Great way to use up scraps. 👍👍 I took some boards from the bed of a 1969 dump truck, very rough, and cut three layers and epoxied them with coffee grounds mixed in and it turned out amazing.

I am a home improvement contractor, you have no idea how many scraps I have. You just added to my collection of things to make when I have time.

Looks good for your 1st attempt. The one thing I can say is use caution when using gloves. You put your hand on the chuck, should that catch you could brake or even loose a finger. No I am not an experienced turner. But as a production manager for metal shops, I have scene many accidents happen that way.
