You answered sooooo many questions I had. The realization that my carrots, my small carrots, at three months weren't done yet is wonderful news. I was thinking I did something wrong. And all of the info on the flavor of carrots, etc. - super info. Just found your channel and am very glad. Thanks!

This is my first try at carrots. I sewed the seeds 2 weeks ago and put a board over them. I am in zone 8, so I hope they will make before it gets too hot. East Texas gets warm in the spring, summer and fall.

Same here in FL. Just harvest before your average monthly temperatures go over 85F.

I’m in East Texas also and planted mine too late last year and they also didn’t get full sun. This time I planted them in Fall and they’re doing so much better! I look forward to harvesting them early spring this coming year. ☺️I went with Danvers and Tendersweet. It’s my first time growing Danvers and I’m excited that they’re growing so well so far. ☺️I’ve learned a lot from this channel! 👍🏻I am so happy with them I may plant more into a 20 gallon grow bag as a succession planting.

Hi there. I’m in 5b and I planted a late fall crop last year. They are still alive!! After two buzzards and below freezing temps this winter I went and checked them. They are tiny but still green. Only about an inch high. I figured they went dormant in the cold. But holy cow they are still green. I’m very excited to see what happens when it warms up.

Oh wow! Very interesting. Did you cover them with anything during the blizzard?

Do you have 3 different beds filled with just compost so you can rotate beds? If yes, what do you rotate with? Meaning what other crops do well in just compost?

Thank you for sharing such valuable information. Do you ship to Puerto Rico?

by the cheapest bag of compost from Home Depot are you talking Black Cow? Did you fill the entire bed with compost or mix it with potting soil?

The cheapest compost I find at Home Depot is a white and yellow colored bag that is not Black Cow. Its like $3.67 each. Not all Home Depot's carry this brand though from what my viewers tell me. The point is, that you can use cheap compost to fill your beds and it is ok. I dont mix with anything, just compost.
