  • How to approve a Facebook visitor's posts (2017 Facebook)
If your page has been set up to approve posts before they are visible on your Facebook page, this quick and easy, step-by-step video tutorial shows you how to use Settings to make posts waiting for approval visible so that they display publicly on your page's Visitor Posts panel.
If set to approval necessary, a Facebook page visitor's post will not show until you approve their post using this method.
(If you're confident that you do not need approval, you can set your page to allow all visitors' posts for automatic approval via Settings.)
Video useful? :-) Even a small donation is welcome paypal.me/Channeltime

Thank goodness for this video - sometimes Facebook is so difficult to use. And if I approve a post, why doesn't it appear on the main page?

Fantastic, thanks so much. You make this really clear. I can't thank you enough. I was getting really frustrated. Only Facebook can have TWO Settings and TWO Activity Logs each showing different things. Thanks SO much.

I was able to follow these directions in approving a post, however now that it's been approved it's nowhere to be found. My biz FB page does not display Visitor Posts section on my page. I saw another video where her section was on the left side, yours is on the right. I have neither. The only settings I see is in controlling the approval of posts before they are seen. How can i get the whole section of Visitor Posts to appear on my wa..

Although your comment is a year old, I wanted to answer what I just now finally figured out (facebook developers are annoying in how they do things).
On the left side of your page it shows a links like, Home, Events, Reviews, etc. Click on the link for "Posts". Only then will you be able to see "Visitor Posts" (it will now show you the right hand side, but only when you're viewing this "Post" page. Hope that helps!

Wow - they made that as complex as possible didn't they!
Is there any way to know when there is something waiting for approval, or do we just have to do this ritual every day for every page?

For some reason, visitor posts on my FB page don't show up in the side column either :(

This only covers normal pages, personal pages. Not business pages. I have notifications set for needing approval only on my business page and when I was notified that I had a post to approve, I clicked the notification and it allowed me to read it and reply, but no where is there a setting to allow it. Only to move it to main folder and mark as done. Seems like all the idiots working for facebook don't use facebook so have zero clue what they're doing.

I have the same problem. My activity log only shows my personal activity, not the page's so I'm stuck in Groundhog Day trying to find the activity for the business page.

@@RomySommer I have had my business page (just for my piano videos) for a couple of years now and never saw one. Facebook doesn't reply either other than just saying "Thanks for your feedback" nonsense. I did however figure out how to find my post to approve, or where it goes after. It was in my inbox. I read it but didn't see anything to approve. I moved it to whatever folder by clicking "Done" in the top right corner (on PC, not mobile) and then went searching. In the left column you should have a link for Community and if you click that you will see their post if it was successfully approved. You can also click the link for "Posts" and it will turn up in a small column on the right side (not sure on mobile). Let me know if you're trying to do something different and maybe I can help. I've had lots to learn over the last couple of years so might know some answers.
