Great and thorough review as usual. Speaking of tactical lights, have you had the opportunity to try the Weltool T17? It seems to have very good features but unfortunately there are almost no reviews on UA-cam.
Thank you mate. I've struggled to get review units from Weltool, I suspect they produce their lights in small batches. I'll keep an eye out for that model. I have the T2 which is an impressive thrower. But the TAC version is better and don't see why they didn't just release that version only.
Love the Armytek lights. Have been carrying the partner C2 V4 a lot lately. It's a really nice compact 18650, very similar in size and form factor to the Olight warrior mini 2. Has a really nice beam profile to my eye, a good tight hotspot with a wide spill of decent intensity in the warm white.
Only had the V4 version for about 3 months, but have had a couple of the older v3 versions for a long time now, probably getting on for 10 years and have been some of my favourite EDC lights. Never had any problems with them even though they have had some pretty hard use and a couple of drops from decent heights when I've been working on ladders, never seemed to bother them aside from a few small scratches and dings.
The older ones had mechanical forward click switches, mode change was in the same style as the predator by loosening the head to access lower modes and they used a TIR optic that produced a wider flood like beam. The new model seems like it was inspired by the Olight warrior mini series with an electronic tail switch with integrated magnetic charging and a mode selection switch on the head of the light. The newer one also has a smooth reflector instead of a TIR and has a lot more throw compared to the old one. It's a nice update but a bit longer than the v3
I got my predator pro today. Mine came in a cardboard box. Looks like it was opened already as there was a tear in the box. Did you know there's a problem turning it on with wet gloves? It won't turn on if gloves are wet or damp.
@@DarrenYeoYTIt was actually the doberman he was complaining about but he said because it has the same switch as predator pro it will be same problem.
Decent spill up ahead but not at your feet. It's a deep reflector so the the spill is reduced and stronger near the hotspot to illuminate around the target.
@@DarrenYeoYT I'm like you. I have 2 headlamps and they don't really interest me because I rarely use them. I usually don't even watch reviews on those either.
@@DarrenYeoYTI have stripped the older armytek batteries and they were LG H2 cells. I don't know about the later model, but if it is Samsung then it's great too.
They've covered all bases with this light, very well rounded. But I'm not sure if it runs on CR123 cells. Didn't say so in the manual but previous versions do apparently.

Love all the hard work. You are an excellent flashlight...edc ...youtuber. keep up the good work. It's a flashlight...well built.
Thank you mate, I got a special Wuben light on the way... The A1
25 meter drop resistance? Did I hear that right? That might be the most impressive thing about this one!! ✌️
Yeah that's that these are rated for. I haven't put that to the test though 😅

Awesome. How long have you had it for? Armytek sound confident about the long term durability of their lights. I don't drop test these 😅

@@rothxvii5181that's awesome to hear those older ones have held up so well. People on BLF were saying the older ones were built different too.

They have viking and doberman pro. I love the fact they have warm options!!!! Kinda spendy though. $105??
Yeah I have the Dobermann Pro but the hotspot on the predator is way more intense. Yeah, and I don't see them have sales on very often.
Best thing about that light is the build quality. Light performance not that great. Good video D. Osram emitters are excellent. Sylvania
That's a good point. This LED produces a similar amount of light to the CULPM1 (Osram W2). But with a larger hotspot/spill. Thanks mate.
@DarrenYeoYT it's lacking for a serious tactical light..like it is. Your P 23 I laughs at that light.
Get an srt7i. Tell me what you think. I want one. I need expert approval.
Maybe! I saw the specs and isn't super exciting to me in terms of throw figures. I like the constant variable output though.
@@DarrenYeoYT 580 meters..3000 lumens...87k candela
@@DarrenYeoYT better throw than this Armytek, with a better UI. Would also like to see a detailed review, since they are scarce.

That's weird, it should work under water? Where did you buy yours from?
@@DarrenYeoYT AE. I saw a video of a guy fixing his water heater i think. He had wet gloves and tried to turn the light on but it didn't work.

@@avgrim7729 hmm interesting, probably something to do with the magnetic charging. Olight has some issues with this too.
Looks like it has a lot of spill? AE has a sale right now. I'm thinking about this or Prime C2 pro max warm.

@@DarrenYeoYT You like the predator pro warm or the Prime C2 pro max warm better? I'm thinking predator since I don't have too many warm throwers.
I couldn't get into headlamps for whatever reason. I'd take the predator pro warm. Max throw and it's a proper tac flashlight. @@avgrim7729

Looks like an EVE Battery.
Yeah might be mate.
Or Samsung? The manual says they recommend Japanese/Korean cells.
