Great way to use up scraps. 👍👍 I took some boards from the bed of a 1969 dump truck, very rough, and cut three layers and epoxied them with coffee grounds mixed in and it turned out amazing.
Very nice. It looks like you squared up the edges from the original rounded shape. Looking at a craft show this past weekend, plain vanilla turnings like this would sell for less money than turnings from fancy wood. I would rather sell ten like this than had expensive turnings gathering dust at the shop.
Thanks for the compliment. Yes, I've seen these kinds of bowls (i.e. ones made from construction timber) go quite quickly at fairs due to cheap price... Glad you liked the vid!
Standard KD (kiln dry) is fine. If it has a green tint to it, it is pressure treated. The old pressure treated is toxic. New pressure treated are fine for garden beds. I still would turn pressure treated
Nice work
Great video 👍👍👍😎
I am a home improvement contractor, you have no idea how many scraps I have. You just added to my collection of things to make when I have time.
Thanks Len! Yup, finding or making time (for me anyway) is a lot more harder.
Super

Awesome recycling! Glad you liked the vid.
Nice video, I just started turning and wondered if i could turn pine that was glued together. You answered my question. New subscriber. Thanks.

Nice piece, I really like the striped look. Please don't take this the wrong way, if you want more subscribers, lose the music. 😎
thanks for the tip... was thinking the same thing.
Isn't treated lumber toxic?
Yes generally is, but if treated and sealed with food safe wax, then should be ok.

Woodturning with gloves on? Basic safety dictates to never wear gloves in case they get caught somehow!
