Imagine getting threats of mutilation while also being sexually assaulted and beaten by a big buff guy.. T REX I disagree. I think the fact that they did finally take him down is evidence that they weren't stupid. They were just waiting for the right opportunity.
I think Arnaud might have declined the American's offer simply because he didn't believe them. After all, they had tried to lay claim to the island before and had just invaded Veracruz so maybe he thought it was a ploy to get them off the Island.

"He died of scurvy."
Fitting.
.
Love these videos, I cannot stop binge watching at work! Only during lunch of course...
Now we need a channel run by Simon that is focused on animals
And he has to wear the Zebra Mask in every video!
I love all your channels Simone! You provide tons of entertainment and knowledge.
How about Oak Island, Canada (The money pit)? Great work guys!
That would be pretty fascinating.
👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Another awesome adventure with Simon!! Loved it!
God damn I love these weird islands in the pacific.
Great to see a piece on Clipperton atoll. Captain John Clipperton was a distant ancestor of mine. He was indeed a Privateer rather than a Pirate. As far as I knew it was unlikely he ever landed on the atoll.
Simon, you and your team do a great job of bringing historical and other knowledge that we'd otherwise never know about. Keep up the good work. Some of it is really gruesome but important to know: Such as Nazinsky Island.
It took me for ever to actually watch the video. I kept rewinding the advertisement which plays before this video. The video of Clipperton Island is definitely interesting. Thanks Simon. 👍

Stalin: "how cute..."
Simon,Simon, Simon I can't get enough of your incredible channels!!!!
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
It is know for sport fishing from the long range fishing fleets either out of San Diego or when the fleet moves south to Los Cabos.
Im shitty that BUSINESS BLAZE isnt getting enough views, its a good channel Simon, keep it up.
Listening to all the talk of guano, I am invariably reminded of the Nauru Tower in Honolulu, which I refer to now as the Tower That Poop Built.
This is one of my favorite episodes. Thanks
lmao if I'm on an Island with a super buff dude and he declares himself King ima make sure he doesn't wake up the next morning
Right??!! An island fulls of sharp rocks!!!!............yeah mr.king will never see the morning.............
dat Pianoguy You're not three women trying to keep yourselves and a bunch of children alive after he locked all the weapons away and threatened to mutilate anyone who defied him. Improvising could have left those children at the mercy of someone who was clearly not a good man.
@@CanItAlready 3 malnutritioned women*
They probably wouldn't even be able to lift a decent sized rock..
@T REX No, they were scared. Scared of making a move that would make everything even worse for them. Imagine getting threats of mutilation while also being sexually assaulted and beaten by a big buff guy.. I'm glad they managed to survive though, but the pain from the whole experience must have followed them through their whole lives..
T REX I disagree. I think the fact that they did finally take him down is evidence that they weren't stupid. They were just waiting for the right opportunity.
What an amazing story. I hope the survivors enjoyed long and good lives.
I think Arnaud might have declined the American's offer simply because he didn't believe them. After all, they had tried to lay claim to the island before and had just invaded Veracruz so maybe he thought it was a ploy to get them off the Island.
Thank you sooo much for videos. They’re very informative and interesting. I’m sure you’ll be getting a lot more viewers in the coming months because of the Coronavirus lockdowns, so keep up the good work, we’re going to need all the entertainment and distraction from our situation available.
How many more channels do you want to open?
Seriously, Simon, do you even sleep anymore?
How many more channels!?! All of them!!!😠
He's got clones doing some channels.
He'll deny it of course but don't ve fooled.
There are 5 or 6 Simons now.
Love this channel! The topics are fascinating and the hosts delivery is listenable. That to me trumps content.
