Excellent video. Thank you. Of all the other coolant flush and fill videos I’ve seen, only yours mentioned starting the engine to let the thermostat open. This is the only way to get all the old coolant out. Your video was very informative and easy to follow. Thank you again for sharing this information. I am now confident that I can tackle this job on my own bike. 👍🏾
My expansion tank is halfway between the low and high mark, but I havent changed the coolant within a year and 3 months now. But does the expansion tank coolant mean my bike still has coolant leftover in it? or is it empty? mine overheats and doesnt bring the temp down when starting it.
The expansion tank is for when it gets very hot and needs to push the extta fluid onto the tank. Then it returns when the bike cools down. Overheating can be from several different things Hard to say why without seeing it
@@scottbieber1731 yes, just be sure its the same type, as in ethylene glycol or propylene glycol. You can change to a different type if you want but flush it out real good with water to get all the old stuff out
Great video! This is the most complete coolant change video I have seen. Thank You.
Youre welcome. Glad you liked it

My question: When rinsing the system with distilled water, should the expansion tank be left empty or should water be added as well? kind regards
