My favorite track from Strays, Jane's Addiction's most underrated album! And a really good version of it here as well. Anyone who grew up with the band from the beginning recognizes some of the songs from back in the day. I don't sit and compare it to their first three records because I love them all. Those records mark the time we grew up in and all the times we saw the band play live. I think it's hilarious to see some of these "classic" comments that dis Strays, because that record is 12 years old and now IS a classic Jane's record!!!
@seekah1 As a long time fan of Jane's Addiction, I agree that "Strays" doesn't match up with the awesomeness of their last two albums. Although it's missing some of that insanity, it still rocks. Dave Navarro's guitar work is sick. And Perry can still wail like a banshee. They're this generation's Page and Plant.
i think the first 5 songs are great, this song works better live. like many albums of that time it's way too compressed/loud/distorted, unpleasant to listen to at a volume you can feel. also it doesn't have the same beautiful artistic depth of their first two studio albums
@revolutionday1 most JA fans didn't get into 'Strays' cos its not really Janes addiction unless its the original line up. Thats why i never bought it anyway.
@ovneb fair enough, I just miss the edge of Avery, but I respect their decision to keep rolling and his to quit. I would still jump to see them play live, however rock they decide to go.
@seekah1 yea, I miss Avery too. I always thought Flea was a good replacement. When he joined them for Jane's Relapse, that was the closest thing to the original Jane's Addiction I've ever heard. He's got good chemistry with Stephen and Dave. Hopefully, Duff McKagen will do a good job. Maybe he'll bring some punk back into the mix that was missing on "Strays".
Chris Chaney is great. "Strays" was great. However, I do have to admit that every time I see this lineup live, it's a bit like watching a Jane's Addiction cover band or something.
@revolutionday1 ur right its all about the quality of the music but i didnt like ac/dcs songs after scott kicked the bucket or whatever because i didnt like the songs not the line up
@johnnydorelli1 nirvana and rhcp have a similar sound they are both great but kurt cobain: a) cant sing too well b)stuck a gun to his head and pulled the trigger-in other words he fuckin killed himself I am a fan of nirvana and rhcp AND janes addiction
@gibster17472 I cant even believe its the same band its so fucking different. A dumb choice roping in Bob 'its all about rock' Ezrin as producer and the obvious lack of the genius that is Avery. This was doomed from the outset.
he's not just a singer, he's a front man and performer. Perry is a legend

that riff kills!
Killer track! What a groove!
awesome. rare song. even rarer band.
Fanatastic to be able to see my favourite Jane's track played live. Dave's guitar sound, so cool(& that's from a tone-deaf drummer).
merci d'avoir DL ca Fleafly.c'est vraiment une des meilleures de Strays!!!
wow! back when much music had music
i thnk this, true nature, and jus because have dave's unique style on strays which r damn good
agree...plus one of the few new tracks that actually sound like jane's addiction.
thx 4 posting !
Dave "Funkmaster" Navarro
Dave playing t 2:44 is the top of this video for me!
luv it

Merci beaucoup pour cette poste :)
As the best Rock n Roll should!!
he's back with the band.
this song has some of my favourite lyrics on Strays, & the song works a little better live than the studio recording
awesome ^^
cool groove.......
BZZZZZT!!
it gets better!! hahaha hahaha
haha i love that.
Yes Navarro!
This guy had a great stadium voice
Personally, I absolutely love "Strays". I don't know why everyone is always shitting on it.

Compared to Nothings Shocking, Ritual, and Porno For Pyros it’s a bit lacking. Although, I will say Strays has some wonderful songs.
@@HiGlowie totally, those first 5 songs really stick in my head

@rapperzondernaam very nice!

Fucking awesome riff man
perry redifines camp!! camp is cool!!!! Perry your a legend (as are Janes)
yeah, thats true...

De rien :)
love navarros improv at 3:00
Best track on strays besides True Nature.
@ovneb duff mckagan rocks- former guns n roses member?????????!!!!!!!!
nah, I think that's Eric Avery.
Chris Chaney is great. "Strays" was great. However, I do have to admit that every time I see this lineup live, it's a bit like watching a Jane's Addiction cover band or something.
Well, you know what they say about "opinions and assholes", right? "Everybody's got one". *SHRUG*
Oh right. Who, by the way?
no puedes comparar nirvana con janes addiction
this dude is stoned i love that cheesy stuff they say before the songs though
Seems your keen on making observations about.... things
@revolutionday1 ur right its all about the quality of the music but i didnt like ac/dcs songs after scott kicked the bucket or whatever because i didnt like the songs not the line up
the singer looks like scarface
@johnnydorelli1 nirvana and rhcp have a similar sound they are both great but kurt cobain: a) cant sing too well b)stuck a gun to his head and pulled the trigger-in other words he fuckin killed himself
I am a fan of nirvana and rhcp AND janes addiction
That's like not buyin' an AC/DC album because it doesn't have Bon Scott on it. Lame ass.
its good, but compared to their classic albums, its a bit dull and safe. Strays was too overproduced and 'stadium rock' sounding for a Jane's album
the singer is somewhat mediocre, but you have to admit the guitarist's good.
@elsetherino Most shit is overated, I dont give a fuck about ratings. Nirvana were a great band, obviously.
janes addiction sucks
@gibster17472 I cant even believe its the same band its so fucking different. A dumb choice roping in Bob 'its all about rock' Ezrin as producer and the obvious lack of the genius that is Avery. This was doomed from the outset.
muito ruim ...
