  • Had a couple of spare 2x4” 2.4m construction timber/lumber.
Cut it up in to equal 16” lengths and then glued em together.
Turned my biggest bowl yet - 15” pine bowl with my new fantastic Record Power Regent lathe.
Bowl great for serving nachos or whatever!!
    Great entry for the kitchen.

I am a home improvement contractor, you have no idea how many scraps I have. You just added to my collection of things to make when I have time.

Thanks Len! Yup, finding or making time (for me anyway) is a lot more harder.

    Isn't treated lumber toxic?

Yes generally is, but if treated and sealed with food safe wax, then should be ok.

Standard KD (kiln dry) is fine. If it has a green tint to it, it is pressure treated. The old pressure treated is toxic. New pressure treated are fine for garden beds. I still would turn pressure treated

Nice piece, I really like the striped look. Please don't take this the wrong way, if you want more subscribers, lose the music. 😎

Woodturning with gloves on? Basic safety dictates to never wear gloves in case they get caught somehow!
