Join us for a rig tour/walk around video of our high mileage 2017 Land Cruiser. We've traveled far and wide in this beast! From the southern states to the tippy-top of the pacific north west, we'd still take her anywhere! Nothing compares to the reliability of a well maintained Land Cruiser, even a high mileage one!
Had a 2014. Best SUV ever owned. Lost it in a divorce.
Rip my heart out x2! So sorry to hear that. LC's are the best.
Man this hit. Sorry to hear it bud.
You’ll bounce back. Sorry that happened to you.
RIP❤
The new man driving your land cruiser??
Nice rig. My Friend just purchased a 2021 Heritage Edition with Icon suspension and is loving it. My 80 is still going strong 251k
oooo Heritage Editions are so beautiful! I hope he loves it. No doubt the 80 is going strong, they are the G.O.A.T.S. 🦾
366333 miles is nothing for these beast.
Agreed!!
Wife and I are looking at a 2019 1-owner lc with 147k on it. Priced at 49k at a stealership, if we can pull off 44k otd... think that's worth?
Sweet rig, looks great for the mileage! Got 316k on my 100 series LC and literally just got back from Pismo beach trip from So Cal area (around 600mi. round trip) and she didn’t skip a beat!
Thank you for the kind words! She definitely held her beauty & robust style for 366k. 316k is right on our heels!! Not shocked at all that she made the trip & ran like a top!! Maintenance is what keeps these beasts rolling on. Hope you had a great trip, thanks for being here!!
Sweet video guys! You guys should post more often. I see huge potential in this channel
We are definitely working on it, thank you! Loaded our first video in December & didn't really know it if was going to take off, but looks like we will be embarking on this YT adventure while we build our new rig that comes home this coming Sunday!!! Thanks for the support, kind words & for being here. :-)
Toyota is always my first option due to its reliability and durability, then the rest follows
absolutely!
The new LC250 pricing came out.........I think I"ll just find an LC200 or LX570. LOL
Kind of a zinger when you can find a cheaper option that’s very capable & still in really nice condition! Don’t blame you one bit!
LX570 is nicer
@@r.christopher2304kinda? In the TLC/LX variants there's really not that much difference.
Believe you only need to keep an eye on intake dusting with these (plastic starts to warp on the matting surface for the filter housing). That being said dont ever sell her, it is peak landcruiser this and is only going to gain value as the years roll on.
We would like to sponsor CarPlay upgrade kit for your LC200. How can I contact you?
Unfortunately we don't have the 200 anymore, but thanks for reaching out!
What are the tire and wheel specs?
So the previous owner obviously didn’t take care of it and it still is reliable, can’t beat Toyota reliability.
Maintenance wise it has an extensive history… interior wise, hell no. It was absolutely disgusting when we drove it home.
200th subscriber! Winning! Recently got an LX570, 2016 . 91k miles. A little cheaper but no land cruiser badge :( The build starts!
A badge is a badge. The lx570 are so boujee, you’re gonna love it!! Be sure to share your build with us on instagram, we would love to see it!!
What suspension?
Nice video. I have a 100 with 460k miles and a 200 with 125k. Both owned since new. A lot of miles and a ton of money in gas. I've spent almost $40k in fuel on the 200 and almost $100k in gas for the 100.
Wow that is awesome you’ve owned since new! We totally hear you on the fuel consumption. That is the absolute worst part of gas Land Cruiser ownership. 😮💨
@@mandaandhamBut, not very many other SUV's get much better mpg. Not including the differences in reliability with pretty much anything else. Nice Rig. There really is not an equal.
Agree on the full synthetic oil changes every 5K 👊
only way to go to increase engine lifespan!! 👊🏽
Enjoy it! I currently own the 80 series but I don’t mind to get one of these one day!
80s are where it's at. We are on our way back to an 80 asap!! 200s are definitely cushy & less rugged. The boujee Land Cruiser of the cruiser world. Definitely the most comfortable on long road trips, of all we've owned. 80's though, have our hearts!!
