Two things: 1) If your spells keep hitting a wall, you can switch your catalyst to your other hand and it’ll stop that. 2) you did more damage to Gwyn because you caught him mid jump; you did counter damage.

Now if a weapon has counter damage of 160 (Chaos blade...) The weapon does 60% more damage than it normally does if you get a counter hit. Its why people use the chaos blade with full Havel's, they are trying to poise through your attack to get a counter hit on you for crazy damage.''
you can skip asylum by throwing black fire bombs on asylum demon then quit out run away from the boss to the safe spot on the left and oscar should give you the key and the asylum demon should be alive (it doesnt really matter tho just thought you should know) love the vid!
A way to not kill the asylum demon is to kill it with black firebombs (or your fists) and then quit out as soon as you kill it before you see the you win text and then go to Oscar and get the key to leave without really killing the demon

It was a fun challenge. Besides Ornstein and Smough I was expecting it to be a bit harder
smoughs armor along with karmic retribution, gravelord greatsword dance and wrath of the gods really helped me take Gwyn down in my miracle only run
I forgot all about Karmatic Retribution! That combo sounds super smart actually. Would have love to have seen it done

Spell casting times get reduced by levelling dexterity.

That's a pretty good idea for later runs.
I thought about using Black Firebombs original but really needed that key to get around the Taurus Demon
