After you get over general awesome, pay close attention to the wardrobe choices ... and get blown away all over again. Band-Maid is in their typical performance gear, but whomever dressed The Warning for this deserves all the awards. Dany's suit matches Saike's dress in the same way you'd want your suit to match your partner's. Not an identical match, but complimentary in terms of fabric, cut & overall vibe. But then metallic embellishments on Dany's freaking TIE match the motif on the front of Kanami's dress. Pau's outfit is very similar to Akane's, minus puffy sleeves (because Pau rarely bothers with sleeves). Ale's outfit mirrors MISA's, but with the front embellishments you typically see on what Ale wears in concert (moons in this case). All three outfits still look like something DPA would wear, and they all coordinate with the outfits of the other sisters while also coordinating with their Band-Maid counterpart. An absolute masterclass in costuming, NGL.
I really hope they announce a formal tour together in the future. Imagine them doing their own shows and then sharing the stage as well in a well choreographed, professional way that they are both known for!
"I need a lifetime of this sh*t" yep you nailed it, this collab is a glorious merger of talent, creativity, charisma and outright bad ass Rock Sisterhood 👍🍻🍻
La entrada de Dany...fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Warning and Band Maid...2 de las mejores Bandas del mundo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🎸🤘🏻⚡️ WOW !!!! This was awesome. These two bands sound sooooo good together. Really hope they do more collaborations together. Would also love to see them tour the US together. Rock on Ladies🤘🏻
In the last two years, these bands have become Bestie Friends. They like and admire each other and the work they produce. They socialize when they can. The comradery clearly shows in this video and helps make it the glorious work that it is.
I was pretty surprised on how Dany was able to match her voice to Saiki; and really loved Misa with the slap bass & Ale with her bass slides! I was actually lucky enough to see the live version from the Tokyo before the strike notices hammered YT channels, it of course was fun. Trying to picture both bands playing this together in Mexico, maybe with each member having an extended solo section, song might go 20 minutes long but the awesomeness would be immeasurable!!
The biggest discovery in this collab - Dani discovered Spicy Ramen, Po! 🦍🍌Now, the Spanish version, por favor, Pou! Arigatou, Po! FYI, in an PRS Japan interview with Dani and Kanami, they eluded to a CDMX collab (2025?) with The Warning taking the lead. Dani challenged Kanami that they should write and sing a Spanish lyric'd song, Po! 🇲🇽
Yes I hope there is more on the way. At least that what I got out of the PRS interview. Kanami talked working together on songs that’s with a “S”! 🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!
TW are coming close to you in a few weeks, and BM will be heading to Mexico in the not to far distant future. We are really hoping they put on a few shows together, as It's been teased by them already. Crazy how they just gel together as they do.
What an amazing song! I've been listening to it non-stop all day. Also thanks for spreading the word on TW! I saw you hyping them up in AR's channel on one of his reactions.
Nice reaction. There is so much going on in this song. There's an excellent interview with the bands on the Billboard website under Music, in case you are interested.
excellent reaction. Now everyone who votes for The Warning as Best MTV VMA'S plush performance can vote up to 20 times a day. Greetings and thanks for the reaction.
W I N !!!!! W I N !!! I think we can just say, at their level, Band-Maid and The Warning are equal peers at the very top of the "Rock" pile. Thx 🤘⚡🎀 Thx, Zack.
I was at the Tokyo show when they played this live! It was incredible. I hope they ralese that version too! It was frustrating that you didn't run it through once before fucking interrupting.
Folks that say this is an OK song, or it's a Band-Maid Song or it's a The Warning song have no idea what it takes to create a collaboration let alone a collab with two full bands. It's a sisyphean task and these ladies have pulled it off magnificently.
Thematically, this could be a follow-on from "Hate?" after ditching the loser guy and setting a fresh course and not letting anyone dictate their choices. This is so anthemic it brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it.
Cute that two girlgroups meet and greet and decide to do something together and having fun. And they have made an OK tune together and had fun doing it, and they are absolutely welcome to do it again. My thoughts about bandmaid - well I personally wont be a Band Maid fan - their music is a bit too chaotic to me - but it's nice to see the friendship - and that's not bad ehh?
Huge fan of The Warning for YEARS. I can appreciate the collab while acknowledging that Band Maid just isn’t my cup of tea. It’s shrill to my ears and makes me appreciate even more The Warning’s knack for melody and composition. To each their own
Then you’ve never listened to one ballad by BM or seen them live. I have. BM songs are so much more complex and have great hooks and melodies. You just don’t know BM. You will never see me misrepresent the talent of The Warning or their musical style.