GX470 Owner
Love a 200 series. Subscribed!
Hey thanks for being here!! oooo GX 470, another great rig!!
So how many miles does it have?
366k
Let me know if you guys have any interest in an ARB front bumper. My 2019 has an ARB with Baja design LP9’s and diode dynamic fogs. The bumper has only been on 2 trips and the car is not a daily driver. I’m looking to swap that setup for a stock, painted bumper.
Thanks for the offer! We sold the 200 a few months ago to buy the vehicle to pull a diesel cruiser project home. However, the future buyer might be here in the comments!!
I think the million miles Tundra's were the 2UZ-FE(4.7L) motors. Do you have a build video? What lift and suspension did you go with? Do you think your mpg difference from '08 was the 8spd trans? I've heard there has been little if any fuel efficiency. Where are y'all st in mo?
Most of our build specs are on instagram with photos of the rig. Ironman suspension/lift & will never use them again. They do not stand behind their warranty. Dobinsons or Icon or Kings are superior.
Yes, as mentioned in the video, believe the transmission in the 2017 = better fuel economy, but there are several friends of ours in 2008-2015 cruisers & they also have experienced poor fuel economy, both lifted & not lifted. Lift any of them & fuel economy is immediately reduced.
Great video guys! I’m in the market for a low mileage LC 200 16+ but considering a higher mileage with good service records after watching your video. One quick question. Have you been able to get the air bag warning light to go off? I’ve read about that water intrusion can cause issue with wiring to air bags causing the airbag light to be come on. And it’s apparently it’s cost prohibitive to get fixed.
Hmmm, never had that issue with either of our 200s, so I'm not sure how common that is! I would say definitely check ih8mud & join all the 200 series Facebook groups you can. Appreciate the comment though & thanks for being here!! Please let us know if you figure out a fix so we can share it with other 200 series drivers here, should they encounter that issue too. That's a tough one we just haven't had happen, sorry we are not much help!!
Just bought a 2014 with 70k original miles and rust prevention coating but kdss work needed.
I got it back today and see why people love LC. Million miles hopefully, congrats on yours!!!
Welcome to the LC club!! They are definitely superior vehicles. Can't wait to hear if you hit the million mile mark. I know you can do it!! 🦾 🦾 🦾
I bought a new 21 Heritage 200 and sold it after a year of ownership. I just couldnt bring myself to use it as I intended. Made about 6k on it. Kick myself for selling it now. But I bought a 2 year old GX460 that I use and has been great.
When a cruiser is really nice, it’s extremely difficult to use it as you intended!! We can definitely attest that we know this first hand. Can also agree we’ve had our fair share of sellers remorse. That GX460 has to be pretty fun though. 🙃 Thanks for sharing your story!!
Have a 2013 LX570. Bought it with 41k, now 88k. Plan on it being my last vehicle; 500k here I come!
Can't wait to hear from you as the miles climb!! Land Cruisers/LX's are truly the most reliable. Bring on the next hundred thousand!!!
Looking for a 200 Series in about a year or so. The savings from 2008-2015 is definitely substantial compared to the 2016+ however ah it is tough because I think the 2016+ looks way more updated and modern IMO.
2016+ was our favorite version of the 200. We previously owned a 2008 & didn’t have the same doting feelings towards it as we did the 2016+. It was capable & a massive upgrade from the 80/100s in terms of interior space & features. Will say of all the cruisers we’ve owned, we actually deeply disliked both 200s more than any other series. It’s great for long road trips & very comfortable. Heated steering & seats are a major bonus too. It’s not so great at overlanding & camping unless you spend an astronomical amount for all new suspension & you do the works. Also very expensive to fix, as you can’t work on it yourself, which we prefer to do, after multiple negative dealer experiences. All boils down to personal preference!
I see this is for sale at a dealership. Did you trade it in, and why? I'd consider buying it.
Sold it to a dealer so we could buy a diesel truck & drag home a diesel cruiser. We put 18K+ miles on it in almost a year of ownership.
