I'm pretty sure they are exactly the same (engine/bike overall), just ours is bored out some more and yours is fuel injection instead of carbs I believe. I have recently purchased a lovely E1 and getting familiar with it.
I only got 2.5 quarts of new fluid back into the bike after drain and flush. I ran the bike several times with the radiator cap both off and on. The manual calls for 2.9 qts so I figure I got almost a half a quart of pure water that didn't get totally drained. I removed both the water pump drain plug and the block plug too. I suppose that half a quart of water has now slightly diluted my 50/50 pre mixed engine ice. 🤔
Cheers pal....i need to do this on my cbr 600f soon. Word is ur heading to scotland soon....let me know if ur anywhere near the south west coast and ill get u a beer 👍
Thank you, Yes!!! I will be off to Scotland very soon. The closet I will be getting to the south west coast will probably be Weston Super Mare. All the best!!
I'm a bit confused. You have "blue" antifreeze in the UK? We only have green antifreeze here in the states, and I've never even seen blue antifreeze. They use orange "Dexcool" in most new American vehicles now. And what is "De-ionized water" exactly? I've read about it for science experiments. But here, we use distilled water for topping off lead acid batteries, and filling up engines, I thought distilled water was sufficient because all the iron, acids, and minerals are removed during distillation.
Hello and thanks for video. I have little question. I got my zzr600 and it was in garage, for long period. More than 14 months. So after starting , warming and little cruise , I noticed that the coolant got out on the rear wheel. It didn't mix oil , it was just coolant. I talked to more experienced guy and he told me to refuel it and to check it again. I really hope is nothing much, just the air bubble , from long sitting in the garage. Cheers 🍻
Hello, I'm sure its absolutely fine. Every time I leave a bike sitting for any long period of time, I usually find things like this. Just keep an eye on it, and hopefully it should stop leaking. If it still continues, definitely get it checked out. All the best & good luck!
hey bro, you have any tips of getting louder sound on the ninja? i have original exhaust with a slip on scorpion 3 bolt. the sound is nice but a bit low compared to what i wanted. you think its because of the Cat? should i change the whole exhaust pipe or what do you suggest?
On this model there is nothing I have found that requires specific clutch fluid. The clutch plates sit in the normal engine oil, and I occasionally grease the clutch cable, but that's as far as my knowledge goes. All the best!
This time it was at 31000 miles, I do it every 2 years, but I think it needs doing every 10k to 15k miles. Probably best to check the service manual for more accurate info. Thanks for watching!
@@Railmover Did you figure out your problem? I got a 2001, seems like it struggles at full throttle. It just seems like theres no throttle response after 70% throttle. I'm guessing it's something with the carbs as i've had my bike for 4 years now and haven't done anything to the carbs.

Much appreciated. Not a newbie, but still worth the time to watch.
Thank you very much, I appreciate your time for watching. All the best!
Glad I found this as my f2 needs this doing and know they very similar engines was unsure where to drain it from

Few months old for me but thanks for the info. Got a Haynes manual but I find it better to watch videos on stuff. Subbed!
Thank you very much! I have to agree, I am more of a video person as well. All the best!
merci a toi !! j ai la même moto, grâce a ta vidéo je vais pouvoir faire pareils que toi !! merci encore !!
Sweet video brotha thank you.
Fisher Price funnel 😆😆😆😆 Great video as always
Haha, glad you liked it. All the best!
When you’re bleeding the coolant, did you just leave the cap on the overflow reservoir open and let air escape that way?
Please could you do a video on throttle freeplay adjustment I've tightened my accelerator cable a bit and now it's a mess :(
Not my strong point I'm afraid, I usually take my bike to the garage for running adjustments. Good luck!
Really really helpful. Cheers chap. Just the vid i need right now. Doing flush on zx9r. Tc.
I'm going to be doing a flush on my 9r soon is it a similar process to this video?
Any chance you can tell us what alarm system you have on this?

Can yu put any coolant in a motorcycle to top it off between full an low
I just use deionised water to top up - works for me perfectly, and that's what my handbook recommends. All the best!
Do we have clutch fluids to change?

at what millage did u do this

I gues its same for zx9r? I got -01 model.
I'm fairly confident this is the same for most of the ZX series. You should be all good with a ZX9 - 01. All the best!
Do we need to do half and half distilled water and coolant or can it be just coolant?
Just use cold boiled water. Same thing ..
I have a 2002 zx6r and have poor throttle problems like is trying to get fuel anyone had this problem?
Carbs done spot on

Why not just remove the bottom hose to drain the system.
