I was gonna say, what does a car shortage have to do with Canada? The shortage was global, more or less. We prob get more car theft incidents bc we (Toronto) have a tendency to drive nicer cars. I heard Montréal car thefts are on the rise which is surprising considering how beat up their cars are! And apparently a lot of the car thieves who have been caught were Quebecers!
Because the police call it property crime just, they are not allowed to pursue and when accidentally caught, the courts give them bail all the time. There is no punishment for the criminals. They are not afraid of the police or justice system any more.
When laws protect criminals 😅 this is the result, and then insurance prices are crazy, where the insurance is more expensive than the car. And the police are jokes
It would make absolutely zero sense to ship cars overseas to sell them, if there is a demand caused by shortage in the Canada. BBC will do everything aside from blaming Trudeau and the failings of the criminal justice system
Many of Europe’s stolen vehicles inc agricultural apparently are loaded in shipping containers & are shipped off to Russia. Africa & even South America. There is apparently a thriving used parts trade supplied by stolen vehicles.
@@tysonmilly I swear people don't actually read a comment before replying these days. Trudeau is responsible for appointing a justice minister, who in turn is responsible for............Justice. If crime is going up, the government have a responsibility to deal with it.
It apparently makes sense in Europe. Not only cars but plant. Diggers etc. Popped into shipping containers & away to somewhere where their IDs are changed. Or even stripped for parts.

I can't give you an answer.... The video has no date but you can try to contact the BBC and ask@@rockerjim8045
I love how its the pandemic driven car shortages fault that criminals are being criminals
Not the fault but the crazy high prices created a overwhelming demand that attracted organized crime..

Over a Hundred thousand cars stollen in Canada and only 1,500 detected by Interpol 😮 Not very good detection rate, is it! 🙄🙄🙄🇬🇧🌈🙏♥️
Cars etc popped into shipping containers sent abroad were their IDs are changed are difficult to find.
Diversity at work
All new cars should have tamper proof trackers and immobilisers

I'm sure the US still holds that title.
“Pandemic shortage”, nah it’s just because sentences are a joke and protecting your property with force is illegal.
Most end up in Africa, Russia and Middle East. Saudi buys the large SUV’s at 4 times the price.

I blame it on Canadians
Canada is a country. Also, it's funny how This coincides with mass immigration?
any proof that all these car thefts were done by migrants?
thought so.
