The cheek blocks are in a different place on port and starboard, because the winchs both rotate clockwise. The lead for the Genoa sheet will be longer on one side.😊

Great video, and really interesting to see some detail of how beneteau does the hardware such as stanchion bases. I tried to peer at the holes when you pulled them and the waste fitting out but hard to tell if beneteau had balsa where they are and if so if beneteau had gouged out the core and filled the space with resin. Like you're supposed to....your thoughts? Thanks for the great video. So happy to see your core all dry. Phew.
Great comment! Unfortunately Beneteau, in this instance had NOT gouged out the balsa core and properly waterproofed the through deck fittings. That was left to the poor suckers who purchased the boat 20 years later. A very time consuming part of the process we left out of the video.
I hate teak decks... so well done taking the very HUGE decision to take it out! Shame about the Cat... it looked like a never ending task bringing her back to life. P