78th subscriber..
I would love to get one but the thing is im afraid about the cars condition i don't know how to check the technical details..
Hey! 👋 Thanks so much for being here! Sounds like we need to film a video about what to look for in each of the 200 series before you buy. Thanks for the idea, we will get around to this asap! Always happy to try & answer questions over on IG also.
Lx570 2021 f sport is my fav lc200 I don’t even like off-roading just love shopping and driving in Chinatown
Just picked up my 2020 with 8,000 miles. Excited, want to keep the car stock but just add bigger tires
LOOOOOW miles! WOW! Congrats!! The bigger tires the better, at least that's what we say. 😏
What a beauty. Nice truck, and great video. Can’t wait to lift my GX. Make more content!Subbed
thanks for the kind words & for being here! ooo if you’re on IG you’ll have to find us & share pics when you lift her. working on more content as we speak! 🫡
Maybe I missed it somewhere but what did you do about the steering wheel peel? No doubt it had lots of it with that mileage. New steering wheel?
Never ended up doing anything to it. Just left it!
The camera angle hid it very well! Haha
Thanks!
Have a ‘16 and agree wholeheartedly.
I appreciate your content and look forward to what’s next after this one!
Question, what would be your biggest question/investigation when looking at a 200 series? I’m looking at a CA 1-owner 2015 w/ 80k-from your experience, what do I need to look at or be concerned with?
Yes, I’m NEW!!!! Thank you!
Thanks for being here & for the kind comment! ih8mud is a wonderful resource & has been helpful numerous times when we’ve wanted to buy land cruisers. Every cruiser is unique & most come with their own set of quirks & features! Getting a carfax & checking the radiator prior to purchase would be our best suggestions, as 200s “usually” need new radiators as they near the 100k mile mark. An OEM radiator would also be a bonus!
@@mandaandham thank you for the info. I’ve wanted an LC since the mid-80s, yes, I’m old…. It’s a bit of a nerve racking jump but if not now then when?
Looking forward to seeing what replaced your 376k LC!
Just saw this on auto trader... what happened? Maybe I missed it in the video.
you’ll have to watch the next video to find out! 🤪
What type of oil viscosity do u use? And how often do u change it ?
we always did 0W20 & changed it every 5k miles - hopefully the new owner will do the same so this can continue to truck on down the road
Is this thing listed for sale at a ford dealership in MO??
Yep, they gave us an offer we couldn't refuse... we took the cash & bought 3 more rigs to play with.
Just picked up my 2018 with 98k and I’m pumped.
WOOOOHOOOO! That's awesome!! Congrats! 2018 with 98k is just getting started!! The real question, where are you going with it first?!
Lovely vehicle and the epitome of built to last.
Couldn’t agree more! Thanks for the compliment!
Post more vids, want to see adventures this new Cruiser will bring you guys.
Ahhh, the 2017 was not new for us~ our journey in it has come to a close! We owned it for almost a full year & put almost 20k miles on it! While we throughly enjoyed it, we've rolled on to a new project!! Everyone on instagram probably saw it first, since we tend to share on UA-cam in arrears. Thanks for being here though & we look forward to sharing our future adventures. :-)
@@mandaandham Yes sorry I was late to the party! I don’t have instagram but I did subscribe to your YT channel. Looking forward to your new project and adventures. Please post more vids here , you both seem like chill and good peeps. 😇
Great edit for a small channel!
Thanks! Just getting started!
you already selling it?
We were lucky to enjoy this cruiser for almost a year, that we bought on a whim!
Nice one, this engine is a beast
sure is! thanks for the kind words!
Awesome cruiser.
Thank you! Dragging a new addition to the family home soon!
I’ve a 2018 with 85,000km great vehicle.
It's a shame you guys don't get the Mighty Nissan Patrol.
You're not the only one who's said this!!
Whats the tire size you’re currently running?
We’ve got 285/70/17r on the 2017
I wanna c it hit 400k🫡
Would be so cool! Hopefully the new owners keep up the maintenance.