@@albertcornett7408 I said not my cup of tea, Albert. By all means, enjoy what you enjoy. Don’t misrepresent my compliment of The Warning as a diss toward Band Maid. That’s on you.
Hi Sharks 😉, it's a beautiful song, not a great song. This is a BANDMAID song and if you listen closely I notice that BM probably made her solo parts stand out a bit more. But it's not about who is better, it's more about the mutual respect and the fun that both bands obviously had. And that's ultimately what it's all about. I like it. Greets from Germany 💖🤘⚡⚡⚡
Not my favorite collab but im happy they got to do it with a band that's a fan of them and vice versa. Seems like they had fun. What i think would be cool is collabs with solo singers who are more on the rock side.
@@zack_reacts I definitely heard her in the Bass off section with the other Bassist, but everywhere else in the song I'm just not hearing her. Maybe a few more listens and I might be able to pick her out.
I think Ale was right where she wanted to be. Holding down the fort, helping drive the song. I bet it took a lot to get her to do that little bit of bass soloing she did do. She has been coming out of her shell a lot more lately, but I think it will still be a couple more years before she fully embraces the spotlight that she deserves.
Pau as well. Most of the video shots of her was with her left hand cocked but not drumming. I felt like this was a Band-Maid video with The Warning mostly as a prop. And I can't distinguish Dany's voice from Saiki's. If I close my eyes it sounds like one singer. Dany's voice was post-processed or drowned out by Saiki's voice, yet everyone acts like this is some masterpiece.
Yeah the meaning of the song takes a back seat to everything else on this one. Do you self a favor and play Ale's bass part over a few times. I gets lost in the mix and is literally the best part of the song.
Yes that was intentional I think, the band stepped all over Ale’s bass solo and then let the other bassist play by itself with nothing covering it. Ale fingers are flying and are incredibly strong, bad ass solo if you can isolate it.
Really don't get this. I admit I'm not a fan of Band Maid at all and I have tried and tried to like their music, but it's just too frantic compressed and lacking melody. I think it's mainly their vocalist I don't like. Her voice is way to affected and the production is soulless. There are glimmers of the Warning here and there but it's mostly compressed to death. Nice video production and a bit of fun.
I see what you're saying- from a production aspect. You see things often (actually with both groups) that feel a little over produced, which is why most people prefer lives. I think you have to actually love both groups to love this. They didn't even need to play anything and I was sold just seeing them together. Saiki, like most vocalists- it's a taste thing. It doesn't have to be for everyone. Cool you gave it multiple shots though!
I like the video and studio version but I’m also hoping they release a proshot live video. It seems they recorded it based on some snippets they published. These two bands shine with live performances.
I can agree with some of this, but disagree with some as well. I too have tried to get on the Band Maid train, so far I have only found a few songs that I actually like. It is a bit frantic and formulaic. But I disagree on the vocal production of this song. I think the vocals are actually pretty raw. Which is part of why I enjoy this track. Especially the verses. I love the trading off, with a bit of overlapping harmonies in there. The chorus can get a bit shrill, but not unpleasantly so for my ears. The thing that 'sells' this for me, is the way both bands seem to be having a blast doing it.
Love both bands but this was definitely not produced or mixed by anyone from The Warning. Almost sounds like The Warning cut the song and then walked off and let Band Maid have at it. Someone thinned out Dani’s voice to sound like band maid. Doesn’t sound like Dani at all, Dani’s voice is thicker than this. Stepped all over Ale’s bass solo and you can only hear half of it. To me that was on purpose, Ale’s was killing it with just fingers and then let band maid’s bass solo play out there clear and by itself. The arrangement is messy and has no direction, very cluttered. The bass ending didn’t make sense and did not fit, again allowing band maids bassist to show off. Dani’s solo and Ale’s solos were not zoomed in on showing their fingers or frets while band maids were focused on from start to end. Both bands can do a better collab but this time let The Warning do the arrangement and let The Warning engineers do their thing instead. This is all IMHO but I think I can make a case for each observation.
zOMG, this was SO GOOD! Who knew Saiki+Dany would harmonize so well together?! All 8 of them just collectively SLAYED this track.
Band-Maid and The Warning are the new "Power Couple" in rock!!!!!!!!!
Was lucky enough to see the live debut of this back in June at their joint concert in Tokyo
Also caught the videos premiere too this morning
"I need more of that"
Truer words have never been spoken on a Tuesday. 🤘🔥🤘
