I love this. I’m no longer at FTF, been gone for about a year, but you hit this on the nail. SVP was my first ever attempt at a course and a decent intro to transitions, but definitely not all-inclusive haha. Love the honesty man! Glad this popped up in my recommendations.

OH MY GOODNESS!! I had to subscribe. I love this so much. NOW I WANT YOU TO TRAIN ME. ONLINE ONE ON ONE. Beginner to Advanced. Cinematography, Editing. Let me know how to reach you.
As a professional filmmaker and new-ish UA-camr, I understand where Joseph is coming from. I think this is a great course for people brand new to filmmaking and video creation but in the info age, I’d say just UA-cam anything you want to know. If you know nothing about filmmaking, buy the course. If you are a working filmmaker; I love Fulltime Filmmaker and his no BS straight to the point and yea, no course is perfect. At some point you start getting into Arri Alexa Mini, Red Weapon, why you should demand 4.2.2 12 bit, 10gb transfer speed, what is Nuke in relation to editing, should I over crank or under crank? What is a vertigo dolly in shot? There’s SO much to filmmaking at the pro level. Having worked with Warner Brothers, what does an associate producer do? The answer: who knows, associate producer is a vague term (it’s a real job) but often given to people who want to be a Hollywood producer versus an executive producer who are the money people; never piss off EPs. So I would say go into this course for what it is. It does have priceless info but know that you have to really look at your skill level and decided if this course is going to help you level up or is this course something you have surpassed. Joseph Garcia though has some amazing FREE content that I’m really impressed by and actually learned from. Watch all his stuff first then go back to Peter but subscribe to Peter because his free content on his channel is the true gold.❤❤ Love all you! Keep creating!
Great Video, I was about to pull the trigger on this FTF full course .. but ive been self learning for a few years now and this has shown me I wouldn't get much value form this £1000 course . I have money in the bank and I want to spend it educating my self to the next level, ive not started with after effects yet and was looking at Kolder Creative..but im not sure if this is all cool effects and minimal content.. I sell my own online course teaching Spray Plaster so I know the work that goes into them. if you could check my channel out and advise me where to go next as far as learning more and improving id love that
FTF was best investment I made in my beginnings. Funfact - I asked one of the closest members from the course map if its worth (in the 30 day trial time) and for this filmmaker I was able to go on a project later which brought me the money back for the course :) And they always bring new content, thats amazing!
As an advanced self taught shooter I always doubted this was much I could learn from this. This confirms it. Especially when they don't really specialize in any thing and I could tell nothing would be too in depth.
I think it’s best for new people, just bought a camera excited for this line of work people. I personally am also very skeptical of UA-camrs selling courses cause it’s always a cash grab and you can tell where they have one or two really good ideas. But then add a bunch of fluff and every time I saw those ads it immediately was like naah. I’m sure it’s not a scam but it’s probably also something that could have been a UA-cam series rather than a big ol paywall course. He’s a smart business man but there’s more than enough free UA-cam content out there to get you going vs putting up more money on top of the money you used to buy the gear. Appreciate you taking the time to do this for my sheer curiosity every time I saw those ads
"Boom, transition to the same place" hahaha Man, I don't know who you are but I'm so glad UA-cam served this video to me today. Your personality (and camera/storytelling techniques) are FANTASTIC. Even wearing the Rode mic on a necklace (which i've been trying to figure out how to hide) is dope af. I see this video is a year old, so I KNOW your new stuff must be ridiculous. Looking forward to following along 👏
You put a crap ton of work into this video and it shows. Thanks for taking one for the team and making it count. The only thing I am left wanting is a dedicated cholo guitarist channel.😂
I agree. He definitely worked hard on this video and it looks so good. I wonder how much time he spent on this video not including the hours of watching the videos.
@@JosephGarcia That's what people don't realize when they watch a video like this: You put a whole dang work week into it. You're one of my top 10 favorite UA-cam channels, and every time I check your sub count I shake my head and think "That just ain't right."
@@AdventuresInVideo he’ll get there. Like you said, the amount of work he puts in “shows, those things don’t go unnoticed forever. I’ve been following him for a while and his content is getting better and better, he’s a natural entertainer… it will pay off.
There is never a perfect course. In order to really learn, you must be willing to buy many courses, read many books, etc. Also, there is no such thing as perfect so from a mature perspective, it is a great course that comes with a great community.
Hello Joseph, I wanted to leave this comment here. I remember that a while a go I left a critical comment on your channel, and I wanted to let you know that lately you’ve been making banger content! I really appreciate it man

I'm of the opinion that no paid course is worth the money, when you can learn so much for free on YT, but Parker's stuff is definitely on the better end of that. Nice work on the video.
I have been in FTF for about a 8 months, the content in there is time-saving, and straight to the point for an intermediate and beginner. Watching your video when out of nowhere, the ad of this course comes up. Great vid!
wow...what a great video! It is so entertaining. Thank you so much.
This was awesome. Could you also do a review on 90 day film maker/tomorrows film maker too???
You got a like from me with the “you guys suck at retention” 😆
So hype you mentioned ycimaging mans is the goat
Its worth it alone just for the adobe student pricing. I don't know if i missed you say this, but that is an overlooked value. That has saved me easily a $1,000 alone which is worth the price of the course. If I didn't have that, i don't think i could afford the adobe suite.
Thank you 🙏🏻
this man's energy on another level😂
