why the hell would you put this on the floor instead of the wall ?
why would you install that ugly ass thing ANYWHERE?
Easier, probably cheaper, and way cooler.
George Brooks its a solved jigsaw puzzle with like 300000 pieces that took 9 months to assemble. id hang it lol
Maybe he doesn't have a wall that long in his house with no windows....
