Honestly, this is a difficulty on both sides. Really hard to find good honest people, let alone people that are really grounded in their religion and righteous
Assalamualeykum Warahmetullah exactly women think they are the only one searching for a good bribe we men also men a good bribe a good wife not a woman that throws a hijab and also we as men imagine marrying an abusive bribe an abusive wife that keeps shouting at you wellahi woman need to see that it's not only a woman problem i have personally seen husbands been abused because they are scared of their wives same goes for our sisters so let Allah give us a good bribe but if we get a bad bribe let Allah give us sabr.
You be good and you'll find someone good. Universal law. And don't mix being good with being naive or plain weak

I can fully agree with your statement. It is the biggest issue in our Ummah. When young people don't get married at ally there will be no family structure and no protection from both sides. And no offspring will come.
Alhamdulillah, good explanation with a clear concept
It is hard for both sides. But I feel women are more vulnerable, because from a certain age it becomes harder for them to have children. And men want young girls and prefer not to marry a mature women because they might challenge them with knowledge and expectations in form of treatment and the fulfilment of their rights.
i don't think so. i think it's 2 things.
1) women are too demanding of their requirements in a husband and they leave marriage till they are old and then want older husbands. but none exist.
2) men want attractive younger than them wives
the end is a lot of women are left over. and this isn't just a Muslim phenomenon. it's happening in china japan korea india everywhere.
it has nothing to do with men being intimidated by women. it has to do with women delaying marriage for their education and careers and finding out they left it too late.
Men don't want husbands, they want wives. Women want to be independent, and yet want husbands. It just doesn't work. It's a contradiction.
No debate, no sophistry or trying to score points.
Otherwise he would've argued back.
This is proof that Islam is not against women's rights, and this is why Muslims don't need the feminist ideologies. Islam advocates everyone's rights already.
Just following what Islam says and advocating for it.

I mean, what do you want the guy to say that he probably hasn't already said a billion times over regarding this topic? That's why he didn't want to answer...his demeanor said it all... "what do you want from me?" The whole process of finding a partner is more complex than the cosmos....this problem is everywhere, not just in the Muslim ummah. Dot your i's and cross your t's and hope for this best.
